There's also a link to a tracker that tells you how long until they're ready for you. So I drove all the way back home and waited until the tracker said 30-45 mins left and then I drove back over. When I got there it said I had 30 minutes. I was totally fine waiting in my car until they're ready for me. The lobby was really packed anyways. About a couple minutes later, I receive a text saying they're ready for me at kiosk 3. Cool, so I immediately go inside. I was just right in the parking lot so it only takes me a few seconds to get inside. I locate station 3 and walk over but there are a couple people there already. I look at the board that shows who is up next and I don't see my name. I take a seat and wait for the next rep to open up. While I do that I pull up the tracker and now it says I have "missed my visit". When the next rep goes up I explain that I was suppose to be next at station 3 but there was someone there. The lady at the next station tells me that they called my name and since I didn't show up they moved onto the next person. I explained that I was waiting in the parking lot until I got the text and then I immediately came inside. It had literally been less than a minute. I had the text that showed that. The lady said when they're busy they call your name and if you're not there they moved on. Okay, fine. But I should be next then right? No. She said it was too bad and I would have to join the queue again. I'm completely shocked that they would do that. What is the point of having a text sent if by the time you walk inside it's no longer valid. Luckily the lady at the station I went to decided to help me and she was very nice and professional but the one at the station next to her was as just so unpleasant and did not care whatsoever. I would never recommend this place. Just go to the regular dmv. Way cheaper and honestly you'll get in way faster. This place use to be express but not anymore.

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles does not accept credit cards, but they do accept money orders and cash. I made an appointment online, and I was shocked that I could make a same-day appointment. When I arrived, I was the only client; I signed in to their digital kiosk and was immediately called. Their staff was professional and courteous. I got my vehicle's title in less than five minutes! I was relieved and happy to experience a transparent and efficient government agency.

Both times have been to get the title to a car (separate cars) that I own. Why I always lose the titles when I have them is beyond me, but also my fault lol. Both times have been in and out. I made it very clear what I was coming in for because my mom was going to be out of town. Every single time, I was told that I did NOT need her there and that everything would be fine. So I show up with my grandma, after taking time out of our day and arranging transportation, only to suddenly be told the exact opposite. Apparently now I did need my mom there. What makes this even worse is the way the employees handled it. Instead of admitting they gave incorrect information, they talked down to me, acted annoyed, and basically tried to make me sound stupid for following the instructions THEY gave me in the first place. It honestly felt like they were trying to gaslight me into believing I misunderstood them when I had asked repeatedly to avoid this exact situation. The incompetence and lack of professionalism here is unreal. If the employees don't even know the requirements for something as basic as issuing a license, maybe they shouldn't be giving people information in the first place.
