Fun course with a fun layout. Dry this time of year, but the greens are well maintained so it meets my minimum standards. Front is easy to walk as it is relatively flat, but the back nine is where all the elevation is. read more

Girl golfer here! Reviewing golf courses on behalf of the ladies. A group of us came down to the area for a weekend and my girl, Shannon, and I had to hit a course. We chose this one because of the photos on the website, out of the three in the area. I'd give this course 4.5 stars if I could. It's absolutely beautiful. The course is gorgeous and well-maintained. It was $22 for 9 holes. We played the front nine at 9:50 and were chased by two foursomes, which is one of the reasons for dropping the score. The other reason is that the grounds girl ran over my ball with her tire right on the fairway, right in front of me! But. This course is well maintained and has few roughs for losing your ball. The water hazards, however, are hazardous indeed! Shannon left 8 balls for the water gods for good measure. A great course and a lot of fun to play! I would absolutely play here all the time if I lived close by. read more

Played this course for 25 years it's no where it was when the county owned it . VERY slow play be cause they don't respect a tee time . Greens aren't bad but fairway and light rough is ridiculous. Unless you like hitting them out of the rocks!! read more

My family was visiting from out of state and we planned to golf together. I am not sure what was up with the marshal but he drove up and said there were complaints that we were taking too long! This was literally on the second hole! Not sure if women aren't welcome but that was not even the case! Let me tell you we finished our round in 4 hrs and 10 to 15 min! I had to wait at almost every hole to tee off! The group in front of us asked if we would like to join them since we were all waiting together! Terrible behavior by the course! He should have talked to the three men that we were all stuck behind, throwing tantrums after 2 consecutive balls were hit in the pond! Despite the marshal lying and then telling my husband that we were mad because we were waiting on them is so ridiculous! I was mad that my husband didn't have me go in front of him because there is always some man that flexes his testosterone by hitting into us or in this case a marshal that could have let us enjoy our family time! The saving grace is the great young man in the club house who apologized to me! He is the reason there isn't one star! read more

A fun course with affordable green fees and great people. On a calm day playing from the forward tees you can score well here but when the wind is hauling through the corridor and you play from the tips it's plenty challenging. read more

Let me be clear. My three stars is a compliment. It is "A-OK." It is not a put-down or criticism. It is a place I would go back to. All right, now that we have that behind us, on to the review: Went here with my brother (first time for both of us). Was pleasantly surprised all around. The staff (Kathy in particular) was great - very helpful, very friendly. Kathy filled a bag of ice (doubled bagged it actually) and put it in the back of our cart for our drinks - bonus points for sure. It wasn't terribly expensive. $25 per 18 holes (I think?), plus more for a cart. Definitely reasonable. The course itself is surprisingly good. It is relatively open, with few trees, but it makes good use of hazards, particularly water/marshes/pond/streams. They don't take up much space, but their placement is very strategic and makes course management truly important. It IS right by OR-22, but the traffic isn't too distracting. The course is pretty beautiful (we were finishing up just at sunset and it was pretty freaking amazing). All in all a fun course that I would definitely recommend and go to again. read more

Learn how to schedule tee times. I play a lot of golf and this was one of the worst run golf courses. Took about 30 minutes after our tee time to actually start playing. Never again!!! One star!!!! read more

My family and I just finished golfing here and I was really disappointed with the experience. We're not great golfers by any stretch of the imagination but we were looking for a low-key place. We were rudely told off by the golf police twice, once for cart policies that weren't explained in the pro shop and one because we were going going too slowly. We were going as fast as we could, but again, we're not great golfers and there were four of us. We tried to let other groups behind us to play through but everyone behind us seemed to be going at a pretty similar pace. I have never been treated like this on any other course I've been at. Additionally the course wasn't as great as we'd expected greens wise. Bottom line, if you're a good golfer you might be a better fit here but if you're a beginner choose a different course. read more

I loved this golf course. My buddies and I played here this last weekend. We are new at golf and the pro shop and Marshall where very helpful. We did our best to keep a good pace and no one gave us a hard time. The prices are fair. The course is great. Different challenges at each hole. I enjoyed the up hill challenge on 9 and 18. read more

The course is beautiful, well-maintained, and the green fees are affordable. The front 9 is very long and wide open with few trees, which favors big hitters. The back 9 has some elevation changes and favors accuracy. It's almost like two different courses in one. I've really missed this place since I left the Dallas area and can't wait to go back. Best value $$ for golf in the mid-Valley, IMO. read more

I haven't played here since they added the second nine, so this review is based upon the original 9. I've played here maybe 5 times, and usually have a good time. There are no trees, thus no shade, so it can get warm in the summer. It's a newer course, thus not too mature yet. It sits right next to HWY 22, so it can be noisy on 3 holes. Fairly easy to walk, as the only two holes next to the clubhouse sit on a hill. The quality of the course is OK, and the layout simple. Cheaper place to play...so worth the trip from the Salem-area. read more

This is a great course. Unfortunately there are some want to be PGA tour champions out here. I paid 150$ for myself and two employees to golf here and was rudely yelled at for rate of play. I've played much nicer and more expensive courses with zero issues. Not sure I'll be back. Would rather pay more to not be hassled by want to be tour pros. The course it's self if great. read more
