Basement systems Vancouver installed a cleanspace crawl space encapsulation, rigid R10 insulation in the rim joint around the perimeter of the home and air sealed all gaps and seams. A Dehumidifier was installed. The work was done as scheduled, on time, and as described with a high level of professionalism. The team was excellent and we are very pleased with the result. Based on our excellent experience, we will be using this company again in the near future for another home that has a similar crawl space issue.

The issue and concern we have with Foundation Restoration is a lack of transparency. We had 32 posts replaced under our house and were given a "lump sum" estimate that we signed and agreed to. It was communicated to us that the work would take place from 10/31-11/2 (roughly 3 days). The job wrapped up yesterday and in total it only took them one full day and 3/4 of another. We received our invoice this morning which literally just had a one-sentence description of the work followed by the remaining balance. I appreciated their promptness in getting us an email and requested that we see an itemized breakdown of how our $8k+ job was delineated. All I was looking for was to see how much of the $8K+ was going to labor and how much was going to materials. After three different exchanges, they are still refusing to give any information. Our house was flooded last year and over the course of 8 months repairing our home, we have worked with numerous companies. EVERY company we have worked with has at minimum given us a breakdown of labor and material costs. I'm frustrated because I genuinely believe the cost for our project was estimated significantly higher than the actual cost and Foundation Restoration is unwilling to specify their labor/material costs so they can hide behind a "lump sum" estimate. For these reasons, I would NOT recommend Foundation Restoration.

I hired M.L. Enviro to waterproof and texture surface the two north facing decks on my East…read moreVancouver home and paid a cash deposit of $750.00. From the start the crew and the owner (Mauricio) seemed very disorganized (no broom, no towels, no poly, ect.) The crew seemed to be very inexperienced and trying to learn on the job without much guidance. The crew made a huge mess in every location. We have glue and flecks all over the black aluminum railing (this railing is new) which do not come off. The crew spread flecks all over the side of the house as much as 12 inches above the deck surface. These flecks do not come off. They spilt or walked through solvent and then onto my painted cedar stairs, stripping the paint off of every stair. They put on shoes covered in adhesive while standing on my front deck and spread adhesive and flecks all over the front entrance. They made mistake after mistake: - wrong colour on the top deck (see picture) - spread adhesive and flecks onto the railing (see picture) - spread adhesive and flecks onto the side of house (see picture) - product looks nothing like the sample (see picture) - decks not water proofed (see picture) - product very thin compared to sample (see picture) - mess in the yard and shed took 4 hours to clean up after Maurizio had already said he was coming (waited 3 extra days without a call) - flecks coming off of both decks (Maurizio says to fix in the Spring) In the Spring? We live in this house and use those decks. (According to him this was suppose to take a couple of days not months) - yard and house and fence and flashing and BBQ cover have the flecks all over them - many large spots with no coverage of any material (nothing like the sample) - seams on main floor deck filed with material then adhesive applied and then texture leaving very high ridges on every seam (stops water from flowing off deck) - flashing on main floor deck not sealed - flashing on main floor deck applied so high and then application on top even higher that decks now pool water 1/2 inch deep - water pooling on top deck due to uneven texture application - flashing adhesive on top deck disturbed by the heat torch used has now caused the flashing to lift and pooled water to drain under the flashing and has caused water damage on the main floor When I brought these concerns to the owner, he said "you are overreacting can't work with people like this" The job that was done was incompetent and unprofessional. Then the owner accused me in text message of starting the job too late in the season (How would I know if it was too late?) and then that I wanted the job done cheap when all I asked him after I receive the quote was whether he could do a cash price, which he agreed to before the job was started. My yard still has a pile of garbage that I had to collect a month later (see picture) To correct the mistakes that have been made by M.L Enviro and the damage done by their poor craftsmanship I'm going to have to spend either thousands of dollars or tons of my own hours. I told the owner that I wanted a full refund of the deposit. (Which won't even get close to the professional removal and cleanup costs) He responded that the money was already spent. Do not hire this company for anything!!!!!
