Booked one night's stay as we like to be near the airport rather than drive 90 mi from up north when visiting mom. Property is older but very clean. I really like that parking is included and not an extra charge like some hotels. We were located near a Target and lots of restaurants as well. Our room was located on the 12th floor and it was busy as the last ever Gathering of Nations was taking place at the fairgrounds. The employees whom helped us were very nice and efficient and checked up on us with a phone call once we got settled in our room. As for the room itself, it was perfect for what we needed. We had a great view of the city. The only cons we had was the HVAC system was not working properly. The room was very stuffy and no matter what temp we lowered it to (went all the way down to 60) the A/C did not kick in). The fan was working but not blowing any cold air (the hallway's A/C was working). I reported it to the front desk upon check out. The other item was the shower's knobs were located on the opposite side of the shower head and I had never seen that before. It was very awkward as the glass sliding door does not open on the side with the shower head. I felt that it was unsafe as you turn on the water but cannot feel the temp of the water cause it is on the other side. Overall, stay was good and it was pretty quiet other than hearing a couple of guests out in the hallway. I would stay here again if in the area. read more

Very cool and nice 17 story newer hotel in the near Albuquerque downtown with full bar and a small restaurant and indoor pool. They gave us free WiFi and two water bottles but no microwave oven in the room and no mini refrigerator. What sets this place apart from every other hotel is that they have quiet rooms with concrete floors and thick walls. You don't hear much of anything. The AC controls are very functional and WiFi connection is flawless. The staffs treated us nicely since we are Bonvoy Gold Member. Pretty decent hotel IMO! read more

Always love a Marriott, this one is in a great location near the nice uptown area of Albuquerque that has a multitude of shops and food/restaurants. Check in was quick and easy, all the staff were friendly and very helpful. Seemed like they had a fair amount of security present which was nice but I'm not sure if something was going on or if that's normal in this area. The hotel is clean overall and the rooms were perfect. The pool is nice and has an outdoor and indoor area. Only small issue is they did not have our king bed we booked and we had the double beds instead. Other than that have no complaints, would definitely stay again! read more

The rooms were very clean and spacious. They also had cool indoor/outdoor pool. I enjoyed my stay here. Stayed two nights on the weekend. Got a room with two double beds to stay with our daughter and her fiancée for a weekend trip. Marriott is the higher end of the brand's hotel so I expect more. Double beds are too small, they should offer double QUEEN SIZE beds. We came Friday night and left Monday morning and the concierge lounge is CLOSED. I have stayed at other Marriott hotels where with your room key you can go in the lounge and grab drinks is and snacks. Here if it is not during STAFF HOURS you can't go in! Really sucks when you are TITANIUM with the brand and can't use your benefits! No reason not to allow key card access 24/7. read more

Takes a lot for me to write a bad review. But I paid extra for 2 double beds during the Balloon Fiesta week ($615 for TWO nights!!). Only to check in to my room to find one bed and a couch. Talk to the front desk who claim they had a request for a single bed on my reservation. Why would I pay extra for 2 beds to end up asking for 1? Then they say it's because I chose "first come first serve" at check in. What does that even mean? Why wouldn't I get the room I RESERVED? Then they offer a rollaway bed. No apology, acknowledgement of the mess up, or offer for reimbursement of the difference in price. I said I'd prefer a room with the 2 beds I paid for as I had my 4 month old son and my 63 year old mother. They said they were sold out, which means they sold my 2 bed room to someone else. Then they say they can't refund me because I booked through a 3rd party and would have to go through them. So I did. They had to contact the hotel on my behalf and the supervisor offered restaurant vouchers... Which I didn't take. Still no apology or acknowledgement of the mess up and no real solution. I won't name his name, but the guy that checked me in and that I talked to about the issue was completely unhelpful, unfriendly, and could not have cared less at what was going on. Not to mention 3 of the 4 elevators were malfunctioning/not operating at check in during an extremely busy weekend, and our AC unit barely kept the room cool enough to not sweat when turned all the way on high at the lowest temperature. Definitely will never stay here again when there is a Hilton and Sheraton right up the street. I do not recommend, at all. Also adding to this that I discovered I have a $32 charge on my card from them when I purchased nothing there and only gave my card for the deposit. Just an awful ran hotel. read more

The hotel is a filthy pit with poorly trained frontline staff. I understand that hotels see a lot of hard use. But what I saw at this property were housekeeping staff who aren't given enough time to clean rooms properly. From the dust covered wall art in the bathroom to the mildew in the shower to the filth covering the intake for the air conditioning unit, the rooms screamed of neglect. Several colleagues changed rooms due to problems including ants and with dog urine which was ignored. The front desk manager, Ryan, could care less but it would be very difficult since his professionalism is minimal to begin with. He's not solution oriented probably because all the hotels sell out during the balloon fiesta. His rude and dismissive his attitude was reflected by many of his direct reports. Someone on his team released packages that were in my name to a colleague who ran into in the lobby discussing the extra boxes that weren't hers with a third person. I only mention it because it high lights the lack of professionalism exhibited by the front desk. read more

