So this review is coming from the POV of someone moving and traveling with a cat. I'm driving a Penske moving truck, towing a vehicle, and my cat is with me. I'm moving cross country - WA to FL. I've driven cross country several times moving east to west and west to east plus I'm an army brat so I have lots of experience moving, long drives, and hotels. With that in mind take this review as you will.... I was looking for a hotel that accepted a cat, had a spot to park a moving van and towed car, and had a hand held shower. I called 5 hotels this is where I ended up & below are the results. 1. It is not a place for travelers who are moving and towing vehicles - it's in a residential area. If you are experienced driving large vehicles you will be fine otherwise you might want to stay somewhere else where it's easier to get a parking spot. If you are driving a pickup or car there's plenty of parking. 2. I requested a room with a hand held shower as always this seems to stump hotels when I call so it took them awhile to discover they had a ADA room with tub and hand held shower head. Take a look at the shower pics do you see what's missing and what the issues are? 2a. The hand held shower head is hung so high you can't use it when seated on the shower bench! Which defeats one of my 3 reasons for picking this hotel. ‍ 2b. There's no tub. So their guide sheet the clerk referred to when I called is wrong. 2c. The shower curtains (there's 2) don't reach the floor so the entire floor of the bathroom will get wet. Especially as the shower floor and bathroom floor are not graded to allow for the water to drain to the shower or the drain in the middle of the bathroom floor. 3. The drapes were open and the ac was off so the room was hot. The gauge says 76. I lowered it to 66, it's been 90 minutes and the room is still warm. So if you are as me and sensitive to hot weather be warned. It doesn't make alot of sense to have the shades open in a hot climate especially when the view is a parking lot. 4. The tv remote is missing. As I am a paranoid sort I called the front desk immediately not wishing to be charged for it. They offered to bring another which was nice but I can live without tv for one night. 5. The room and bathroom is large/spacious if you have kids or have accommodating devices like walkers you will have plenty of space. 6. The room appears to be very clean but I didn't take a black light to it; some things are better to be left. 7. Breakfast was interesting. 8. There is only one luggage cart and it rather large which is an issue as it doesn't fit well in the second elevator. When I pointed it out to the desk clerk he said oh use the other elevator. Umm sir when you press the elevator call button you get the elevator you get you don't get to pick as both don't appear. He seemed stumped by that. Recommendations - hotel to purchase several airport luggage carts they are more easily stored and maneuvered. read more

Have stayed here a handful of times and had a positive experience each time. As such, this is our go to stop when traveling through Albuquerque. The staff is friendly. The hotel is clean. The rooms are suites so have kitchen space, including a near full-size refrigerator and microwave. There's even a cooktop. We've never stayed more than one night but if I needed to be in Albuquerque for any length of stay, this is where I'd be doing my resting. read more

I stayed here only for one night, but it was the night that mattered. The Towneplace Suites was perfectly suitable for a 4th of July stay in Albuquerque. I was surrounded by private fireworks all night and the staff also suggested a great view point up in the hills where I could see all the fireworks being thrown up across the city. The room itself was clean and well appointed with a sumptuous breakfast of breakfast sausage and powdered eggs and all the grains one could ask for. Its proximity to Old Town meant easy access to nearby sights and the freeway, so I would definitely give the place a consideration. read more

I needed a one night rest and my dog agreed that he needed one also. We found this place that advertised dog friendly and I booked a suite. The front desk attendant was very nice and offered me some Halloween candy after I got my room key. As I walked to my room I noticed that the room doors were painted white and the scuff marks from luggage hitting the doors were noticeable. The room was nice and had a separate living room, small kitchen, and decent sized couch. The bed was king sized, comfy, and plenty of pillows. My pups likes his pillows. This is a nice hotel, but you can tell it's tailored towards the blue collar individuals who work hard and has long stays. I didn't try the complimentary breakfast served at 6 am to 9 am even though I was up and walking the dog but I did get a coffee and it was good. I did utilize the gym and it was really nice! It had plenty of weights and several new treadmills with TV's attached, and cycle machines. They also had a full sized pool if you wanted to do swimming laps. I'm giving this a 4 star based off the gym, front desk attendant kindness, and room cleanliness. If they repainted the scuffed doors the score could go higher. This was a good stop and if you need a rest stay here. read more

