What am I doing here at 10 on a beautiful Saturday morning? My first Studio Red class - Intro to…read moreStudio Red. Fitness level (and I believe Basic) members get three free classes a month. After talking with Tonya, one of the Studio Red Coaches, I gathered my courage and girded my big boy pants to give it a try. I wasn't feeling 100% when I came in (up late, dogs up early wanting to play on me), but when the 50 minutes were up, my body was tired in a good way, and my brain was ready for more. Tonya showed how to perform the exercises and gave modifications, and kept the class going, spending time with each of us. The three free classes a month seems to be a little used benefit that I will be taking advantage of more often.

They offer some great amenities. However, I've only been a member for 3 weeks. In that time, the movie room has been down for a week. The massage chairs, they only have 8 for the entire facility. One has been down since before I started and another went down today. Now there are only 6 for everyone to share. The pool is a great amenity but they only offer one evening water aerobics class. For working individuals, the morning classes aren't an option. So, all that being said, I am enjoying my membership. There are a lot of cardio machines so usually no wait if you want to do that. A basketball court, intense workout classes, free weights, personal trainers, and much more. It is worth the costs.

Innovative and effective workout!…read more Orangetheory is not your ordinary gym. Using minimal machinery (treadmill, rowing machine, and a weight floor) you go through a self monitored series of workouts through the instructing of a coach who manages all three groups at a time. I went to the last class on Friday, power focused. My coach was Abby and she was incredibly knowledgeable while motivating everyone to do their personal best. I was first pretty intimidated by the intensity of the workouts and especially since they're all done in groups, but the unique idea of being able to watch exactly what your workout is doing to your body in real time is just awesome. There's a central monitor that updates your progress based on a monitor you wear during the workout. This intimidated me at first, but the atmosphere was so incredibly positive and welcoming and honestly everyone is so focused on their personal progress to judge yours. The entire team (Abby, Megan, and Ellie) did their best to encourage you to do whatever YOU can and to not compare yourself to the next person which was so relaxing. The facility was very well kept and my only critique is that the workout space in between the rowing and treadmill is a bit small, making it a little difficult to do the exercises there, but a quick step to the side fixes that easily. All in all I love this place and am so happy to start my membership!

This place is great, small private gym with personal trainers. While I agree this gym is not for…read moreeveryone, I love it. Great instruction for the level I am at right now. This gym has regular people, high level high school kids, college kids playing sports or mature adults that can afford personal trainers, this is not the typical meat-head jacked up jerks walking around flexing in the mirrors. If you are looking for the cheapest, flavor of the month gym this is not your place (a new one just opened up). If you want personal help achieving your goals, great option. If you want to work out by yourself, it is almost a private gym where you have access to everything all the time. Brian has been great for the 9 months I have been here. Personal trainer has exceeded expectations. I could not recommend a better place, they will schedule a free initial session and there is no high pressure sales pitch when I joined.

Your post indicates you know nothing of each individuals life style, their training habits or what their goals are. You're insulting those who have benifitted from the trainers expertise and help. People lives have been saved by the people you have insulted in your uninformed rating. Have you even trained with any of the trainers who represent Absolute? I think not.
