During the sign up process, I noticed the gym was extremely hot, crowded, and smelled bad. I told them that I was not interested in a membership and they still enrolled me. Then, I asked for a refund and not only did they refuse, but they threatened to charge me $150 extra for a "cancellation fee." I had to change my account number, get a new debit card, AND dispute the transaction! They are fraudsters and engage in terrible business practices & treat potential clients horribly.

I've tried warehouse gyms, big box gyms, powerlifting gyms, bodybuilding gyms, you name it. This gym is great for a lot of reasons and could also be improved in a few ways. It's not my regular gym- I drop in a few times a year and pay for the week pass. I've never had an issue doing this or being charged extra from the week pass. Cons: locker rooms need better upkeep, STRONG turf smell, music too loud occasionally (like so loud I can't hear my own music in my earbuds), staff is hard to track down, some rude staff (literally just 1 girl but the rest of the staff has been nothing but super friendly and nice so I'm willing to write it off as a bad day for her). Pros: lighting is awesome, black walls and murals are awesome, they have posing rooms if you're into bodybuilding, TONS of free weights, powerlifting plates, cable towers, squat racks, benches, and varying machines. Extra equipment (like mats, med balls, kbs, etc.) are lacking, but they have enough to do what you need to do. Great gym if you're into powerlifting or bodybuilding especially. They have a supplement store and you can get snacks, shakes, drinks, etc. Prices are also really good; you could easily spend the same amount on a commercial gym that has 2 squat racks and 200 treadmills. The community there is SO nice as well. The biggest pro is that they're not insanely busy like most gyms I've gone to. I can always find a squat rack or cable tower and have never had to wait. In short, it's a gym worth trying. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but it's definitely one of the better gyms I've been to and I'll be coming back every year when I'm in town. P.S. For what it's worth, I've tried most of the gyms in SA and I prefer M.O. by a mile.

The layout is horrible. This place is always packed so be prepared to wait for everything. At least 6 machines are broken and they've had out of service signs on them for too long. Two cable machines and like 3-4 machines. It's wild. But if you know gym equipment you know why... they for whatever reason decided to be the only LA in town that uses the absolute worst cost cutting machines: Star Trac. If you want private restrooms guess what? Oh yeah the two in the back of the building are locked always with service signs on them as well. I can't make this up. The GMs days are definitely numbered because this type of unkept will lead to him getting let go. You hate to hear it but this is the honest truth. Don't bother with this location unless you don't want to workout or if you want to just ruin your mood for the day.

I was a member here for approximately 2.5 years and rarely write reviews, but I feel my experience…read moredeserves to be shared. The primary reason I stayed as long as I did was because the gym is usually quiet and uncrowded. Over time, however, I noticed increasing maintenance concerns, including equipment that remained out of service for extended periods, recurring air conditioning issues, and overall facility upkeep that seemed to receive less attention than it should. What ultimately prompted this review, however, was my experience with management. After 2.5 years as a paying member, I received a voicemail from the front desk staff informing me that my membership was being canceled because the facility was "not the best fit" for my needs and expectations. While I appreciate being notified of the decision, the explanation itself raised more questions than it answered. There had been no prior conversations with me about concerns, expectations, or issues that would have suggested my membership was at risk. Wanting to better understand the decision, I made multiple attempts to contact management, including phone calls and a direct message. None received a response. The issue was never the decision itself. The issue was the lack of transparency and communication surrounding that decision. After more than two years as a customer, I expected the courtesy of a conversation rather than a vague explanation and a one-sided notification. Customers should feel comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and providing feedback about the services they pay for. Constructive feedback is how businesses improve. When concerns are met with silence rather than dialogue, it creates the impression that feedback is unwelcome rather than valued. No business is perfect. Equipment breaks. Air conditioners fail. Problems happen. What separates a good business from a poor one is how management communicates with customers and addresses concerns. In my experience, this gym fell short in both areas. In the end, PowerMaster Fitness felt less like a customer-focused gym and more like a private clubhouse that happens to sell memberships. If you're looking for a gym where communication, transparency, and customer feedback are valued, you may want to carefully consider your options before committing to a membership here.

