It was tough to decide what two pairs I wanted to buy. It took a while but I finally picked two perfectly fitting and good looking pairs of shoes. To make them slip-on, the backs of the shoes has hard plastic in them to make them easy to put on. Kind of like a built in shoe horn. These are not just old fashioned loafers. Even though you don't have to tie them, many styles have laces, mostly for looks. I recommend stopping in to try on a pair.

On-line (Amazon or Discount dance) is ok for accessories and if you are sure of the fit of your clothing/ dance tights and leotards. For shoes specifically we don't think it wise to Internet order. Going into her 11th year of formal dance classes, my teen daughter was excited to get her first pointe ballet slippers. A true ballerina! She was a bitty 4 year old baby ballerina when she started. We shopped at Baileys earlier this week. The young lady who waited on us was helpful. She brought out several pairs of pointe ballet shoes (the kind that allows the ballerina to stand on her toes - ouch) for my daughter to try. Each one fit a bit differently. I hope my daughter will enjoy her new pointe shoes and find them comfortable. The shoes, plus inserts and ribbons all came to $143 approximately. Not cheap. Dance, like any sport, has related expenses.

When I asked the fellow who was waiting on us, he showed us tights, fitted her for slippers, and said she needed toe separators and toe pads. The tights ($11 each) had runs in the the first time she wore them. The toe separators weren't necessary for a first time dancer. The slippers were too small And the toe pads ($28) weren't necessary. My total bill was over $100. When I attempted to return the toe pads (unused and in original package) the owner refused, stating it was beyond their return policy deadline. There was absolutely NO consideration, in spite of the other problems stated above. I will never set foot in this shop. Because of their location, they probably cater to the rich, and $28 probably doesn't mean anything to them. BEWARE OF THEIR RETURN POLICY ... YOU WON'T WIN!

Niagara Sports Awards is the place to go for sports awards in Western NY. My son wanted to…read morepurchase two awards that needed to be designed from scratch for the coaches of one of his Niagara Wheatfield High School teams. Barb Sefried, the owner, and her crew were all very helpful and patient with the many questions from both my son and me. Several of the Niagara Sports Awards staff took a lot of time over several meetings and phone calls to look through numerous awards to decide which ones would work best. They actually helped us to piece together two trophies to make them into one awesome award. They also worked with us to determine what was going to be said on the awards and how the wording would be best presented. We ended up, per their recommendations, with two trophies that represented exactly what my son was seeking to achieve. Each award was unique in and of itself. However, each was also unique as to each of the coaches to whom they were given. The recipients were thrilled with their respective awards in both their message and appearance. Bonus; the trophies were very reasonably priced even after all that work. Extra bonus, you will never meet a friendlier, kinder, more energetic person than Barb. All of the Niagara Sports Awards associates were very nice people and knew their business very well. Still, Barb Sefried is the type of person you want to do business with because she makes it fun. At least she did for us.
