This custom T-shirt shop has been around since the 70's and still serves up that old-school flavor. Although they can put anything you like on a T-shirt or cap, they do have their own unique design sense. Also a retail shop, you can buy shirts with local logos representing the various neighboring towns in all sizes including infant and toddler. I had some vintage iron-on transfers that I purchased on eBay. They were really old from the 70's because I needed them for wardrobe for a period photoshoot. I brought in the shirts and the transfers and they put them on. For only $1 each. I had two shirts. I threw the Son a $20 and thanks for the help. I left ordering custom printed shirts to the last minute. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg in express shipping over a holiday (4th of July) and I also needed to have the shirt in time. Luckily, I found Shattos and they were wonderfully helpful! They guaranteed my shirts would be done when I needed them and were actually done a day early. Ryan was GREAT and made sure to double check the placement and size of my design and even texted me pictures to make sure. Usually, when you only order a few shirts (literally 3) businesses charge you a great deal per shirt. The price BEAT the online prices and the quality is excellent. Family owned and operated since before Iron Maden was a band, this schnazy shirt shop is no joke the best shirt shop around-- for a LONG distance. I drive from Los Angeles to Encinitas to get my Non-Profit organizations shirts done by Ryan Shatto and his team, and you know what, it's worth the drive. (Even with the 405 traffic.) For one this shop is just plain old fun to visit with an adjacent local art gallery and the tasty island fusion served over at the adjacent Mozy's Cafe, you might just end up buying more than your ordered to begin with. But art and cuban burritos aside, what sets Shatto and Sons apart is the customer service. They are top tier at what they do, which is probably why they've been around so long. When I first called the owner Ryan- I'll be honest, I didn't know the answers to some really no brainer questions. (I totally would of hung up on myself.) Ryan helped me through the process and made it really easy. Don't print your shirts using cheap material junk you saw on sale online. For god sakes if you are getting these for your business, the shirts you end up printing are seen by customers as representation of your companies value system. Crappy shirts tells people you probably cuts corners elsewhere. Come on-- Take some pride and make your shirts look nice-- go local, get your shirts done right the first time. And my 2 cents (since you are reading my review), I'd trust this place above all others I have seen to be the ones to help make that happen. read more

I had two custom running tanks that I wanted done...I talked to the owner, Ryan, who was super helpful. He told me my best option considering the material would be vinyl transfer, because I did not meet the order minimums for screenprinting. He then told me that Shatto's doesn't do vinyl transfer, but sent me to another local business that does. How classy is that? I would definitely recommend Shatto's for their professionalism and knowledge. They also have a wide variety of local-themed tees and sweatshirts already done, so a great place to get gifts for visitors! read more
