My dinner was to include Vegetable, but none came with my plate. I was the only guest sitting there at the time. So it's not as though they were busy. So disappointed during my trip. I chose this hotel mainly because it's one of the few in the area that offers free parking and isn't located downtown. When we arrived, the venue next door seemed to be hosting a Hispanic heritage event with valet parking. We initially parked in front of the lobby but were told we couldn't leave the car there. Check-in was smooth--the staff gave us a map and explained which entrance was closest to our room. However, parking became a real challenge after that since most of the spots were taken by event guests, which was frustrating. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Checkout time was actually 12 p.m. instead of 11, which was a nice surprise. Another bonus: the bathroom amenities were high quality, including good shampoo, hand wash, and body wash. read more

I've stayed here about 7 or 8 times in the last 5 years, and I personally love it. The neighborhood is sketchy so I definitely recommend, especially for solo female travelers such as myself, filling up and getting necessities in a different area, and simply stay at the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant onsite. And then after hours snack room (for purchase) if you check in late like I do. I'm a huge fan of a balcony in a hotel room so that's another plus for me. The customer service is always five stars, and the only reason I'm giving them four this time around is because I've noticed the cleanliness going down in my last two visits. We recently stayed here with our little dog for eight days and would gladly do so again. The staff was friendly and accommodating - from Melissa and the front desk crew, the friendly security guard, the housekeepers and - most of all - the staff at the Stonestreet Grill where we had breakfast each morning. Tad and Ashley made our dining experiences there pure joy. The quality of the food - especially when Tad was cooking - was top notch. And Ashley always made sure there was a treat for our doggy, also. The reason why I have the hotel in general only four stars was because a lot of things were either broken (guest printer, elevator) or not available (no microwaves in rooms). But these minor inconveniences will not deter us from staying here again. read more

The staff were friendly and helpful which was a plus. Simple and easy welcome and check in. We had a first floor room which was convenient to not have to wait for an elevator but it meant we heard all the noise from guests instead. So that made sleeping at night not the easiest. They have a restaurant for breakfast which from my personal experience, do the buffet only because the actual food orders themselves weren't that great. By power bowl just looked like they grabbed the ingredients and just throw them into a bowl. It was a mess. They also said they were out of pancakes when my wife ordered them, and then 15 minutes later, the guests opposite us who came in after us, got pancakes. So that was disappointing that we were lied to. The gym is small. Has free weights, some cardio stuff but not much space. Pool and sauna is cool. The accessibility room, is odd. They have space for wheelchair but everything is up high. So as little people/dwarfs, it made no sense. So yeah, not the greatest but not the worst. read more

As a IHG Platinum member, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I received immense value with a 12th floor balcony view with two Queen beds. My queen bed was so comfy that I left my stay very rested. The cleanliness isn't a perfect 10. Housekeeping could dust a bit better especially on upper areas but this isn't a deal breaker for me because like I said, I came out very rested because my room was so comfy! I would rate the cleanliness an 8/10. Not bad considering this is an old hotel. My only critique is the other guests. This is clearly a no smoking hotel but ghetto people with no manners ruined this experience for me. I understand the hotel has no control on what other guests do but it is important to include in this review. Clearly, the location isn't the best because there's homeless roaming nearby but there are security guards on top of it so don't worry about safety. Overall, I'm satisfied for the value I received. Crown Plaza is not Marriot or Hilton which are higher tier hotels but it was a good stay overall. Definitely better than staying at a cheap Motel 6 invested with bugs. For the average person, it is perfect. It was so comfy with no bugs. There's no free breakfast unless you're a diamond member but it's fine. There's an Applebee's nearby like 5 min walking distance. There's Mily's breakfast. You can even drive to Frontier Restaurant because you're so close to UNM. If you're not from ABQ, the interior design is very southwest. It's perfect for those wanting to experience NM in a very reasonable budget. Pros: Great value! Room is very comfy. There's a fridge. This hotel has a lot of space. Location close to many restaurants. Free coffee. Cons: Location is so-so (ghetto but the majority of ABQ is) but you have security on it. No microwave. Gym is small. One star for nice staff however there were bugs in our room immediately upon walk in. More dead bugs also appeared next to the curtains. The room smelled of pest control that clearly wasn't working. They did move us to a different room but we had a bad night of stress and discomfort. The pictures online are outdated- this hotel is extremely old, dirty, and smelly. My ex bought my kids and I a room for the night so we can stay in Albuquerque for my son's birthday and Father's day. This is honestly a nicer place than I'm used to staying at, so it was a nice get away for a night. Room was very nice and clean. Stayed on the 5th floor. They gave plenty of towels. The clock radio had extra electrical outlets and USB ports, which was nice. Decent selection of tv channels. AC worked a little too well, my daughter got a bit cold in the early morning hours and turning the knobs didn't make any change whatsoever. It's like the current setting was stuck. Shower curtains are those double cloth kind, hard to fit to the whole tub so it causes somewhat of a mess. My kids loved swimming in both pools. One indoor and one outdoor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. Lots of drawer and closet space. Would stay here again if it's in my budget. read more

