I had a really disappointing experience at Dick's Sporting Goods. My sister-in-law and l went in looking for a wrist support brace for her son and couldn't find it. We also could not find any employees available on the sales floor to assist her. She went to the front to ask for help, and the employee responded rudely, saying they couldn't leave and would send someone to assist--but no one came. After waiting about 15 minutes, another employee walked by. When asked for help, they responded in a rude manner, saying they had too much to do, and only briefly pointed out where the item was instead of actually helping. Customer service like this is frustrating and unprofessional. If the item wasn't needed, we would have walked out. Definitely reconsidering shopping here again. read more

You need more than 2 dressing rooms!! Super annoying waiting for one. I almost dropped my 4 items to leave because I was tired of and annoyed waiting. This was on a Sunday afternoon. Other women there were annoyed as well. Staff person: tall, full girl, dark hair spoke like a mouse. Very sweet, but REALLY needs to speak up better. It was astonishing how quiet her voice was. This location is a bit mismanaged. The footwear section was really busy and they only had three employees working there so it was getting backed up. Two different employees said how disorganized the backroom was and they couldn't find the shoe size that was instock. Diego doesn't even work at this location but he tracked down the size I needed and had a great attitude. Carter checked me out and was extremely helpful in recommending the DSG app for rewards points. I think this location is good it just needs more organization in the back. read more

My daughter needed her first soccer cleats and is in between shoe sizes so I specifically came here to have her try some on and find the best fit. I also grew up going to the store to get new soccer cleats so this trip was nostalgic and special to me! One of the workers made time for me, accommodated my needs, assessed to see if it was a good fit and made sure they were comfortable for her. I so appreciated it. I wanted to get a pair of shoes and all they had was display shoes, so there was nothing I could try on, but then I noticed a kiosk. Basically you use the kiosk to request a pair of shoes to try on and someone would bring them out to you and you can request up to four pairs of shoes at a time. So I went through requested four pairs of shoes and sat down and waited. Five minutes later I heard my name got up and they gave me a single pair of shoes. I told them I had asked for four pairs and they looked at their phone and said "oh yeah, let me get that free to you in a minute". 10 minutes later they came out with two more pairs of shoes and I said I ordered four pairs. They looked at their phone and told me they we didn't see that in their system. I went back to the kiosk to order a couple more pairs of shoes and waited for 10 minutes than 15 minutes and no shoes came out so I went and re-ordered them on the kiosk. The same thing happened. Eventually I just left because I couldn't just wait for shoes to show up that weren't gonna show up. That was just a waste of time so then we went to Al sporting goods and everything was great there so if you're looking for shoes, don't go to Dick's go to Al's. read more

I wish I could give 0 zero stars my experience at dicks sporting goods was absolutely awful. I needed to try things on in a fitting room but no one was around to help me. After wandering the store for 15 minutes I found two girl employees talking and yelling profanities in front of my little kids. So inappropriate!! I asked one of them if they could help me with a fitting room and the girl, ashley, rolled her eyes as if I was interrupting her thrilling conversation. She walked me over to the fitting room and as I am leaving the fitting room she says WE"RE CLOSING SOON CAN I HELP YOU WITH SOMETHING? So it was very apparent that dicks sporting goods employees only want to help their customers when they want to go home. management should really talk with their employees about professionalism. It has nice cloths however the shoe department needs assistance. There was no one there to help me fit into/choose my newest tennis shoes for wide feet. $133 cost is a lot to me. So when my one foot hurt after 2 outing I took them back for a full refund. No problem as I had a receipt and it was less than 2 weeks. You get a nice in store discount if you purchase something again within 3 hours. So if you do decide to take something back why not stay a while and shop the clearance rack where's u don't need help fitting into a pair of expense shoes. They have a nice selection of Nike cloths however Top dollar. read more

Dicks Sporting Goods in Saint George Utah is a store I'd stay clear of. A few Months ago my wife and I bought a DMX bike for our 13 year old daughter. She only took it to a skate park twice and on her second visit three weeks after we bought bike the gear that holds the pedals inside the frame broke. I didn't buy the extended warranty but I figured it being less then a month since we bought the bike they would be able to help. I had my recipe and the other paper work they gave me. I was wrong, they said there wasn't anything they could do since I didn't buy the warranty. I said it's only been a few weeks with easy riding. He said yeah it shouldn't have broken so easily but unfortunately there wasn't anything he could do. I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with these guys, they don't back up their customers. read more

So. Normally I only use yelp for restaurants, but I just had great customer service over the phone and felt it needed recognition. I wanted a specific Patagonia jacket for my Dad for Christmas and I had looked everywhere for the correct size and color; Patagonia, Back country, etc. I waited on the customer service line forever after receiving an email saying my in store pick up purchase was cancelled. It's two days until Christmas so I called the store to see what they still had available and Greg helped me find what I needed despite my confusing and slightly wrong instructions haha. I got the sweater I needed and Greg didn't make me feel like I was as a burden. Thanks again, Greg! read more

I like Dick's for great selection and diversity of products. But man are they expensive. You go in to buy a running outfit for you and your wife and walk out having lost weight........from all the cash they took from your wallet. I do feel like it has better quality than your other department stores, but not enough to merit a 200% price difference. The employee in the shoe department just gave me one word answers n didn't really seem to care about helping me. Dicks is a pretty good store with a lot of sporting goods and a decent selection but they are really really expensive. It's best to shop the clearance deals here. The shoe selection isn't that great either, you would be better going to footlocker or just ordering some online from nike.com or eastbay. read more

We were in the store for 25 minutes and did purchase however one has to be quite self motivated to find the items you walked in for. Discounted to 129) and asked them to discount to Zappos or REI price of 99.95. Would not do it because neither is a brick and mortar store in this thriving metropolis of St George.
