Crossfit is a whole body workout, and there are times in which you will be sore after, but its a good sore. Although sometimes the WODs are a bit intimidating, once you do it, there is a sense of pride after. Just to note again, you can scale down the workout, and no one will judge you! The schedule ranges from early morning to late evenings, so there is really no excuses on why you can't exercise :)...think of crossfit as recess. From just the short time I entered crossfit, I noticed that I am becoming slowly stronger, gaining definition near the butt (LOL), and becoming more tone. And I am not becoming bulky (so for the females out there don't be afraid)! Who wouldn't want that?! The last time I was able to achieve that was when I was in my high school tennis team...and doing just the treadmill won't get you these results.. but if crossfit or barbells isn't your cup of tea, then they do offer bootcamp classes; these classes will feature movements similar to those performed in the group classes, but geared towards those preferring longer workouts or people with injuries that may be prohibitive to some exercises. Everyone is nice and really supportive. And I'm looking forward to continuing here at this box! They also have groupon deals and you can come in for a free week/trial period! So don't be shy (read my previous review for how I felt in the beginning before I joined/started crossfit)! I shall be looking forward to seeing you in the box!

I happened to come in on a Saturday and it turned out to be a team WOD, so it was a nice opportunity to meet and work together with the Jaguar regular athletes. This place is the epitome of the word "box". It's a huge warehouse great for WODDING it out. I really liked the setup, there was even a long patch of fake grass for running inside. All the equipment is nice and seemed to be well taken care of. I find it hilarious and amusing that they have these stools in the bathrooms so that you can squat when you're taking a crap. They even had pamphlets explaining why it is more healthy to squat and poo. Will be back again when I am back in Tampa.

I've been visiting family in Lakeland and tried out this gym for my functional based workouts. I…read moredidn't make it to any of their group training classes, so I can't really speak to their trainers or routines. I just made it for open gym time to do my own workouts. While I've never been in a crossfit gym and I've never done it, I've been in a lot of other gyms. This one has a great setup if you're looking for something beyond a traditional gym. Not only do they have many of the functional fitness equipment you'd expect in this type of gym, but they have a good amount and variety of each type. I can be an equipment hog when I'm dialing in my weight for each movement. The people were also super friendly and helpful, and the gym is very clean and spacious. As much as I'm sure people sweat in that place, there wasn't any of the off-putting gym odor. The equipment was in really good shape too. If I had one wish list item that I didn't see there, it would be a sled, but most gyms don't have them anyway. If you're unsure if this is a place for you or if you're from out-of-town and just looking to drop in a couple of times, they have a great deal where you can buy one of their cool tees/tanks and get two visits included with it. Brilliant marketing, because I'll definitely be wearing their billboard around now. And, when I'm back in town and have time for a workout, I'll definitely be back.

I've been a member of CrossFit Lakeland since the beginning. Back about 3 years ago, I sent an…read moreemail to CFL asking if I could drop in and do a workout or two while I was home (I was in the military at the time). They were very kind and absolutely let me come in, hit a WOD, and didn't charge me a dime. Fast forward about a year later and I was now out of the Marine Corps and back in Lakeland, and beginning to be a full time member of CFL. Each and every day, the programming of the workouts were very well made to challenge your fitness, the competitive spirit in the gym helps drive you through even the hardest of workouts, and the community that has formed and blossomed into social events and brought new friendships is irreplaceable. The bottom line is that if you want to look and feel good, you are going to get that here. If you want to compete against others at this "sport of fitness" instead of wasting away for 30 minutes on a treadmill, you are going to get that here. If you want a supportive and active community of people reaching goals just like you want to reach, then you will also get that here.

I've been a member of CrossFit En Fuego for nearly 2 years now and my love for it has only grown!…read more It's more than a gym. It's a community. It's challenging, it's fun, the people are awesome, the coaches are fantastic, and it gets better with each and every workout. When I first started at En Fuego I worked out at 9am. The 9am class was "my class." Those were "my people." Recenly I returned to work full-time and had to change my class time. I started going at 5:15am. Yes, in the morning. And I'm so happy that the feeling I had with the 9am class has crossed over to the 5:15am class. I was welcomed with open arms, warm smiles and even a cup of coffee. I thought rolling out of bed at 4:30am was going to be so hard. But knowing that I am getting out of bed to go workout with the best people in town makes getting up not so hard. In the 7 weeks I've been working out before the sun rises, I have NEVER hit the snooze button. NOT ONCE. Give them a try. You won't be sorry you did.

I started out with the 6 week challenge and I was a little nervous since I stopped being active for a few years and really gained a lot of weight. I've always played sports and done HIIT training but nothing compared to CF. I came in with an open mind and really took it all in. Sebastian and Tommy really took their time teaching us the foundations of CF throughout the 6 weeks and starting off our workouts with a PVC pipe. They make sure that you understand the movements fully before you move onto weights. I've finished my 6 weeks and have been in regular classes for a little over a month. This box is truly a family. Everyone welcomes you with open arms and genuinely cares about you. All the coaches are super knowledgeable and really take their time studying your movements and making corrections if needed or adjusting the workout to your needs. My favorite thing about this box is that they focus on fundamentals and teach all athletes to listen to their bodies. It's not about who can finish the WOD first or lift the most weight. Everyone is humble and there are all walks of life that come thru the doors. I'm getting stronger everyday with the help of the coaches teaching and pushing me and with the encouragement from the fellow athletes. I haven't been to this gym in a little while, but I really loved it when I went. I saw some…read moreincredible results after just 1 month of consistently attending classes, which was much needed after months of not working out. They've since updated their equipment and their flooring, which is awesome. At the time that I attended, there was no open gym, which I know lots of people need to fit in a workout during the day. There's also no showers, so you can't wash after working out and head to work. But the owners are super sweet and down to earth, and so are the trainers. There's definitely a solid community there of people who encourage each other constantly. But it's not competitive, which makes it welcoming for newcomers like myself. I have a neck injury, and they worked with me to help me build strength without hurting myself. If you're looking for a CrossFit gym that isn't just full of people who are incredibly fit and intimidating, this gym is perfect. There are some people there who are super athletic and can life really heavy, but there's also a mixture of young and older people at all levels of fitness. You'll fit in no matter how much experience you have with the gym.

Josh called me back ASAP and made sure I was good to go, set me up with a great drop-in rate and introduced me to staff and members. The team there is very knowledgeable, patient and focused on the quality of movements. The facility has everything you need and the people are just great. I wasn't going to do the Open this year due to travel and whatnot, but Josh and his team invited me to come do it with their squad and I couldn't have had a better experience.
