So, I ordered some aprons & perused embroidery shops in the area. I called a few places & kept coming up short, because it was such a small order I was asking for. Most embroidery shops only do 12+, bulk buys, so I wasn't expecting anyone to be able to execute what I was asking for. Until I called Stitch Witchery. They got me in that day, gave sound expertise on what would look best color/print-wise on my gift (I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff), & treated me as well as they would've any other customer, no matter how small my order was. Kevin & Darlene have been at this business for about 40 years, and it shows. They handle their business with tact, professionalism, & a down-to-earth feel. It was a pleasure to meet them & have them in my corner in creating this gift. My friends are going to love these! Now, I need to find some more items to get embroidered just so I can have an excuse to pop into Stitch Witchery again.

The price included every single piece with alterations, which was great! We chose to pay extra for zubaz lining inside the coats. I did not like that they have a kinda limited color selection. We were looking for tan/brown/beige and I think there was only like 5 shades to choose from. We finally found one we both loved and when the groomsman all went in to get fitted initially, they did try to convince my husband to pick a different suit! Eventually they called us again and said the manufacturer wasn't making the suits we wanted anymore, how convenient. We picked out new suits and they got ordered however, when they came in and nobody called to tell us so we never knew to go in to try them on for additional tailoring- we had to call them. When we went in to try them on it was about 1-2 weeks before the wedding. The inside lining we ordered extra was not sewn in yet and there were still final alterations that needing to be made with some of the arm and leg cuffs. They said come back and pick them up the week of the wedding. We went back again maybe 3 days before and still needed more alterations. The whole thing was just cutting it super close to the wedding and the amount of issues with the alterations and another one with our ring bearers suit was just so much added stress that probably could have been avoided. I would like to add though, they tailor everything, not just suits.

And that is Vania and David to a T. The first time I went in, my friend and I declared that we were "just window shopping" and we had no intention of buying anything. We had actually been in the store next door (which we wandered into after seeing their sign from Ashker's...spoiler alert where we had spent the afternoon lounging....but I digress....) Anyway, so we had no idea that Vania and David was there until David invited us in to check out the store. And I'm so glad he did. We had a blast wandering around, asking questions, checking out the leather goods and jewelry that Vania designs herself and much of which she makes in house. They've had a bunch of movie appearances so it was fun to see items from the store in the movie screenshots. I love people who put Buffalo on the map! Of course the window shoppers couldn't help themselves and we each bought something - my friend some beautiful citrine earrings and me a bracelet, which Vania customized for me while we chatted. Most recently I went in to buy birthday presents for two very special people. I told Vania what I was looking for and what my budget was and she was so sweet about helping me find the perfect gifts for both of my friends. And when my friends opened the gifts they were beside themselves in love. This is definitely not an inexpensive store. It's the kind of place that you go when you want something nice. They picked out three shirts OUT OF TWO DIAPER SIZE BOXES INCLUDES 4 PAIRS OF SHOES and gave us $10. I promise you there was a couple pairs of clothes in the boxes that were never worn before! Also more than half of those clothes were not stained or torn etc. Clearly the staff told us to kick rocks and didn't actually want to do their job. I had shopped half of the store when I needed to use the restroom. I asked to use theirs but was told no. I asked again as it was an emergency, and was told I had to go up the street. I spent 1000s of dollars in your store and was told again to go up the street. (I'm almost 80 years old). My friend who also shops there frequently had a similar experience with rude staff and has decided to not shop there anymore. Emma was the staff member I consulted with. I'm disappointed and sad to report I won't be back.
