We also could not find any employees available on the sales floor to assist her. She went to the front to ask for help, and the employee responded rudely, saying they couldn't leave and would send someone to assist--but no one came. After waiting about 15 minutes, another employee walked by. When asked for help, they responded in a rude manner, saying they had too much to do, and only briefly pointed out where the item was instead of actually helping. Customer service like this is frustrating and unprofessional. If the item wasn't needed, we would have walked out. Definitely reconsidering shopping here again.

The new location is really nice--quite the upgrade from their previous location. In past experiences, there was superb help in selecting & trying on shoes, which is why we went there. My husband had no idea what his shoe size is. Nor did I know because he always bought his own stuff. This having to do EVERYTHING for my man is a new experience. So I was shocked & dismayed that there wasn't a shoe guy to help. WTF? No more customer service in that shop. When I asked about the shoes, the guy said, "we just got these. I don't know anything about them ". What?? They used to be able to give the stats about everything on the shelf. So, I bit the bullet & became the shoe salesman. Pisses me off. Paid almost $200 for a pair of shoes that I had to sell to my man. Not impressed. I would have gone elsewhere but I couldn't handle another episode like that. This is a nice store, but the help went south. Where is that older guy who was so knowledgeable & helpful? These guys were nice but totally stressed me out.

Faith in humanity restored…read more Hubby and I stopped by the store to purchase life vests because we had forgotten ours at home. We were in a bit of a rush, so after trying a few on, I accidentally left my purse hanging on one of the racks. We headed to the lake without realizing it. It wasn't until we were leaving that I noticed my purse was missing. The store was already closed, so all I could do was hope it was still there. Thankfully, nothing in my accounts had been compromised. We went back right when the store opened, and there were Sal and Peter, waiting for us to come claim it. My purse was completely untouched -- everything was still inside. I offered them a reward, but they refused. Sal and Peter, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your honesty, kindness, and integrity. In a world where we often hear about the bad, you reminded us that there are still genuinely good people out there. Big 5 is truly lucky to have you both. Thank you for restoring a little bit of our faith in humanity. Good people still exist. We just have to remember to recognize and appreciate them.

I felt like a criminal waiting to hold up the place. I understand how it could make someone nervous, but I'm just a clueless dad trying to get some new dance wear in a city where there's not a lot of options. The lady takes some time to warm up to and starts to treat you a lot nicer and make you more comfortable. She is sometimes abrupt but also generous at the same time; I can't seem to figure it out. This is a good store for dance clothing and a lot cheaper then the other place that averages about ten dollars more per person. GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A BIGGER BUSINESS THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT YOU! They will ship your packages days AFTER the projected ARRIVAL date and take a "that's your problem" stance when you call customer service. Then your packages will get rerouted all over, which is apparently common with AL's (seriously mine was 20 minutes away from my home at one point and is now 1000+ miles away). THE POST OFFICE THEY USE TO SHIP HAS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE... HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE PEOPLE?! Please shop anywhere else. It's been over 6 weeks since my order and my package STILL isn't here.
