This is a great orchard for little kids and families. They have farm animals to feed, small corn pit, hayrides, zip line, apple launcher, the water pad jumpy thing etc. The nature trail is very cute and fun. On weekends they have food trucks and live music. Activities were on average $5 per activity. They had samples of different apples. It was very busy but not cramped and plenty of seating. The cheese curd and roasted corn were just as good as the State Fair.

Luce line orchards is a great place for fall activities. The parking is across the street and there is overflow parking in a field. They have parking right next to the activities for people who are older or are handicapped. They have plenty of porta potties throughout the area. There is a cost for the different activities, but admission into the place is free. They have nice walking trails and 2 areas for the animals. They have a draft horse and some cows. They have a petting zoo area with mini horses, sheep's, goats, and chickens. They do pony rides on the weekends and hay rides. They have a cute corn maze, fun slide, go karts, playground, basketball, teeter toter, apple sling shot, corn shooter, corn pit, big pillow, zip line and a pumpkin to swing in. They also have a store filled with goodies. They have food on site also. It's a really nice place to go and the staff are very friendly. I recommened this place for a family fun day.

Round two at Luce Line. For $6 you get access to most of the orchard, a tractor ride and general use of property. They have a carnival dog/corn dog truck on site and also sell burgers and brats with home made apple slaw (amazing). We arrived at 10 and it gets busy on beautiful days. I highly recommend the hay ride to the corn maze, the corn pit for kids, petting the animals, touring the barn, They added home made sangria and lemonade this year but I didn't wait in line. They have hot donuts and pastries for sale in the front of the bars and produce, apples and knock knacks in the back and inside. There is a fun walk along the back of the property that tells stories of the tornado and history of the farm. Great staff, nice family we will be back - fall, gotta love it in Minnesota

It is a coworking space / member club and I think most people use it for working remote. But it was a fun spot to see transformed into a networking event! They have a stunning bar, and some comfy seating and games in the main area. The office rooms area was blocked off so didn't see what those are like. The space easily transformed with seating for a speaker series and decorations. Very cool!

I recently attended an event at the North House (NOHO) event space…read more NOHO is a members only club located in north loop. I took the (very slow) elevator up to the event space floor, so I didn't get to see any of the other club areas. The decor at the front of the event space is quirky and fun, with large prints of animals. The double-sided bar is directly in front, and is also impressive. Behind the bar is a lounge area with couches, high top tables and a shuffle board table. Farther into the room the space opens up, and there are large windows facing Washington Ave. The event space was quite large, and I can see how having a big empty space would be useful for a dance floor or more tables, but it felt quite bare and empty when I was there, especially because the front section (by the bar) felt so cozy. Overall, I think the event space was nice and had a lot of flexibility.

Not having to wonder what to do on Mother's Day. Or Easter. Or New Year's Eve. The Minneapolis Club just takes care of it. Brunch, more brunch (with a petting zoo), and Murph and the Magic Tones, respectively. (All that said, weekend restuarant service is typically on only special occasions.) Major use of this club is lunch during the week. People have tons of business lunches. I never have, and it's mausoleum-esque on Friday night, which I don't mind. The food is excellent. The gym has one squat rack and no deadlifting platform, but there are real weights, lots of treadmills, and it's the sort of place where your old lady can get her Pilates with wine. The pool is too warm but very clean. It's got one of the only doubles squash courts in the state. No racquetball. The locker room will make you think you're a Master of the Universe, even though you're in the Upper Midwest and decidedly upper middle class. They have an attached hotel. I use it to house my Fox-News-watching parents. When they awaken at the crack of noon, the concierge tells them how nice I am. The concierge also gets us tickets to stuff. (Fourth row at Ali Wong, sky box for the Twins, etc. ;) Lots of banquet rooms upstairs. Great for hosting lunches to grow your business. Or depositions. Lots and lots of high-end reciprocal clubs. And everyone is nice. Not Minnesota nice. Legit nice. Bottom line: This is an appropriate use of money. It's not cheap, but it's absolutely not ridiculous.

Location was inconvenient for me as it was a 45 minute drive, but the friendly and helpful staff, combined with their large and beautiful facilities made it worthwhile. Second Harvest Heartland was easy to work with. Their online reservation system made it easy to see which time slots could accommodate us. We were even able to use their large meeting room space to host a 2 hour lunch and networking event prior to our volunteering session. The large room included 2 screens for projecting presentations from your laptop, sound system with microphone and a strong and free WiFi. All of this was of great value to our group! As one of the leaders of Asian Professionals Alliance in MN (APAM), we brought together 70 volunteers from across APAM member companies: 3M, Best Buy, Cargill, General Mills, Medtronic, Target & US Bank. Not only was this venue large enough to accommodate our large group, they were so organized, gave us great instruction and constantly kept the workplace clean, comfortable. They had 6 computers at the entrance for each individual to register for the event. Half of our group boxed care packages for senior citizens while the other half worked to inspect and package 40 pound bags of potatoes for food shelves across the country. My favorite part is that they share the results of your volunteer efforts at the end of your shift. I would absolutely recommend this place for volunteering sessions - for individuals, small groups and large groups!
