Since then, they have followed him up to his new gym! I swung by a couple of Saturdays ago and did a 30 min workout here with the guys. I didn't know what to expect, especially since I have never been to a crossfit gym before. Our workout that morning was more conditioning exercises and I actually enjoyed it! We did the 9 AM workout with Coach Anna. I struggled with push presses and Joel and Anna were there to walk me through the movements when my form was not correct. Thank you! Cody was sore the following days and could barely lift his arms. I was decently sore as well. Meaning it was a great workout and it was only 30 min! It is a great space, very clean, and the coaches are very enthusiastic for you to be there! I'll definitely go by again when I am around on the weekends more!

What you will find is lots of barbells, dumbbells, chalk, loud music and the occasional scream/grunt while someone breaks a PR. All of the members are very supportive and it's not uncommon to hear cheers and support from onlookers as you push yourself to your limits. The owner is a great guy and a fantastic trainer/coach if you're looking for those services as well. This gym will help you become the strongest possible version of yourself and I can't recommend it enough.

I took this course four months after having a baby, with the weakest muscles I've ever had (EVER!) and was pleasantly surprised by the ease with which I was able to learn the new skills and incorporate said skills into workouts. Another bonus for all you people with kids: a kid zone! There's a little room built into the gym with games/toys for lots of ages. There's also childcare available- I believe it's offered two morning classes per day? But you'll have to double check on that. Anyway, bottom line- this gym is worth checking out. It's probably the least intimidating way to get started in crossfit and a great place to get in shape or just improve your strength/conditioning. Not only are they full of warm, friendly, and down to earth people, but they also provided the best fitness experience in terms of coaching, professionalism, and overall excellence. Not naming names, but other gyms I tried just pointed to the board to indicate the warmup and the coach spent the whole class rolling out vs actually coaching. From the coaching to the programming, from the facility (the gym is ALWAYS clean which is no small feat) to community engagement, and class experience, Mitch, the owner of The Loop, makes it clear that he is committed to constantly improving for the sake of his clients and community. Personal Trainer with every workout at no extra cost!--Yeah, you read that right. It is nice to have someone lay it out for you. I don't have to think of diddly squat, I just show up and say 'what up Boss?", and he puts me to work to get my sweat on. It is good to have someone yell at you to keep on going. That way, it isn't just your own voice in your head motivating you. 2. They keep it fresh by mixing up the workouts--I do the same basic warm up stuff, but the tri-set circuits they have me on, they mix it up the exercise combos. It could be lateral hurdle hops-leaping squat rows and medicine ball figure 8's. or something else. something different everyday. 3. No Contracts and no signup fees-- Well first off they give you a week free, but if you want more after that, you just pay your months fee upfront and that is it. You can also pay by the class if you want, but I just did the month. thing. 4. SWEAT! SWEAT! SWEAT!-- I go in for one hour workouts and they keep me moving the whole time, it is go go go, and my shirt is soaked at the end. And it ain't fake hot yoga sweat, it is you are moving and busting ass sweat. It is 5 min warm-up on treadmill, the 7 or so warm up exercises, and then it is tri set circuit after tri set circuit after tri set circuit until my time is up. I sweated 4 lbs from beginning to end last Thursday! :) I would say if you live in the Everett area and want to join a gym to get in shape, this is the place to go