Easy parking and nice rooms. I was on the 10th floor and I went out on my balcony and took in the nice views. Ask for a room on a high floor and if your room faces east you'll get a nice view of the mountains and if to the west you'll see all the cars move along the spaghetti bowl of highways and wonder where they're all going. I felt very comfortable here and I could see returning again for what would be my third visit if I'm passing through the area again. This is a convenient location. We also enjoyed our visit to the cantina restaurant and bar which was onsite to take in our dinner which was also pretty good. read more

It;s 2024. Internet is critical. Internet at 2.45/2.90 is from the 1990s. Slowest internet I've experienced in this decade. Traveled from AZ to ABQ arrive 3AM. Called notify of late arrive. Late nigh guy going on and on about how they shouldn't have allowed check-in after 2am, etc. This was a corporate res and paid in advance. - Sorry night dude needs a new job. Slowest elevators on the planet. Nice furniture, not great sound proofing. No refrigerator, no microwave - again, this is 2024 and those minor additions are standard. AND, no microwave in a community space. No breakfast as is also fairly standard. Love the signs that say ice and point to the right and at the other end of the hall, signs that say ice and point left. Guess what, no ice... no signage saying ONLY on 4th floor - search until you get tired of searching. So no refrig, half broken single ice machine on the 4th floor. OK, this Hotel is not looking to serve their guest. This used to be a Hilton and I stayed there many times. read more

We were originally booked at a hotel across the street and were alarmed at how bad it was, we walked across the street to Crowne plaza where Melissa at the front desk helped us. She was able to get us into a room right away and was so friendly and helpful, we were immediately put at ease. I'm not sure why this hotel has 3-stars -- it has to be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Albuquerque for 4 nights and attended a work conference there. Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm, but my room wasn't ready until 7pm! When asked about the delay, the concierge stated that the hotel had been completely full all weekend and they did not have enough people on the housekeeping team to clean all of the rooms. Being as there was a local event in Albuquerque that weekend and the hotel agreed to host a national conference (that has been planned since fall 2022), one would expect that the hotel would hire more staff for the high demand. I ate at the $15 continental breakfast and it was extremely underwhelming. No fruit, limited cereal options, no bacon, no pancakes/waffles, no bagels, etc. For that price I would expect a true continental breakfast -- I've seen much better at other budget hotels. The cantina bar had $14 margaritas that were essentially all premixed Jose Cuervo and a splash of tequila. The food was overpriced and minimal. I was given a 1st floor ADA room. I am not someone with a disability, but I am unsure how someone could get into the bathroom to shower. I had to stand next to the toilet just to shut the door! Not sure how that is ADA compliant. The TV was old and dim since it was about to die and had no tv guide. The walls are thin, and you can hear people screaming in the hallways and outside. The pros to the room were that it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. This hotel is located in a run-down part of the city. I felt unsafe on the ground floor, but there were no available rooms for me to switch to. Lots of people wandering around who weren't tenants of the hotel. The pool was closed and there was no hot tub. I would never recommend anyone stay at this hotel. They are in wayyyy over their heads and customers deserve a place to relax when away from home. NO HOT WATER! I definitely agree with Cyn M.'s recent review -- no reason for this hotel to get anything other than 1 star. No hot water (and no help from the hotel staff with that at all). No minifridge. No cream or sugar for the coffee. Threadbare sofa cushions with holes. Worn furniture. Food in the Cantina Restaurant is awful (do NOT order the Pork Mac N' Cheese!). Just overall a very poor experience. (For comparison, I stayed in a kind of rinky-dink hotel last night in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma, and the amenities, cleanliness, and service was SO much better. Fantastic Experience--- the Staff is Amazing. After 16 hours of travel to arrive - we were exhausted and had not had a decent meal all day. We went to the hotel restaurant and the staff bent over backwards to make sure our every need was tended to. It was late -- they certainly had had a long day but they were great to us and he food was really good. Tacos Carnitas-- best I have ever had. Then to the Front Desk. JESS.... I only hope your management knows how very special you are. Thank you for all of the local area information and for your family recipe for Biscochitos... Can't wait to make them. I will always remember your kindness. Next morning.... off to breakfast where Carmen waited on us and Jesus manned the front... So kind and welcoming.. again great food and Coffee.. After several visits even months apart, I was greeted with a smile and my first name. Stayed here almost two weeks .Was going from GA to CA when hubby got sick and had to have surgery..I was in a semi and had limited options for parking in a city close to hospital he was in...The gentleman Brian working that night was excellent,got me checked in,showed me car rental agency in hotel,food etc...I could park truck anywhere on property..They have security at night felt safe.Nice room,pet friendly,room service..My only complaint is no microwave in room and I think carpet in pet rooms is a no no.Butother than that perfect stay...Loved the indoor pool, everytime I used it I was only person in pool..Could not believe more people were not using..Also Oscar was very helpful...Have nothing negative to say except personal opinion on carpet,,and really need to add microwave to rooms.Would stay here again. read more