We were staying at the Hyatt down the street but the room was so bad we left after the first night. Colin at the front desk of the Marriott saved us by checking in a little bit early. The room he gave us is awesome. Clean and an open design that makes the room feel larger. No walls dividing the room and smells as clean as it looked. The bathroom was large enough to move around in with a huge sink. I loved it. We will only stay at this hotel while in Albuquerque from now on. Hopefully we will be able to see Collin again. read more

We stayed two nights at uptown Louisiana Marriot 4/9-11/26. Pros: Experience was overall nice. Got to swim. Room was clean. One nice check in lady gave us a nice high view after hearing rough week we had To be nice. The pizza in their restaurant was amazing and the fries. Enjoy that the rooms are soundproof and we don't hear anyone stomping around Cons: The room was sprayed so strongly with fabuloso there was no way to air out cleaner smell. Im Pregnant so it's really bad to smell so strongly. Their coffee machine max was inaccurate for cup size provided and overflowed. All I had was their white towels to clean up as hosuekeeeping don't speak English. I used a hand towel to clean it so that I wouldn't leave them a mess of overflowed coffee. Instead I got charged $40 for "cleaning up my mess with their towel" which is actually easy to bleach and clean out as I told them immediately while checking out a bit early read more

Booked through Hotels.com because it ended up being cheaper than using Marriott points and membership. On our way back from an excellent vacation, we stopped for one night. The hotel's entrance and decor are modern and beautiful, especially for a high-rise. An unusual experience, possibly due to unfamiliarity with the area, was seeing guards, police, and the manager at the entrance during check-in. It felt a bit excessive, but I assume it's for safety. The bar, located at the entrance, was packed around 9 p.m. Up in our room .... It was spacious, clean, and comfortable overall. However, the TV stand had a piece peeling off, likely from wear and tear, which was a bit unexpected. The bed was comfortable, and as always, I loved Marriott's sheets--they're incredibly cozy! Unfortunately, after some not-so-great Mexican food, one of us became ill and needed to request a new comforter at 4 a.m. The front desk was very accommodating and helped us out, allowing us to get a few more hours of sleep. Given the experience, I'm glad we only stayed for one night. There was no on-site parking, and every nearby parking spot had signs indicating the hotel wasn't responsible for vehicles--this felt a bit unwelcoming & unsafe. read more

I came to stay here for work and while the location was convenient, that was the only positive. I arrived late due to multiple flight delays and 8 hours of travel starving. The hotel didn't have a restaurant, gift shop OR vending machine. Nothing. I expect a Marriott chain to offer SOMETHING to its guests. I went to check in and was not recognized for being Bonvoy or offered any water etc. My room was across from an ice machine that must've been having seizures because it was literally shaking the entire floor and causing the loudest racket. Then the AC screen was broken so you have no way to change the temp or even know what the temp is in the room. I plugged my phone into the outlet and went to bed only to wake up and realize I had missed my alarm and over slept for work because the electrical outlet was BROKEN and didn't work. The room was dirty and outdated with popcorn ceilings. I emailed the manager and never got any response so obviously this hotel does not care about its customers or keeping this location up to date. read more

Shockingly Poor Service - Marriott Should Be Embarrassed by This Property I've stayed 1,288 nights at Marriott properties around the world and hold Titanium Elite status, and I can confidently say this is one of the worst Marriott hotels I've ever experienced. First issue: air conditioning didn't work. I gave it seven hours to cool the room before calling for help. The response? There was no management, no engineers, and no housekeeping staff on duty after 10 PM--at what's supposed to be a full-service Marriott. That alone is unacceptable for a hotel flying the Marriott flag. When I reported the issue, I was told no King rooms were available, and rather than offering a transfer to a nearby Marriott (standard hospitality practice), they flat-out refused to relocate me. Instead, I was downgraded to a room with twin beds--a ridiculous "solution" for someone who stays loyal to the brand and qualifies as a Titanium Elite guest. The property itself is old, tired, and neglected. The rooms feel dated, the hallways are gloomy, and the whole place runs like it has no leadership. And don't be fooled by the promise of an "Executive Lounge." The food offering was a joke--warm pita bread as the featured appetizer and chips and salsa that tasted like it came from a gas station. This is below Courtyard level, let alone a full-service Marriott. Bottom Line: This hotel is poorly managed, understaffed, and in serious need of renovation. It fails to meet even basic Marriott standards, let alone the expectations of loyal Bonvoy members. Avoid this property entirely--there are far better hotel options in Albuquerque that won't waste your time or loyalty. read more

