I absolutely love this gym and the coaches. Been going here for the last 3-4 months. I was lucky enough to be introduced to the place when I was in a 28 day rehab for alcohol (yes, you read that right) this past May 2019. The treatment facility I was housed at took us to the gym 3 days a week, and I can't begin to tell you how excited I was the first day our alcoholic/drug addict group went to Industrious. If anyone needs exercise it is definitely someone who has been high or drunk most of the last few years of their life! When I found out it was a CrossFit gym I was beyond stoked. Pullup bars, chalk, a big open floor, gymnastics rings (haven't touched them in years), barbells, those damn assault bikes (I hate those things, ha!)... I was so happy! I'll never forget the first couple times I went in there with my treatment group, I got to meet the owner, Stephen, and some of their coaches: Austin, Crissy (best smile ever), Erik, Kaybree, and Faith. They are just the nicest people around. And guess what? They are super athletic, no joke. Just watch them workout during open gym. They definitely walk the walk, they don't blow smoke up your ass, and I love that. They are nothing short of amazing humans. My exercise background should be mentioned: I have been a member at 24 Hr Fitness (and other commercial gyms) for years (which by the way, they've installed pullup/squat rigs & lifting platforms and using olympic barbell plates... trying to copy the CF formula..?? Hmm), and mostly did calisthenics exercises with some barbell squats and deadlifts thrown in for fun. I have always enjoyed exercise, it made me feel good. I never ever thought of going to the gym as a burden (unless I was hungover), it was the highlight of my day. I did some CF a few years back, super inconsistently... like 1 time a month??? Does that even count?? I had some idea of what CF was like, but forgot how much work it takes to actually be good at it. I've gotten so damn lazy over the last few years, I needed someone to kick my ass and this was just the ticket. For a more seasoned CrossFitter, I bet you'll like this gym too. They also make sure you don't so something stupid and injure yourself! They are very much in tune with every athlete's limitations (anatomical, injury, etc.). Austin & Kaybree in particular have been helping me figure out barbell skills for the last couple months. They have been so patient and helpful. I'm learning something every day, even if it means I'm not adding weight to the bar. I got to meet Erik and Faith a few times when I was in treatment and I told them how I wanted to learn to handstand walk. They were immediately helpful and demonstrated (show offs!) their mad skills. So cool. How many other gyms do you have your coaches walking on their hands like it's no big deal!!??! Anyway, as part of my exit plan from treatment I vowed to sign up ASAP. The next day I went in and did a 6 months paid-in-full (shoulda just did the year). Best thing I have done for myself in years. Let me explain! I came from a very dark time in my life. The last few years I have been battling depression, anxiety, and alcohol abuse. I literally fell apart and lost motivation to do things I used to really enjoy... like EXERCISE! These boys and girls give me something to look forward to, something to improve on, something to share, something to be proud of. And that's feeling healthy and accomplished. Even if I struggle to complete a workout or can't do a movement or lift (believe me, there are TONS of things I have issues with), I still feel like I did something positive and got a little better and learned something that day. We don't become awesome in a day, right? The other thing I want to add is that I used to really dislike group exercise. I'm kind of a loner, really. But this place has completely changed that. I love being around the other athletes and coaches. It is super motivating and there is tons of good energy. And lots to get motivated about!! When you see someone nail a big lift or skill, I think, "shit, I want to do that!!!" I never got that feeling at a commercial gym. Too many people mirin' and flexing their biceps and buttcheeks and taking selfies! Ha! I'll close by saying that I am very grateful to have found Industrious. Did a drop in while I was in town visiting the in-laws. The facilities here are fantastic and I come from a box that is OCD clean and man this place I would say one ups them. Arrived 10 minutes early to sign waivers and get a tour and was seriously impressed by the staff and facilities. Everyone was friendly and welcoming had a fantastic work out, very impressed with the coach leading the WOD lots of information given but didn't hamper the rhythm of the class, I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town. read more

