Gyms finally opened up in September and when i go back he says we only have a month left!! He told me basically its to bad and best he can do is give me an extra month (1 outta 6). Basically robbing us of our membership! I hope anyone reading wont support this P.O.S or his gym!! Sad part is im probably not the only one. Gym is not sanitary at all no one there cleaning and wiping things down to help prevent the spread of covid!

Powerhouse Fenton was far & away the best of any gym I visited. Fantastic selection of equipment, 2 or 3 (minimum) of every set-up or device -- even 2 hack squats. Serious clientele, everybody re-racks their weights, excellent uncrowded layout, friendly management. Can't recommend highly enough. N.B., this is NOT a "fitness center", it's a serious (but friendly) gym for weightlifting & bodybuilding. Also probably not a good place to discuss politics.

You take your shoes off when you go in - you can either be barefoot or wear socks. Once you sign up you get a pair of gloves - but if you want the better quality ones they mark them up an extra $12. You also get a wrap for your hand - again if you sign up. If you're trying it out for your first time like me, they stick you with a pair of reallly smelly used gloves, and no wrap. I mean the smell was so bad I could barely slip my hand back into them after I took them off for the first time. Also, no hand sanitizer in the whole place - the entire drive home all I could smell was this nasty BO from my hands I couldn't wait to go home and wash them. The instructor was really nice and helpful. The workout seemed pretty good to me, I'm sore today. Mostly just hitting the bag, doing partner work with these things one person holds up for you to hit, and you hit them then switch. Jumping jacks, squats, burpees, and more were in between hits for cardio, which I enjoyed. Not gonna lie I'm pretty intimidated by the ring and I'm glad we didn't use it. The instructor did say though that every workout they do is different. For a couple to sign up together it's $90 a month which I think is to high for what's there. But on the other hand they do offer yoga which I really miss. You're allowed 24 hour access but I really wouldn't know what to do there without an instructor telling me. If you're into boxing or kick boxing then this is the place for you - if you're just looking to find a good workout routine I think you may find something better for the price.

Then layer on a gym where you can do around 60-80% of what you can do in any other gym (with some mods) and the value is definitely there. Shortly after activating my membership, I broke my elbow…read more Staff here told me I could pause my membership whenever I wanted, so I requested to pause it until I healed. They did not pause my membership, they continued to charge me. I then requested they cancel my membership because of this, which they agreed to do. Today, I find on my credit report that I have a $440 collections account from this Anytime Fitness location. The staff here are absolutely atrocious. Don't go here unless you feel like being lied to, robbed, and screwed on your credit.