Constantly bad service. Ryan Rymarz, front office manager, was very confrontational and rude. I tried to stay here and I left. I can't understand how Marriott allows such terrible service. There are so many nice places to stay in Albuquerque and this is not it. Albuquerque is a wonderful place. The history, the food, the vistas; don't let a bad night ruin your visit because of an unpleasant experience at Marriott. I stayed at this location for a conference. The front desk demanded a $50 PER NIGHT deposit, paid in advance before I could check in. I was alone and am 67 years old. I am on social security and had not been told a deposit was expected. They charged my account, and I asked when the deposit would be returned. The front desk said it would be returned at check out. At check out I was told it would be returned in 2 or 3 days. It is now day 12, still no return of the deposit. I have called the venue and was transferred to voice mail in "accounting." Still no call back after leaving three messages. It is obvious that corporate is utilizing money from patrons for short term investment and will return the deposit when they darn well please. This is actually the third time I have had a bad experience here. I wouldn't stay there, but that is where the conference was booked. I'm stuck. I think next year I will foot the bill for an AirBnB instead. This has been a bad experience. People should have to bet to get THEIR OWN MONEY back. The hotel should be happy to hold a credit card for incidentals NOT CHARGE IN ADVANCE for incidentals that never occurred. Total rip off, as if they didn't charge enough for the rooms in the first place. read more

Great location, close to shopping and restaurants. The customer service is good and the food is standard for a Marriott. This is my second choice while visiting Albuquerque if my favorite (other Marriott property close by) is fully booked. The Ambience is great if you want to work in the lobby. It is very relaxing. Also the pool is indoor/outdoor, and is open all year. The outdoor portion is heated in the winter. It was freezing this visit but the pool was warm. My room was on the top floor with a mountain view and it was beautiful. This time of the year, the mountains were snow-capped. I am not a French Fry lover but they served fries with my Shrimp Tacos and they were delicious. Gourmet-level fries that are cooked and seasoned to perfection. I found myself wanting the fries the next day. The bartenders are friendly and make pretty good drinks. This is my second time staying at this location and it is always busy with guests, so it is popular. Most guests are here on business. I would recommend this location. read more

It was a fairly nice hotel. Very pretty lobby/restaurant area. Nice holiday decorating. Some remodeling/modernization but still popcorn ceilings, etc. Bed way too firm but did choose a room with a couch so I could sleep on that part of the time. Pool was very nice but odd there was no hot tub. I got locked out when I swam into the outside portion of the pool and had to swim back under, which is fine but it was just a rude awakening (very cold, early morning)! Strange no microwave or refrigerator in room. Had two maintenance concerns (light bulb burnt out and toilet not working properly) and both fixed fairly promptly (did have to call about the toilet twice in two hours). Housekeeping was good. Kitchen let us store milk in fridge two nights. Very friendly staff! read more

I like this hotel. Close to superchargers, tap rooms, restaurants, hiking, shopping, etc. Since this hotel is big and in the middle of everything it does get busy. However, busy as it is, someone is always available to help. I have never been turned away from checking in before "time". I have however been advised of not ready yet, and I have to wait. Never more than 30 minutes which is quite acceptable. The rooms are quiet and comfy. The shampoo wow! Could use more decaf teas in the room, but that would be my only complaint. I can't do caffeine, I know this so I always bring my own tea. The little coffee maker makes hot water quickly. When we come to Albuquerque we prefer to stay here because the staff is well trained, quiet and comfortable rooms and the great location. read more

The hotel is conveniently located to the businesses downtown, but that is about all. The hotel presents as one of the more upscale options, but the rooms are worn and run down. I know it was a busy week because of the balloon festival, but the absolutely disinterested desk staff did nothing to smooth over the crowds. I stayed here overnight for a work trip and figured it would be a bit of a splurge. I thought the flagship hotel for the city would be more centrally located but it was relatively close to UNM. I pulled up and there must have been a convention or something because there was 0 parking up close. I don't know what you think of New Mexico sun but it's intense. I had booked a single king bed but for some reason they were unable to fulfill that so I was given complimentary access to the concierge club. My assigned room was ok-it was a little older but kept pretty well. I skipped the M Lounge happy hour but the breakfast the next morning was decent and had a decent view. The gift shop/convenience store is somehow not affiliated with the hotel so I couldn't charge my purchases to the room. I was eager to use the gym but it was pretty small, even the pool was a bit on the smaller side. read more

