I had not been able to treat my vision conditions because we could not afford insurance and the local office denied us assistance since my baby was 6 wk. old. I told the officers I had forgotten my younger child because my older child went into a meltdown. This happened because I got scared and wanted to go home instead of going into the store. I told them when I got out of the van all I could see was white. I told them I tried to get her back into the van but could not secure her in the van. I pancaked, all I could think is I have to bet her inside because if she got away from me I would never be able to catcher her. With so many cars around this was a life threatening situation for my older child. The officers left all information about my older child out of the report. They also left out the information about my vision issues. My attorney did not obtain the footage showing what happened and allowed me to be denied the right to speak at my indictment hearing. I have called the paper more than once to let them know what really happened and all they did was add the phrase I stated my older daughter was with me to the article. Even after I had the whole thing expunged for the stated reasons they refuse to change the article and leave it on the internet. You can not trust what is written in their paper.
