I appreciate that the coaches are friendly and helpful to correct you when you're doing an exercise wrong and help you to get the most out of each workout. The equipment is all in good condition and cleaned after each exercise; you are expected to clean each area yourself, and they provide towels and disinfecting spray to do so. The meh: It's quite warm inside; I believe if they set the AC to turn on before classes started, that would solve the issue. Some of the coaches are more interactive than others.

First, Rosanna the coach and owner is such an amazing coach that guides you effortlessly to complete the workouts with your current capacity. I am in no way in shape (yet) but I have been able to complete the workouts and get a killer workout each time. Also, you receive motivating emails from Jeff, the other coach and general manager regarding fitness and a healthier lifestyle. Lastly, the weekly schedule is so flexible that will allow anyone to attend despite their current work or life schedule. It's been only four weeks and I already feel stronger and leaner! Was introduced to Certus Crossfit by my brother who was already a member. I was initially intimidated by "crossfit" as a whole, but was looking for a new fitness routine. I soon realized that any one no matter your age or fitness level can do crossfit .... I started at 46! Every movement can be tailored to meet you at your fitness level. With the help of the supportive coaches and "good job" fist bumps from the other members, workouts at Certus quickly became something that I looked forward to and have now become part of my daily routine. I've met some really great people who have become friends not only inside of the gym, but outside of the gym as well. The programing is great, the coaches are knowledgeable and helpful. Equipment is in good shape and is repaired or replaced when necessary. Air conditioning in the hot summer months and nice locker rooms with showers.

She fell in love with this gym and the great people there and has been attending ever since. I have taken a few classes and attended their special events. When she started leading a KB/TRX workout on Monday nights in November I have begun attending weekly or twice weekly. This is really a nice gym, clean, organized and everyone is friendly. The classes are not crowded and you receive individulized instruction and positive encouragement during each class. They offer more than just KB and TRX and host lots of great events. And that is due to the hard work of the owner, Jon, who fostered a community of love, acceptance, hard work, and laughter. This attracted a group of wonderful people who I'm proud to call friends. They helped me move on from water polo and swim and learn how to work out for me. I lost 25lbs in one year and got back to feeling like myself - well actually a more confident version of myself. I moved to Bakersfield for work and every gym I try here just reminds me how special Iron Buffalo is. When I started with them I felt so welcomed. In other gyms (Fresno, Clovis, Bakersfield, etc) I've had to go out of my way to figure things out and get to know people. But I loved how at Iron Buffalo the coaches and members go out of their way to make the new person feel welcome. They asked me questions and helped me when I was lost. I remember in the beginning I struggled to make it to one class a week, but what started to motivate me was the conversations and laughter I would have with everyone. That's what got me going more and more. They have created something truly beautiful. I hope that one day my path will lead me back to Fresno, but if not I'll definitely be dropping in when I can.
