Really enjoyed my stay here! I was at the Crowne Plaza for 4 nights and had no complaints at all. My room was clean and spacious, and it looked up-to-date as well. The best part about this hotel is the location. The beach is right across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby too. Definitely a great place to stay for tourists, but unfortunately not cheap (~$250 AUD per night). You're paying for being in a tourist hot spot though. It's also about 20 minutes from Sydney Airport/downtown Sydney. The only hiccup during my stay was at the beginning during check-in. I was hoping to get my hotel room earlier since I had been on the plane for 15 hours, but I ended up having to wait quite a while. Not the hotel's fault though since it was before the check-in time, but just giving you Yelpers a heads up if you were hoping to check in earlier. It's a pretty popular hotel and check out isn't until noon. By the way, the Bluesalt Restaurant for breakfast is awesome. Great assortment of food, made to order eggs, and freshly squeezed juice.

This was an excellent hotel that faces the ocean and Coogee beach. The hotel has an excellent location just a few minutes walking distance form Wylie Pools and the other ocean pools. The best rooms are in the the higher floors and provide a great ocean view. The pool was nicely heated and there was also a gym on site. The bathrooms were a bit narrow and could use some remodeling, but overall the rooms were nice. The hotel is also located within walking distance of several restaurants, a small Woolworths supermarket, a chemist, bakery, gelato shop, dominos pizza, mcdonalds, and other convenient shops. The buffet breakfast is great value, and I would recommend that you get a hotel rate that includes it. The selection icnludes eggs benedict and omelettes made to order, pancakes, cereals, a selection of hot foods (even American bacon), fruit, spreads, bread, delicious baked croissants and danishes.

The Royal Hall of Industries is a massive venue, with vaulted ceilings and heritage windows. I went here for a corporate Christmas party with a guestlist of around 1,500 people. Sure, it was a bit crowded, but there was still a sufficient amount of room to move around from one end of the room to the other. As with most corporate events, the alcohol was flowing freely, filling up my bladder faster than I could keep up. Luckily, the bathrooms are huge, meaning that you won't have to wait. This place is beautiful from the outside and the interior is the perfect blank slate for any grandiose occasion.
