Exploring new coffee shops is right up my alley so I was glad to stumble upon this gem that is both a coffee shop AND a bar while in charming Castle Rock along the main strip. I stopped in mid morning and indulged in a iced lavender latte and a blueberry muffin. I asked them to use only half the sweetener and it came out perfect. I find myself in castle rock from time to time and I will keep this one on my list for sure! read more

It is a decent place! The barista was nice. A little bit of outdoor seating. It wasn't too loud. It's a little too dark and cluttered inside for my taste. The coffee was good. read more

I enjoy this coffee shop. Very homey ambiance and great selection of coffee. They also have lots of other options if you are not a coffee drinker. Great pastries as well. And if you go in the afternoon they offer beer, wine and cocktails. You definitely get the local hometown vibe here. read more

Is it a coffee shop? Is it a bar? It appears to be both. Me and The Hubs stopped at this quirky/funky place to get a quick coffee on our way home after lunch. I had an iced coffee with a splash of cream. I'm not sure what The Hubs got, but we both enjoyed our coffees. The barrista/bartender was very nice and the shop was clean. I was working around the corner and in town from KS. Walking into the shop I was a bit confused if I was at a bar or coffee shop. Apparently I was in both. They have a good coffee menu, My coffee had good flavor. From the looks of the place there was a good selection of beers that are available both to go and in draft. If there has ever been a "Cheers bar" experience at a coffee shop, this is it. If you don't know what I mean, you need to watch a few episodes of Cheers :-) I love the coffee and the WiFi is always performant which helps when I'm trying to get work done. Today I stopped by here for my Saturday morning coffee. I've been wanting to visit here for the past few months. I ordered a 20 ounce drip coffee. The featured drip coffee was Costa Rican. It was really good! As usual, Costa Rican coffees don't disappoint. I loved the earthy and rich flavor of Crowfoot's Costa Rican blend. Crowfoot is a local coffee company that roasts their own coffee in a nearby facility in Castle Rock. They also sell their various coffees at this location. The various coffees are posted on a wall high up to the right of the barista station. You may also ask for a laminated menu of their coffees. They also sell homemade bakery items. There is a small open air display stand to the right of the ordering counter that features cinnamon rolls, sweet breads, bagels and other pastries. The bakery is made by a local company out of The Springs. I ordered a cinnamon roll to go and ate it at home. It was delicious! Tasted nice and fresh. I recommend hearing it up in the microwave. I would definitely order this again! Also, staff is very friendly here. There is plenty of seating inside. Love how it's decorated. I especially liked all of the beer tap handles hanging upside down at the barista station. Interior is clean as well. They also have a front patio area for outside seating. I absolutely plan on returning to Crowfoot in the near future. If you're ever in Castle Rock or passing thru, I highly recommend this place! Better yet, if you're a CR local and haven't been here yet, I recommend it even more! read more

Came in here on a Monday mid-morning. The staff was super friendly and made my spicy mocha very quickly. The decor is a lot of local art and it's pretty cool. There are some tables inside for seating, as well as outside. The bathroom was clean and had soap and paper towels. I think the prices were about average to a little high for the product type, but I'd still recommend this little shop if you're in the area. read more

Stopped in for coffee on a Saturday morning and the place was hoppin'! The vibe here is pretty cool...I definitely would have stayed in if we weren't on our way to a wedding in town. They had a nice variety of drink offerings and our party got a lavender latte, a coconut milk cappuccino, and a black coffee. All were just okay - not bad, but not great. The coffee tasted pretty weak as well...may have just been an off day. Service was super friendly and cool though so I'd give them another chance but probably not for coffee. read more

I'm obsessed with coffee/cocktail bars. I think its a GREAT idea! I've been here twice after a race and gotten the bloody mary both times. They have really great bloody mary mix and very good additions. The space is nice for getting together one-on-one, with a group, or to work. (It might be a bit noisy on weekends to work). The only bummer part is that the patio is shaded in the morning so that kind of stinks if you'd like to enjoy your beverage outside as it's still a little chilly in the AM. If we do that race in the area again next year, we'll likely be back! read more

Not sure why the ratings are high here!this is a local family owned coffee shop where the lady of the house took less than a minute to make the latte my hubby ordered. I got the decaf mocha and it was also subpar! People told us that Colorado has some serious coffee, however we are yet to encounter a trained barista who pays attention to the temperature, microfoam and if the beans are good. Here the temperature at which latte was made was way over, there was no microfoam whatsoever and the beans were so so. Guess boulder won't disappoint us as we take our coffee seriously back home in SF Bay Area. Good luck to this amateur couple though as the ambience and effort at making this a good coffee shop is well intentioned! read more

So this place is kind of wonderful. The coffee is good and if you are unhappy with it, they will re-make it for you without attitude. It is a tried-and-true local joint and the owner is clearly proud to be a part of this community. Bonus points for now carrying almond milk! Before I could walk right over from Dream Pastries and parking was easier (less traffic which is probably good for them, not so for us). I felt it lost some of its charm in the new location. :( In addition, even though they open at 6am, I have found a few times where I get in at 630am and they still don't have pastries and such set out yet. Cute little place but to be honest I was disappointed in the tea selection. I had asked for recommendations specifically for tea and most people said to go here. I was able to choose from four boxes and hand the person my tea bag. Not much of a selection of you ask me. It tastes fine but it did not make me want to come back here.