Amber, Mari, Jessica, Martin, and Trey are true examples of hospitality. I have NEVER felt so welcomed at any hotel in my life. It was my first time visiting Albuquerque or New Mexico and honestly, I NEED to come back. Amber and Mari went beyond by learning to make my friend's and I favorite drink. Both of them, and Jessica were extremely friendly and served us with big smiles, even when the bar was the most popular. At breakfast, Trey kept checking in on us and even found a solution to a special request my friend made because that original request was not possible. Martin was so down to earth and I could tell he is passionate about making guests feel safe and comfortable. Truly appreciate you all. I cannot tell you how much I dislike this hotel. It's sparkly, however, once you're up in your room, it's not good. Doors slam shut. Bathroom has black mold and no fans in bathroom. You take a shower and come out in the room is humid and the windows have dew on them. Sheets had something that looked like a booger on it. Housekeeping came and took away our towels and didn't leave any new ones. In addition, the no new cups left by housekeeping. No discount for multiple nights so if I'm paying $189 a night I think that if you take away my hand towel you should bring back a new one. Now, let's talk the front desk. I've never been treated so poorly at a front desk. Definitely sexism is alive and well at this hotel. Also in bar area. I sat in the bar lobby for 45 minutes and no one came up to me as a woman. All them men around me were addressed by staff to see if they needed anything. Lounges by the pool dirty and I had to dust them off to sit down off. Granted it's February but it's open. And it should be dusted off. Windows are old and you can hear the freeway all night. Also smoking area above pool so great 2nd hand smoke! This has become my go to hotel when I'm in ABQ. It's 10 minutes from the Air Force base and surrounded by good restaurants and shopping. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant has been going through some changes over the last couple months, I think all for the better. There's more variety in the menu and the staff is recovering the from new hire blunders. The boom boom shrimp tacos are my go to but the seasonal menu has some interesting additions. It's a Marriott so you know the rooms are clean and standard. There's also a lounge for elite members that has free breakfast on the 14th floor. I will continue to stay here and highly recommend read more

The worst Marriott property of our 3 week road trip. The front office staff was good. Check in was quick and easy. They gave us the room that we booked. But, that was all that was good at this hotel. The property was old and dated. They did have a lounge for Platinum and above members where breakfast and evening appetizers are served. Soda, juice and snacks were also available in the lounge. The gym was old and dated just like the property. It seemed as if they were at 100% capacity. Parking was hard to find. There are better Marriott properties in the Albuquerque area. read more

Stop at the lovely bat and meet Kyle and Jordan. They are the kindest people you would want to meet and will take care of you after you get off the plane. I told Jordan she was so beautiful and she accepted the compliment with grace. Kyle worked hard keeping guests happy. I wanted to give him my fitbit but I'm too honest for that. He walks three miles in a shift. I had the chicken quesadillas and the cheesecake. It was great and a memory for my father. What the holy heck! Checked in late after a long day's drive to find two armed security guards at the front door. Should that make me nervous or well secured? Well after checking in and heading back to my vehicle to grab the bags, we heard multiple rounds of gunfire. What? And then again. So we did not stay at this property. We spent a Friday night here while passing through Albuquerque on our road-trip. Easy access from I-40, mall across the street, plenty of restaurants nearby from which to choose. We parked in a lit spot, plenty of spaces in the lot. The lobby felt inviting and we were greeted warmly by a nice young man who I think was very ready to assist with bags had we needed it. Friendly and quick check-in by super pleasant Holly, plus a phone call to our room to make sure all was well. Indeed, it was. Updated room, with the usual Marriott accoutrements such as coffee (I appreciated the shelf-stable half & half instead of the standard Coffeemate) and fridge. Bed very comfy, just the right degree of firmness. Had no noise issues but we always put on a noise app. Climate control worked perfectly (we just came from four nights at a hotel where it did not.) Headed out early so we didn't sample food or drink but we wouldn't have any problems returning. read more

When you walk into the building you immediately are hit with a pleasant, mild citrus scent. The employees are quite helpful and friendly. The lobby was hopping with veterans who were attending a weekend conference. There was also a special event in one of their ballrooms. We did have a delicious cocktail at the very busy bar. We found the beds very comfortable and it was very quiet the two nights that we stayed there on the 10th floor. We were a bit disappointed that we didn't get a complimentary breakfast, however, they did have hot coffee downstairs first thing in the morning. You could order breakfast downstairs, but we did find it was a bit pricey. We did miss having a refrigerator and failed to ask if they could provide one. Most places will put a refrigerator in the room if you request it. Also, there was no microwave but we at the time did not need one. All in all we would stay there again in a pinch! read more