Check in -- super friendly. Bed / pillows -- comfortable. Cleanliness -- found some dark hairs in sink, bathtub, and even in the bed :( Noisy outside at nights -- lots of yelling, from the slums. And, you KNOW your in the slums for a hotel, when at the pool and a hotel worker comes up with a clipboard asking your name and room number to make sure you're allowed to be there. Weird. Never in my life, of tons of traveling and staying in hotels, have I had that happen. Playing off the slums comment even further -- don't go for a walk to get food... nope, nope, nope... unless you want to pass tons of homeless people, and dilapidated buildings, and garbage all over the place. It's not the kind of scenic walk you hope to take while on vacation ;) Oh, back to the pool weirdness. The hotel attendant at the pool came up for a second time to let us know how the pool towel system works. "You can't have a towel unless you've been in the pool, and want to dry off afterwards. If you take a towel and lay it down, before getting wet... that's ILLEGAL", and he will have to throw you out. Because they only have so many towels, and they don't want to run out of towels. (Mind you, barely anyone was even at the pool -- because the pool is freezing cold, and there's no hot tub!). I felt like I was being PUNK'd -- this guy can't possibly be serious!? Then he came back over for a THIRD time, because our friends son was just outside of the gate, talking to us. Our friend was in the bottom floor of their room, next to the pool, within view. He started questioning why he was outside of the fence. Dude... you're taking your job WAYYYYY TOOOO SERIOUSLY. Leave us alone!!!! The elevators are snail-paced slow. Just take the 7 flights or more of stairs -- much, much faster! And, good exercise ;) The final straw was calling down to the front desk to ask for late check out, to receive a speedy "NO". We are here for a dance event -- we've been to plenty of dance events where the hotel accommodates the dancers at the events and just offers a late check out, without asking, for those attending the event. It's possible -- with good management. Especially this hotel in the slums... there is NO WAY they are booked up for people coming in on a Sunday! Laughable. Illegal to take a pool towel and put it on the ground before you get wet.... LOL read more

It's clean but the tv is from before the time you could use a HDMI cable and it's 32 inches. I think it is antenna tv , no movie channels. The bathroom is tiny. The door barely clears the toilet. Our ac was not working so they disconnected it from the wall and we have had to run it on high cold the whole time. The decor is from the 80's or 90's and makes no sense. The picture on the wall says store. ??? Parking is limited. The dog walking area has poop everywhere. What I do like is that if you need extra towels during the day or soap they bring it up. We're here for 4 nights. If I knew then what I know now I would have not stayed 1. The biggest plus is the elevator is fast. read more

Stayed 2 nights midweek. For some reason they put me next door to a guest with a dog in the room. I don't really understand why they would put guests next door to each other when the hotel was nearly empty. But when I complained about the barking dog (left alone in the room) the desk clerk was kind enough to move me. The rooms are dated and need repair (torn curtains, old TVs, damaged lamps) but i like the location. Also if your room is on the East side of the building the view of the Sandias is worth any inconvenience. read more

Staff was very friendly and helpful to our needs. They gave us the 11th floor too. They don't have hair driers in the room but you can ask for it. Cleanness and neatness are to improve. Carpet had a few stains, and I found a thick hair (not ours) on the shower curtain upon our arrival. Tv and tv channels to improve too. Otherwise, I recommend this hotel. read more

