I had my wedding rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour and reception at Crow River Winery in June 2026. Let me just say, they are wonderful! We catered through the winery for the rehearsal dinner and they knocked it out of the park! We had wonderful pizza, salad, and a variety of desserts. Guests raved about the food! Also, their wine and cider was also a hit - as expected! Now moving to my wedding. Overall, WONDERFUL experience. To start, the winery is reasonably priced. The staff is wonderful - shoutout to Jillian, Alexis and our bartender - they took care of all setup and tear down. They were flexible with table arrangements and allow you to truly make the day your own. There is a great, spacious room for the bridal party to get ready upstairs as well! Our guests continue to comment on how lovely the outdoor space and indoor space is at Crow River Winery. There was ample space for our guests to relax inside or outside and space for the kiddos to run around and get some energy out. I have no complaints or suggestions for improvements. Our day was absolutely stress free and perfect. I would choose Crow River Winery over and over as a wedding venue - as well as a great place to stop by for a nice evening on the patio with great wine, cider, or beer AND food. Nice winery with cider and tap beer. The wine slushies were good. We had dinner on the patio which is very comfortable and quiet. You have to order from your phone and it is brought out to you. That caused a problem with us as one item didn't show up and it was a while before we got it. I enjoyed the steak medallions. We also had a steak wrap and a pizza. Had a recent great experience here, a couple days before Christmas. Plenty of seating was available and service was really friendly, making us feel at home right away. There are tons of options for wine, so plenty of opportunity for everyone to find something they like. There were four of us there and we shared two flights- the sweet and the red. The Briana, Sweet Sienna, and Marquette were our favorites. We ordered a few pizza's as well and the seasonal bloody mary pizza was a hit, the banana peppers added a great vinegary punch. The space itself was cozy and all dolled up for Christmas. We took a look around the place before leaving and there is also lots of great event and wedding space, the upstairs area for getting ready had tons of space and the outside courtyard looked great as well. read more

Of course it was super busy on Mother's Day. After sitting outside at a picnic table, we waited over 2 hours for our food, we canceled our order and left. We asked numerous waiters about our order all we got was " we are slammed" even going straight to the manager she said 10 minute's.She said 10 minute's, 20 minute's later we left. Piss poor service. Came in to have two glasses of wine. Took 10 minutes to get wine and we never did get a bill. Left enough cash on the table and left. Oh and the wine is just ok. Mind you there were 10 people in staff and a whopping 6 customers read more

The winery has a few different flight options (no substitutions). My favorites from the sweet wine flight was the chickadee and apiary. The bread was served nice and warm and was delicious! Our server Taya was great! She helped us with some of our shopping needs as well! They have a bunch of different items from themed "merch" to red wine stain cleaner. Needless to say I walked out of their with several bottles of wine, some apparel, candles and more!! read more

I came here for dinner and drinks with friends last week and we had good time. The drinks were good and of course came from the winery. They had sample trays you could buy. The food itself was alright nothing special. The service was decent. I probably won't come back as other winery's I have been to in the past have way better food in my opinion. read more

Having lived in Northern California for more than 40 years, we were not expecting much from a little winery in my hometown of Hutchinson, Minnesota. Were we in for a pleasant surprise! The wines were very good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious! Difinitly a "must stop" wineries in Minnesota. They have a new winemaker and he is producing some marvelous wines. They don't have vintages because of some strange laws but anything from 2019 is great. The Honey Apple Crisp is a wonderful balance of sweet and tart. The Marquette rivals any medium red out of California. The Apiary is just a nice "sit on the patio and drink wine." Don't let the strong honey in the nose and first sip distract you, it mellows with a little air to a nice balance with the bold Frontenac. They have many very nice wines. read more

Today was my first visit and I had a fantastic experience! The Crow River Winery was well worth the drive from the Twin Cities today. Four of us had a wine tasting. It was the first for my wife and I. Wow, we really enjoyed ourselves! 1) I was amazed by the variety of wines. This is the perfect way to decide what you like before you commit to any purchases, especially for a novice like me. 2) The food was very good. We had the cheese and bread plate. It wasn't your average cheese plate--it was great. 3) The customer service was amazing. The servers were totally on top of their game and importantly, very knowledgeable. 4) The facility is beautiful and the ambiance is nice. There happened to be live music when we were there today. I've been working with an amazing event coordinator by the name of Julie for approximately the last four months in planning my event later this year. Unfortunately I came to find out in the last week that she is no longer a part of Crow River winery. I am very saddened to hear this as I put my confidence in her in executing my wedding ceremony the way that I wish it would have been. I no longer have that confidence in Crow River winery that I once had but am locked into a future date that I have deposited on sadly. We had the chance to use our Wine Passport and enjoy 2 wine flights for the price of one. We enjoyed all of the samples we tried and then bought several bottles to go. We even had a pizza from the kitchen that tasted great. Hutchinson is a little drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul but the drive was easy and the winery was well worth the trip. read more

Nice tour, nice grounds, friendly but slow staff. Outside packaging and branding is on point. The caveat is the wine tasting, don't expect a Napa style experience, the pours are small, you only get one glass, some of the varieties leave a little to be desired, you have to rinse your one glass yourself, hopefully they refine the wines and the pourings . read more

We drove over 1 hour to visit the winery, only to be told all tasting would be done outdoors, since it was their pumpkin festival. Tasting wine out of plastic cups soured my opinion of the wines. I understand why only plastic was allowed outside, but we should have had the option to stay indoors. I've never been to a winery that did this, and I have to say I would not go back. There are many other wineries in Minnesota, that offer a traditional tasting with real glasses, the way a tasting should be done. It was also, very chilly standing outside in the wind.