Ive been a member of Golds Gym Rogers Ranch since 2022. When i first began going, everything felt…read moreamazing and perfect, until i noticed certain things that are ignored, even to this day. I love the staff and their energy, this has nothing to do with the customer service part id say. -The Womens workout room. This room was actually what made me originally choose this gym, along with the fact that it was a Black Level gym that also had a basketball court and pool, but we'll get to those later. l loved the fact that there was a designated space for me to feel comfortable at all times, but the lack of care and the ignoring that is done to that room, quickly diminished any excitement or comfort that i felt. There is never a fan in the room, nor is there any circulation from air conditioning. They will actually use weights to keep both doors open for that reason, which in my opinion, completely contradicts the point of having a isolated area for womens privacy. I am a 5am-Goer, and without a doubt, every morning the paper towel dispenser along with the sanitizer bottle will be completely empty, which i would say at the same time also contradicts the point of having an isolated area for womens privacy. The leg press machine, ab crunch machine, leg extension machine, AND leg curl machine, are ALL extremely old and consistently are making loud screeching sounds from the wear-and-tear. The staff do not go in there at all to maintain cleanliness. Just this morning, i had to go to the front desk because during my last set of hip thrusts, which includes me having to be on the floor for the duration of that exercise, i noticed there were ANTS all around me. as im on the ground, all my belongings were on the ground, everything. i immediately got up and realized someone even wrote on the mirror "Ants on floor." I immediately went to the front desk about the ants, where he said hes never even been in that room before, and ended my workout right after. i had to go home, leave my bag outside, and immediately shower because the thought of ants being all over me and my things havent left my head since then. -Morning Towels. Every single morning i go to the gym, i ask for a small towel as i check in, because i like to have something to put over the seats on machines as most people do not wipe after use. Well, this is what i TRY to do, except usually they will tell me they dont have any because they're washing everything from the night before. This is pretty irritating, as a simple fix from im assuming night staff, could solves this easily.. which makes it minuscule. But pretty irritating it still occurs. -Basketball/Pickle ball Court Change. When i signed up for this gym, i did it along with 4 of my friends, who would all play at least an hour of ball after we worked out. Not only them, but there were always people using the basketball court for not only that, but for cardio, for drills, for working out. They'd play 3's, full teams, everything. it definitely brought most of the energy to the gym id say. On Sundays, they would even put up a Volleyball net for people to play, and without a doubt every single Sunday me and others would all play together. They ended up completely taking out the basketball court, replaced with a pickle ball court? or tennis? i dont even know. but i do know, every time i go workout, there is no one on it. no one able to walk laps around, no one able to just shoot hoops, no they replaced it with a very sport specific court, where its useless UNLESS you have a partner or there is at least one other person on the court, but news flash, theres never anyone just willy-nilly on this pickle ball court. And quite frankly, people arent exactly friendly unless you have your own stuff. -Steam Room. I loveee love love the steam room. With that being said, i use it almost every single day, and i can confidently say, it is not cleaned as often or thoroughly as it should be. I noticed originally in 2024 a piece of chewed up gum that was in the corner against the only window in the steam room. That piece of gum stayed there until mid 2025. And not only that but every morning there is hair covering the floor, the drain, and even the seats, which is another reason yall need those towels fyi. Yall post rules up about no shoes, specific clothes or whatnot, but you also fail to maintain any sense of cleanliness just in that one steam room. I think i would catch about 10 diseases if i walked in barefoot or didnt sit on a towel. Needless to say, this gym is in desperate need of some TLC, because from my experience the only thing they can really rely on right now are the long time members who dont care to switch, or fooling the new people into finding out the problems for themselves. i would really love to see change and be able to have my old friends that once went here to come back finally, but i absolutely dont blame them all for switching. i just wish you'd treat us all who stay, a bit better!