Stayed here in November 2024 and had a great experience. The check in process was smooth and the clerk was friendly. The room was clean and the kitchenette was fully stocked. Having a larger room and bathroom was a nice surprise. The closet was a nice touch especially for longer stays. I didn't take advantage of the included breakfast but it was a nice selection. Four stars for a reasonably priced clean place to stay in a central location in Albuquerque. Love that they have a nice big well lit and free self parking lot. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The bathroom was clean and spacious . The hand soap bars had a crazy strong scent to them that gave me a bit of an allergy unfortunately. Bedding was clean though a tad worn in spots. The room was well appointed and the bed and couch were comfy. Our room with a view wasn't much of a view but it was still pretty nice. The breakfast wasn't great but it was free and well stocked. Overall, I would stay here again if in the area. read more

Our family trip was ruined. We all got severe food poisoning from the hotel breakfast buffet. While we were sick in the room, the front desk called and forced us to move rooms because they "needed our suite to upgrade someone else." They literally kicked a sick family out of their room for a free upgrade for a stranger. It was cruel and chaotic. read more

It's a very new hotel. It's very conveniently located near many restaurants and other attractions in the Old Town area and near the Pueblo Cultural Center. It's also about expectations; everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful.  There are so many cool places nearby you'll have fun just seeing them. They got me the type of room I wanted with no problem. The rooms were clean and nice.  The room's itself had all the space I needed and  a Mini refrigerator and coffeemaker, which I use. Everything was working just fine and very clean  I was impressed with the staff and their willingness to try to help me in any way that it could the hotel was great and made for relaxing stay. I stayed for almost three weeks. read more

BED BUGS. Not sure if these are actual bed bugs or fleas or some other type of bug but when I turned down the sheet, there were bugs in the bed. The assistant manager was rude and unkind and while they offered to move us, we had already unpacked after a very long 2 days of driving, all I wanted to do was sleep for a few hours and get out! The shower had mold and was dirty. They refused to refund the full cost of the room. Stay elsewhere. read more

NEW HOTEL- Only one year old. The hotel is immaculate and staff is friendly and looks happy to work here. Parking Is free and lot looks secure. Lobby is spacious with lots of seating in 2 large TV's period, the decor is very cute and represents things about New Mexico period, one thing that we found interesting was that there was no Christmas decorations and it was Christmas Day period, there is a gym and indoor pool at the hotel period, rooms are well sized period TV is a bit odd, as far as words placed to the right of the bed period, there's a full kitchen in the room, including a large size fridge or dishwasher stove top microwave period beds are pretty comfortable and the room was quiet, I really didn't hear much noise except for a dog barking from a different room period, the hotel smells and looks very clean and well maintained, create Thursday, this is on hand hygiene with lots of can shield stations period. The complimentary breakfast is quite good, with good variety or hot and cold items for free. There is no electric car charging. The Indian Cultural Center is a short drive away and WELL worth visiting. Azarei, See See and Maria were standouta. We would definitely stay here again read more