From the outside of the building you would have absolutely no clue what beauty awaited within. The southwestern styled walls, fixtures and themes are just amazingly unique and very artistically done. This looks like a place I wouldn't mind staying in if I spent more time in ABQ. The reason for my most recent visit however was NOT to use a room but rather to attend a conference. I have never had such amazing accommodations when it comes to conferences at a hotel before, but Crowne Plaza certainly outdid themselves. The customer service was amazing and the set up of the venue in the back conference room was elegant yet professional. All the staff that I talked to were so pleasant and even engaged in little jokes with me. I have never felt more welcomed or taken care of than when I visited this location. It is conveniently located just off the freeway but not too far from any modern convenience that you would need! I look forward to trips / stays here in the near future! read more

We weren't planning on stopping in Albuquerque but our motorhome refused to go further so we went with the recommendation of a dealership and we couldn't be happier! Justin is the night guy and he rocks! Anything we needed he jumped on like we were royalty or something. They were great about our dogs, the motorhome and the uhaul truck. Poor Justin kept having to give us new keys to our room because we are exhausted and brain dead... lol. They have wonderful security cruising the parking lot 24/7. I highly recommend this lovely hotel. read more

An older hotel but I was treated great by the staff. I asked for a high room and they hooked me up with what I asked for. The rooms aren't bad and the rates are not bad either. I like the location because it's easy to get anywhere in Albuquerque from the hotel. I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast unfortunately. I'd definitely stay here again. read more

We requested a room higher up in the building and got the absolute worst on the back side of the building with a view of the highway ramp complete with sound effects. Very disappointed in the Crowne Plaza service. The clerk was not very "hospitable" or quick. We offered to pay extra to get a higher floor. We were told that was impossible and that they had nothing. Stayed here the night of 2/7/2020 for a little staycation getaway with my husband. We booked the night though Priceline's name your price. This is the second time we have stayed here through Priceline. The outside of the hotel is fairly aged, but the rooms are nice. Our biggest complaint is that the hot tub is not pleasant. The pool and hot tub are indoors, which sounds nice, but it's so LOUD. When there are children present it's literally echoes of children screaming. To make things worse, the hot tub is in a corner which seems to collect and amplify the noise. Otherwise, it's not a bad stay for the price! read more

This is a horrendous business. I had a reservation for a staycation with my wife, and they didn't honor it because I have a local ID. THEY DO NOT RENT TO LOCALS!!! Being part and seeking business in the community is not part of their mission. This used to be one of the best and most reputable hotels when it was a Hilton. It seems that IHG hotels have no interest in making the property successful. I will never again give business and will do everything within my power to make sure that everyone I know won't either. So I drove 650 miles today from Tulsa to Albuquerque, heading home to Phoenix. I made a last minute reservation to stay here and let me say I LOVED IT!!! Beautiful, friendly, clean. Not pretentious at all. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our 6th floor room over looking the pool & city lights was amazing & relaxing. I was so happy to have patio doors to open & let air in. It was so nice that I kept the door open all night & shut the ac off. I would highly recommend the Crown Plaza for a short or long stay. Right off the highway ( yes, there is noise) but it didn't bother me. Now let me tell you about my amazing nights sleep... The bed was heaven. I stayed at 7 hotels from Phoenix to Illinois over the past 2 weeks & this was by far my best nights sleep. I will be back to Albuquerque to venture about & will definitely book my stay here! BTW, Adam the front desk Manager was very nice & friendly & also Brad (I was so tired I hope I got your name correct) who checked me in the night before was extremely helpful. Hello everyone!! This review is for the crowne plaza in Albuquerque,NM. I went thru corporate/customer service to make a reservation as I was "owed" a free night. So the rep set it up and I get into abq around 4ish, I tried to check in, the guy at the front desk "insisted " I was at the wrong hotel -.-..... I told him what the reservation number was and the name l. Took him a few tries to finally find it in the system. Once that was out of the way it was smooth sailing and had a great nights sleep. Not a typical Crowne property, dated needs a refresh. There was a room service tray in the hall from 2:30 p.m. until past 9 a.m. the next day. A group rented a single room but must have had 20 kids over swimming in the pool. Parking was impacted by a semi, and 2 trucks with trailers taking up 25+ spots. It was also weird they only have one elevator bank on the south and one in the middle, 2 elevators total for a 12+ story building?IHG Gold members, we won't be back. read more

I speak carefully: this is LITERALLY a ROACH HOTEL! We were greeted by two large, frisky American Cockroaches in the lobby upon our arrival. Other cons: dirty room with stained bed sheets, old Oreo cookies under the bed, stray hairs under the covers and NO HOT WATER in the showers. Also NO free breakfast.
