My father died in august of last year. We had previously used the milwaukie location when my father in law passed, and figured we'd use them for my father. The original meeting and set up were great. Everything seemed legit and in order. And that's where the good part of the review ends. From the time we left their presence they stopped communicating. They delayed the return of my father multiple times. 6 months later I STILL do NOT have ALL of my father back. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to have a local artist use some of my fathers ashes to make a glass worry stone. It was for a necklace I have. WE STILL DO NOT HAVE IT! Every time we call they tell us that a supervisor will call use back. 6 months of "we will get a supervisor to call you"! When are they gonna call? My guess is the dark side of never. I waited 6 months to leave this review. 6 months of crying just wanting my dad to come home. 6 months of not a single supervisor giving a crap. They literally closed this location, due to staffing and never called to notify us. So now we have to deal with one of their other locations. All I can say is never NEVER EVER bring your loved ones to ANY crown memorial. They are a bunch of sadistic people who want you to suffer as much as humanly possible. Because any normal person would say hmm these people haven't gotten their dad back from 6 MONTHS AGO! Maybe we should elevate this? No let's keep doing the same things we always do. My next step is to call the artist who should have made it. After that, lawyer. At this point I want my dad or I want my money back. read more

My 94 year old father was under hospice care for almost a year. Since I'm from out of town, and had no idea how to make this kind of selection, I asked the hospice group if they had any recommendations. While they were cautious about appearing to make an endorsement - they said that Crown is reasonably priced, open 24 hours and easy to work with. In the days before he passed, I created an account on-line and made the selections. It could not have been easier. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't shop this. It was a simple cremation, and the recommendation was enough for me. I would say two things really stand out. Shelby helped with the on-line obituary and it was perfect. The box we selected for his ashes looked less impressive in the photo, so we were pleasantly surprised when we saw it. It was very nice, not cheap looking at all. The communication was excellent throughout and there were no surprises, and everyone I spoke to was professional and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend Crown Memorial. read more

My brother passed away 2 weeks ago and Crown Memorial Center in Tualatin was recommended. They promptly attended to my brother and were gracious in waiting until the next day to call me and go over the specifics details. They handled all the details in a comforting and dignified manner. One of their services is the ability to post an obituary on their website with no extra charge. The lady who assisted me with this was very helpful and made numerous changes to the text until I was satisfied with the result. It turned out very nice with pictures and a link to selected charities. I would like to thank her for that and also to the other employees of Crown Memorial who made this difficult time as smooth as possible. If and when one needs to deal with the passing of a loved one I would recommend Crown Memorial. There pricing is on the low end of the spectrum for these type of services. read more

My husband passed suddenly and unexpectedly, causing such pain and grief and what I call the "Grief Fog". I didn't have a mortuary set up and although knew my husband's specific instructions, was in the dark as to who to use for these very important services. I was so relieved when I was referred to Crown Memorial Center, as they diligently, delicately, compassionately and thoroughly handled all details! I knew I was in good hands the moment I called! We lost a loved one recently in St Helen's Oregon. The family called a local funeral home for transport and simple cremation. We received an email that included the documentation and cost. They wanted $2,065 for a basic cremation and 2 death certificates. We used Crown 3 years ago for another loved one so we called them. Total cost for the same service was $875 including 2 death certificates and the transport from St Helen's. The family felt that the local funeral home would be at least competitive, they were not, the savings of $1,190 was passed on to a local charity in Gloria's name. We were also very pleased with the staff at Crown, they were pleasant to deal with. read more

Crown Memorial provided cremation services for both my Mother and Father at the time of passing. They were professional, reasonably priced and covered every detail that needed to be handled. I was always kept informed at each step. They offer support and comfort during the difficult time of losing a loved one. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Everyone should cover their end of life plan while they are able and not leave the final steps for grieving family to handle. My parents had their details nailed down long before their time came. I would like to put in a good word for the staff at Crown Memorial. We handled almost everything by phone and email, and they did not hesitate to work with us even though my dad died of COVID. Overall, they helped make a really difficult situation a little easier. The only concern I have is the fact that both my dad and I have received marketing information from other funeral and cremation services since he died. I can't verify where these businesses got our names, but I hope our information was not being sold or distributed without our permission. read more

THEY DROPPED MY DADS BODY!!!! Crematory team came to pick up and after warming them that they may run into issues the chose NOT to listen and now we have the HORRIBLE memory of witnessing them trying to get him unstuck off of railing & porch. It was so bad I had to call 911 for a lift assist team to help THEM!!! Then to add insult to this horrific memory. They apologize the next day and offer a 50% "COURTESY DISCOUNT". Porch scratches remind us everyday of this businesses 'NEW TRADITION"...I would definitely NOT recommend!!! read more

Crown assisted my family with my estranged Veteran homeless brother who lived out of state from us. Their online process was easy and response time was quick. They were able to coordinate with the Medical Examiner's Office for pick up and arranged for a short viewing upon our arrival in town.