The CrossFit Kids is a game changer for our son on the spectrum. The coaches are so patient and encouraging. The kids are learning the correct form and having a blast. I was in Seattle the past week visiting my fiance, and needed to find a gym that I can do powerlifting at. I went to another gym at first and they didn't let me in because I wasn't a member- they mentioned that crossfit industrious might let me lift. I walked in and met Jeremy who was very welcoming! He showed me around the gym and mentioned the open gym hours vs classes. I wish I had time during my trip to attend the group classes- and I've never even considered crossfit before! I have been powerlifting for 5 years and found most everything I needed at this gym. Really liked the environment, and sooo thankful I could keep up with my training while visiting Seattle. Before my experience with Crossfit Industrious I was mindlessly working out at the local globo gym or doing some cross training program prescribed by a mens magazine. This place has seriously changed my life. I am a serial workout addict, to the point that I've taught group fitness for over a decade. Sadly, over the past five years, flares of MS have slowed me down, and reduced my strength as well as my feelings of fitness self-worth. A few months ago, I finally decided to try out CF, to see if it would kick my ailing body into gear. I made the decision to try Industrious because 1) it is relatively close to me and 2) I'd heard such great things... which are ALL true. Even on the days that my draggy left side feels a little awkward, I look forward to my time at CFI. Every single coach I've worked with knows how to push me *just enough*. Sometimes I *am* the last to finish on my "bad" days, but it doesn't matter... the coaches and the other members cheer for everyone, no matter what you're lifting, no matter how you modify. This gym is life-changing in so many ways and unlike any other gym I've been to (CF and reg). ALL of the coaches give the utmost attention to detail to everything they do...from an upbeat greeting the moment you walk in the door, to a detailed breakdown of the workout with modifications for anyone who's new, to the clean floors and facilities...they're complete professionals and love what they do. I love this gym. It gave me my first experience in the CF world. After the first day I was hooked. Molly, Stephen, and all the coaches are wonderful and encouraging. They remember your name and make the effort to make you feel welcome. They celebrate your successes and help you through the challenges of the workout. As a marathoner/avid runner, I was interested in cultivating a new athletic skill set and read up heavily on the elements of Crossfit before trying it out - at a different (unnamed) box. My first few experiences there were terrible - I felt displaced, judged and totally alone in trying to learn the Crossfit "moves" with good form. Enter a curiosity in CFI right down the street from my office and an increased desire to get CF-stronger... I emailed with Molly before my first session at Crossfit Industrious, and she was super helpful, letting me know what to expect and when to come in. Immediately upon walking into the box my first day, I was enthusiastically welcomed by not only the owners and (ridiculously buff and constantly smiling!) Molly and Stephen, but by all of the members taking that noon class. Everyone was so helpful and friendly from the start. And then the workouts! The WODs are tough and completely challenge your body and mental limits. You will be sore after. You will be proud of yourself. And you will see changes in your body and fitness level - exactly what you want out of Crossfit. Molly and Stephen have set up a Crossfit box that's encouraging, welcoming and motivating. I have been to my fair share of boxes. Good, bad and ok. This is the best there is people. The coaching is top notch! Steven and Molly are amazing people and have created such a great community here. I love getting my butt kicked when I come because I have so many people cheering me on. When was the last time you went to a gym stopped going for a couple weeks and they reached out to you wondering where you were? Globogym can't touch this amount of personal attention. I'm newer to crossfit but when I travel I still want to keep my workouts up. I chose this location because it was the closest to where I was staying and I'm so glad I did. Super clean facility. The owners and members were extremely friendly. I was able to visit 4 times and each time was great. My trip was cut short but will definitely be seeing them again in November on my next visit. After being afraid to try CrossFit for five years, I finally decided to go. This gym has the most AMAZING staff and the kindest welcoming members. From the longest running member to the newest, the support you receive from people you've never even met cannot be put into words. I felt like I had my own cheering section inspiring me to keep going until I finished. There is never any fear of not knowing what to do because the staff make sure to do a run through of all the moves with the whole class prior to the clock starting. After being invited by multiple coworkers I went to try Crossfit for the first time last November. I had been working with a personal trainer at LA Fitness previously but wasn't seeing results and couldn't afford the cost. Industrious coaches (Jeremy, Molly, Stephen, Piper, Tia...) are friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable. There was no sense of judgement with the coaches or the other crossfitters. Everyone is just happy when you can come and ready to cheer you on. I go to the Basic classes because I enjoy the slower pace and the circuit training. I am stronger than I have ever been and have a sense of accomplishment each time I leave Industrious. If you're looking for a new gym come try it out! read more

I love CFI. I was at a CrossFit in Oregon and I loved everything about it. When I moved up here I tried other Crossfits in the Lynnwood/Edmonds area. The coaching I get at CFI doesn't even compare to the other gyms. If your looking for a great atmosphere to work out in this is your place. Stephen and Molly are the best. Whether its 6:00 AM. or 6:00 PM. Stephen is upbeat, positive, and ready to coach. Molly is just as encouraging and very clear with instructions on making you a better athlete.
