We…read morestayed in the Yurt Glamping accommodation which was cozy and well equipped to feel like home. They have a convenient outdoor grill where we made all of our meals and they have plenty of cooking resources to help guests feel like they have an equipped kitchen for their food preparation. The blankets and linens on the bed were incredibly comfortable and provided us with excellent rest. The experience strikes the right balance between camping and enjoying the ranch lifestyle. The public part of their barn is open 24/7 with WiFi and they have a cute store inside selling a variety of provisions as well as clothing and fun gift items like tiny felt alpacas. You can buy fresh beef and pork grown by their neighbors' farms directly from them which is a cool unique perk of staying at the ranch. We enjoyed getting to interact with all the different animals they have on the ranch consisting of alpacas, goats, cows, bulls, horses, and dogs. The most incredible experience we had was doing the horse heart event with Merrill. She guided us through interacting with the horses in an emotional and intimate way that was unforgettable. We then learned how to groom and take care of the horses then got to ride the same horses we bonded with the following morning for a breathtaking morning horse ride. Last but not least, you can't beat the view of the stars at night, it's as clearest a sky out there as you could ever hope for. We are so grateful to have found this place and can't wait to come back!!

While I was there I saw a horse pen with 6 horses in it, with only one small shelter from the snow and cold, yet, none of the horses had winter coat's on. They were standing in muddy ice and also there was a little white goat in the same pen. It seemed odd and dangerous to all of us. There was a lot of trash and junk around the entire horse barn, there was also two little ponies standing on ice with only a small tarp above them for shelter. this place does not look like the pictures I saw on the their website and the animals look destressed

My daughter and I had a wonderful time, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. It…read morewas my first time riding a horse, and all of the trainers were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. Reservations must be made by phone. I called on a Saturday afternoon for a Tuesday morning ride, and they were able to accommodate us. Since it was the slow season and a weekday, availability was better. However, weekends tend to book up quickly, even during the off-season, so I recommend calling several days in advance. You won't receive an email confirmation, so be sure to make note of your reservation time. If you forget, you can always call and confirm it they are very friendly and happy to help. We chose the one hour ride, which was perfect for a first time rider like me. While it would have been nice to ride through the aspen grove, we're saving that for our next visit. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the views were amazing. My 11 year old daughter, who has a little riding experience, also had a fantastic time. Our guide was supportive, informative, and engaging. She shared interesting information about the local wildflowers, mountain peaks, and the surrounding area, which made the ride even more enjoyable. Helmets are available on site and are optional. One tip: be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and bring a cap or hat. There is limited shade on the trail, and the sun can be quite strong, especially at higher elevations. Overall, it was a very fun experience, and we're already looking forward to returning to try the one and half hour tour next time.
