Years ago, I broke my wrist really badly, and they did my surgery, and then all the therapy I…read moreneeded to be able to use it as before. They took excellent care of me, and I have had no issues with it since the accident. I recently had them check out my artificial hip, which, after many years, has started popping out of joint. I originally had the hip done at Augusta Medical College, but it now needs a revision. Dr. Holtzclaw examined me and is a good man to deal with. I am now waiting on clearances from other physicians to have it fixed. The front office personnel treat you like family. If I could give 7 stars, I would!

I had a generally positive experience with the medical side of Chatham Orthopedics. The doctors and…read morenurses I interacted with were professional, respectful, and provided good care overall. That said, my experience with the billing and payment process was extremely frustrating. Before surgery, while I was injured, vulnerable, and had not even had time to collect a paycheck, I received multiple separate payment demands. The surgery center told me I needed to pay about $2,000 up front and indicated that was the only up-front payment I would be responsible for. Then the physician's office contacted me requesting another $1,500 and also represented that as the only payment I needed to make. After that, the anesthesiologist contacted me requesting roughly another $1,000 before surgery. It felt relentless and deeply stressful at a time when I was already dealing with a serious injury and preparing for surgery. I ultimately paid the surgery center, but the whole process became even more frustrating because my insurance out-of-pocket maximum is $3,500. Because of the way these charges were handled, my insurance has been slow to catch up, and I have had to keep paying money out of pocket even though I should be at or near the point where my insurance covers 100%. I understand that medical billing is complicated, but the way this was handled felt disorganized and unnecessarily aggressive. The care itself was good, and I respect the nurses and doctors, but the financial experience left a very bad impression.

I'm a big believer in chiropractors for a variety of sustainable and logical reasons. Having said…read morethat, it's hard to find really good chiropractors in Savannah. FInding a chiropractor trained in coupled reduction techniques is impossible in this area. To be fair, chiropractors using coupled reduction techniques are a rare breed certified by the american chiropractic neurological board. See http://www.acnb.org/. Chiropractic neurology is a three year post graduate program that focuses on functional rehabilitation of a multitude of neurological disorders. The underlying premise of the discipline is that the brain is at the root of all bodily functions and therefore, well being. Practitioners can address Learning Disablities to Multiple Sclerosis to Fibromyalgia. There is a rigorous board examination, which limits the total number certified practitioners to less than 800 worldwide. We're just not lucky enough to have a active practitioner in the Savannah area. This chiropractor focuses on using an "active release" technique. This is a common approach among sports medicine practitioners but not good enough for all patients, just as all approaches are not good enough for all patients. From my perspective, active release is more about deep muscle therapy penetration of sensitive areas stemming from malalignments using elbows and fingers for massage therapy. The practitioners hands on adjustment skills are lacking. The doctor has a terrific "client side manner" and is easy to deal with. He wants to please his clients.

My mom just had major elbow pain that was bothering her for many months. Todd solved it in two sessions. Her comments: "my arm is fabulous... Too bad I couldn't have gotten to him earlier... His Hands are magic... Really makes a difference in my life, not having that continual ache and weakness in my shoulder... May not need any treatment in California." Thanks so much!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