There are some restaurants within walking distance and a few great places within driving distance. The breakfast was very very good (loved the biscuit sandwich). Fancy ~ I believe this hotel is quite new, so when we got to our suite, everything looked nice and clean. The suite was more than what we needed that night since we were literally just going to wash up for the night, sleep, and leave early in the morning to continue our road trip back home. Sadly, we didn't get to use the suite to its full potential since we did not stay long enough to use the kitchen, but everything was great there. The toiletries provided were also nice as they were a known brand, full-sized, and with a nice scent. The only complaint I had was that the curtains were see-through and I prefer if outside people could not peak in. Him: Amazing experience! So crazy how you can go from one city to the next and stay in the same hotel chain and have an opposite experience... The employees were pleasant and accommodating, the gym was open and had enough to get a decent workout in, the laundry worked well and was priced intelligently (same price for washer and dryer), and the guests were in better spirits. Quick note: for whatever reason, one elevator is much smaller than the other. So if you load up a cart and need to jump on the elevator, pay attention to the doors to see the size difference. Many people wore masks but for those of us who didn't, no one bothered us. That's how it should be during all this craziness. No one is bothering anyone else. Because of this, 5 stars! I stayed here while on a road trip. The room was clean and the parking was great! They have a parking deck attached to their building. They're not serving full breakfast (they gave us brown bags with a banana, granola bar, and water) which I thought was odd. Considering the one in Salt Lake provided a full breakfast. So I had to stop to get food when I left. I'd say if you're not doing full breakfast at least do you go cereal and milk or frozen breakfast sandwiches that people could heat up and go with. read more

This was a brand new hotel when I stayed. The place is very nice, very well decorated and furnished. The WiFi was excellent, and the smart tv had both Netflix and Amazon Prime video apps. The location is central to many things to do including eating, groceries and gyms. The staff was great. I booked future visits before departing that stay. This was a very comfortable room for the three of us. We had a double queen setup and loved having a good sized table as well as the refrigerator with separate freezer. Breakfasts were very prompt to shut down when they said they will, so be on time, but the Belgian waffle makers are a treat and the little egg soufflés/quiches are pretty satisfying. The only item we wished they'd provided was yogurt. The beds are comfortable and the AC worked great. It felt pretty safe in the area and when we needed help setting up the TV to stream or accounts they were very helpful (I think his name was Justin). We'd definitely stay here again if necessary and liked that it was close to Old Town ABQ since we were there as tourists. read more

Do not believe any of the negative reviews (TripAdvisor). At the very least read them deeply and take with a grain of salt/Covid times. This hotel is AWESOME. The location cannot be beat no matter what you are doing in ABQ. We were no more than 15 minutes to anywhere. The staff is incredible. Friendly. Helpful. Kind. Vinnie in particular made us feel so welcome and had wonderful tips and recommendations. It is squeaky clean and staff is constantly mopping vacuuming wiping down and refilling everything. The full breakfasts were great. My only note would be that the scrambled eggs were always juuuuust a bit. Wet. Everything else was good. The area is very safe. Constant security (and federal buildings next door). We stayed a full week. I don't think we have ever had a more lovely stay. We have 2 chihuahuas and some dog friendly hotels are actually dog "tolerant" but this one is truly dog friendly. Great outdoor space for them to "go". Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I mean steps away. Gas stations. Fast food. 3 minute drive to old town. 3 min walk to the IPCC. We thank you all so much for an incredible experience. read more

Things were great right from the start when we were trying to book with points but the app kept glitching, so we called and Reservations went above and beyond to get us booked. Stopped here on our way through to Tucson to take our kids back to the University of Arizona. Staff was very friendly, courteous and accommodating. Rooms were like new with comfy bed, clean and we really liked setup with the almost full-size fridge with separate freezer in kitchenette area and area to stretch out our legs on sectional couch. There's also a nice sized mobile desk. It was great to be able to bring our dogs and we saw a few other guests with dogs too. They also have a dog park!! say what?! We'll definitely be back!! Super nice, new, clean hotel. Stayed here 3 nights in March 2023 after leaving a very bad hotel that we had originally booked. I called this location and they had 3 nights open. The rooms were great and parking was well lit. They have 24 hour security around the complex and there is a decent tavern across the street. There is a Starbucks and a pizza restaurant in the same center. All within walking. It appears they have other businesses opening soon. There is a huge gas station within a block that has a great market - lots of food/craft beer/snacks. The front desk staff are also very nice and pleasant. Free breakfast and coffee is kept fresh and hot all day. Highly recommend! read more

