Onwards to the baked goods stand for buttery croissants, chocolate croissants and a black and white cookie for my son. The seafood cart warranted a return visit for wild caught salmon and tuna (delicious seared). Final stops for Mongolian beef momo with scrumptious sauces - be sure to try the green ginger and garlic sauce. The empanada stall has almost too many options making it hard to pick just six. I settled on Buffalo chicken, Mac n cheese, and black bean. Last stop was the pickle man for sour garlic dill and pickled banana pepper rings. The vendors were all friendly and helpful. I must say, though that there has been one disappointment lately. They used to carry a brand of cannoli cookies made by Maria's Taralli. For reasons unknown to me they stopped carrying them and now carry a different kind of cannoli cookie, which does not measure up. Please bring back Maria's cannoli cookies. They are the best. I had to find another store that carried them, and I will include pictures of the most delicious cannoli cookies.

The store wasn't as packed as I imagined, but everyone's carts were full as I'm on line for one silly little onion. There was a variety of assorted vegetables and fruits. U-pick berries, 10$ a qt. Gold raspberries, blackberries, raspberries. I think I missed blueberry season. The employees were truly one of the best parts however, as everyone was super friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable, and, it was a great time to be had. There were you pick berries, seating areas with shade, a cafe with a Farmstand and a playground for young kids. The vibe was a toddler mom's dream to come here and not need to go all the way out east. The staff were so incredibly nice and friendly. The you pick area was perfect because it wasn't miles long but plenty to choose from. There was a washing station to wash and eat your fruit. I also highly recommend their lemonades. This is now my go to spot for you pick and a nice farm experience.

Laurel's Butter - Handcrafted Nut Butters- this nut butter is out of this world good and comes in cute snack packaging! And I just recently discovered the vanilla hazelnut iced coffee from Perk-Up Coffee Xpress & the best Italian rice balls + stuffed breads from Pan Delicious. Not to mention, everyone is so friendly here, a lil pricey but all these hidden gems in one place is what I look forward to going to on Wednesdays :)

That's not to say there was a lack of typical goods one would expect to encounter. Dropping $80.00 in just a few moments was all too easy as the raw goat cheese appropriatly named RAWSTRUCK by Coach Farms located Pine Plains, NY. Aged a mere 60 days, once the taste of the grass fed milk touched my palate, it was all I could do to now buy everything in sight. Arlotta Food Studio from California sold oils & vinegars that tasted superior to many I have purchased prior. Costing $25. & $20 each the phrase "you get what you pay for" certainly comes into play. Mums and other seasonal flowers are well priced, the pickles didn't really do for me however I found the Italian breads to be the diamond in the rough of all the vendors. Take all of these food and flower choices, combined with great live music, Searfod Farmers Market is a must visit.

There is effort in progress to see if it can be rescheduled for October 8, 2022. If not then perhaps another day or incorporated for another future event. The farm itself is a nice place to visit. the Cornell Cooperative Extension is there various hours - check their web site for help with plant, pest, soil and general learning about gardening. A worthy place to check out and visit.

I learned a lot about the services that are available from Cornell Cooperative, including soil testing and resources for gardening based on current research and best practices ( just like nursing!) . I spent some time with one of the vegetable experts, learning about heirloom tomatoes. Our conversation rewarded me with a fresh off the vine purple Cherokee and 2 freshly pulled organic beets to add to those I had already purchased. Children were allowed in the veggie garden to pick a bag of crops. There is also an Airstream on property that serves farm to table panninis and salads. Proprieter Rudy asked for the privilege of placing her business on YELP, but you can see her menu and beautiful smile in my farm pictures.

There were a few vendors, Meet and photos with Santa (indoors) and hayrides for a fee. The farm store was open - merchandise available ( good for gifts ) and we got some hot cocoas there. Just loved the atmosphere. Good for families, esp with young children bec has just enough to do to keep everybody entertained. And it felt like I was far from NYC, when I was not even a 1/2 hr from home. No admission fee for this event. Found free street parking nearby.
