Crown Point Embroidery was recommended to me by a local tshirt print shop for Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing. I'm soooo lucky to have found Kelly at Crown Point Embroidery! He was so nice, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job on our tshirts for a game show. The design was absolutely perfect, colorful and large like we wanted. Kelly's prices were also the most reasonable in the area, and he was able to finish the shirts in good time. I can't say enough about Crown Point Embroidery if you are looking for quality Direct-to-Garment printing at reasonable prices - he's the best! Kelly Mock runs a great little shop over the top of the Roxy restaurant in downtown Encinitas. He does a lot, but I used his art and embroidery services and have been very pleased. He has probably done over 50 pieces (jackets, vests, shirts) and the quality and service level is outstanding. Support your local independent business! Kelly is great at Christmas and holiday time for custom embroidery on everything from stockings to bathrobes! Typically he can turn a project around within 3-5 days - so really good and local! Give him your business - he's worth it. read more

Kelly has done several projects for me. The quality of the embroidery is high and Kelly worked directly with me to get the design and colors just right. I was able to ask for many changes and pick out my own thread colors. Everything always turns out perfect and re-ordering has been a snap. Today Kelly got up at 4 am to finish some custom tote bags that I ordered yesterday for our event. Friendly, courteous, hard-working and reliable. read more

Still a happy and repeat customer! I ordered matching sleeping bags for my daughter and niece from an online retailer (Land of Nod) and despite me paying for 2-day delivery, it was held up due to a big storm in the midwest. I got it 5 days later than expected which really put me in a bind because I wanted to take them to Crown Point and have them embroidered before we left for our Christmas trek up north. I realized the pressure I was putting on Kelly with asking for a tight turnaround, so I let him know that getting the one done for my niece was fine - he could do my daughters post-holiday. She's 19-months-old, she would not miss this as a gift. However, I made the purchase so they could have matching ones for the holidays but mostly for our family trip to Wyoming and Montana in the summer. Thankfully, Kelly was able to complete the order the following morning and surprised me by completing not only ONE but BOTH of them! I was blown away and so appreciative for going the extra mile. I knew he had gotten to work at 3am the day I dropped it off and the morning I picked up so he could fulfill all his holiday orders. Talk about going above and beyond and providing EXCELLENT customer service. The personalized sleeping bags came out adorable and my niece and daughter loved having matching ones for the holidays to match their matching Christmas outfits. My 3 sisters want us all to get matching sleeping bags for our trip now....GREAT! It looks like I'll be back soon, Kelly. For that order and many others in the future. I called Crown Point last week (12/11/18 I think) as I needed first names embroidered on 24 zipper hoodies. Kelly was super friendly, and turned the job in less than a week, and this is the Christmas season, when shops like his are super busy. And did the fast turnaround result in a compromise of quality? Nope! The names looked great. Very nice thread density - and each was placed perfectly on the jackets. Kelly is Awesome! I had a rush job for christmas... embroidering my friends names on some chef jackets and while everyone else was quoting me weeks for completion, Kelly did this over a couple days. He even came in on a Sunday for me to pick them up before my gift giving dinner. The embroidery was great, I got them just in time, and my friends loved them! I've got some really cool players signatures on it, but have avoided the back because I wanted to get two large Pink Ribbons on the back of the jersey. The measurement was 4" of the embroidery work and I was told that I needed to pay a setup fee, which I was willing to pay. It took me a few weeks to get my jersey back to the store, but when I did, I was told that someone had already paid the setup fee and that I didn't need to pay that after all. What they didn't tell me was that it would not be the size I wanted. In fact, it wasn't even half the size!!! Then I was told that it would take a week to 10 days to complete it. It took well over a month. Then I was asked about placement of the ribbons. I told them in the center. They were not centered and toward the top. I was also told that I would be texted when the jersey was done. But all communications were done via email only which further delayed the work because I get over 200 emails a day and literally had to search for the communications. They said that they could redo the work, but that I would have to pay the setup fee. And likely wait another 6 weeks for my jersey? No thanks. Now I need to find another embroidery company to see if they can fix this. This has been a horrible experience for me.

I found this business through Yelp while searching for a custom shirt company for a large multidisciplinary project with other investors. Their excellent reviews, quality work samples, design assistance capabilities, and small minimum orders for samples made them appear to be an ideal fit. After reviewing their website and options, I reached out over a month ago but received no response. Assuming my message didn't go through, I contacted them again via Yelp on August 15th and received an initial response. However, after I replied, I had to follow up a week later due to no response. They responded again, and I provided the additional requested information on August 25th. I followed up on September 3rd, and it has now been two weeks since my last message. While I understand the challenges independent businesses face in the current economic climate and have been extremely patient due to their 5-star reviews, this level of communication has been completely unprofessional. As a former small business owner, I always maintained transparency about whether projects were within my scope, ability, or bandwidth. If I couldn't take on a project, I communicated that clearly rather than leaving clients in limbo. After more than a month of unproductive back-and-forth, I question whether these 5-star reviews accurately reflect the current service experience.