Checked in late evening to find that there's only one bath towel for my husband and I. My husband picked more from the front desk as he was returning from walking the dog. That's fine with us bec we know a lot of establishments are short staffed. But when I opened the bathroom sink drawer, lo and behold, a nasty looking washcloth was there! Closed it back and didn't even touch it! Short hairs were also found in the shower area. We were tired and just ready to sleep that we reported it to the front desk but didn't have the energy to move to a different room. The bed seemed clean though. I don't know what happened to Marriot! Used to be a very dependable company but their hotels are really going down the drain! read more

stayed here for the night while on a road trip and it was perfect. clean, normal, nice rooms. the guy who checked us in seemed like he hated working there and claimed he didn't have our reservation but he found it when we gave him the confirmation number. it was a bit noisy but it was from kids in the hotel so it was no big deal. there was some old creep in the parking lot screaming that we stole his spot..... but he wasn't even in a car when he said it. that's not on the hotel though. i'd definitely stay here again if i pass through here. read more

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was overall an OK experience despite having a room that was right next to the elevator, and on some nights it got quite loud and busy unfortunately. Didn't affect me much but I know my husband had trouble going to sleep. To be honest we were expecting the hotel to not have many customers given the whole COVID situation, but they had a decent number of guests each night we were here. Our room was very clean and large; it's a relatively new hotel and it shows. The water pressure was not great but we were able to get water temp relatively hot at least, enough to be able to take a bath. The one othet slight annoyance our first night when we arrived from the airport was that our body wash in the bathroom was not filled up and unfortunately was completely empty. So had to use a hand soap... We didn't die but wish they had topped it after the last customer had checked out. It was completely empty. At any rate, backtracking a little, but our check in was very smooth. The employee at the check in desk was courteous and made us feel welcome. She described all the amenities, time for breakfast etc. Of course they're not having open buffet right now but prepping breakfast bags for each guest who requests one. The bags this morning had yogurt, an orange, a small burrito, and a muffin. Pretty much what I was expecting in terms of style of items, but in hotels I stayed in during the pandemic all they had was usually an apple and a muffin. So the little breakfast bags here, in comparison, are not bad! The other difference than the usual times is that cleaning is not coming in daily - you have to request it. Same thing if you run out of any times like clean towels etc - you have to request it to be brought. So no daily cleaning service which I think should just be the norm anyway. I had to request towels once over 5 nights, and they arrived within 10 minutes or requesting so didn't need to wait at all. Both husband and I had to work during our stay and both of us need high speed internet and VPN access. Thankfully both of us were able to connect with no issues on our first day here. Second day wasn't as smooth but it wasn't too bad either. The connection went down 3 times our second day - one early in the AM for about 5 to 10 minutes or so, and twice midday, each maybe a minute. Neither of us were in meetings so it worked out, slight annoyance but wifi can have issues even at your own home too and at least they were able to fix it quickly. The wifi was top notch in terms of speed and was able to handle two VPNs. There's a ton of storage in the room of course if you're here to stay for some time. The bed is average in terms of comfort level, I thought it wasn't bad but husband didn't like it. Pillows are average too. The kitchen really has everything you'd need and expect. Finally, the hotel is right across from Indian cultural center. It was temporarily closed due to the pandemic while we were here, sadly. So if you're in Albuquerque and in need of a place to stay, I'd recommend you consider this spot. read more

While the hotel room itself was nice, the employees, particularly management, were incredibly unhelpful/rude and not accommodating until we started to bring out bags out of the room to change hotels. My husband and I were planning to stay for a 3 month extended stay for work purposes and had an issue with the room rates upon arriving. Management promised to reach out to us regarding this issue and failed to do so until we were quite literally leaving. The only helpful employee was the night check-in guy, we unfortunately did not get his name. read more
