This travel agency is amazing. I've booked quite a few cruises with them, my most recent a Disney Cruise. From the second I inquired about the cruise, I was so well advised of every step of the process. What was better, it seems all of the staff knew exactly who I was. Maureen and Danielle were my main contacts, but Adam, Eileen, and Leo were also great. I always like to put a face to the names of the people I deal with, and this was no exception. When I made payments, I opted to go there but I had my kids. Not only did they not have a problem with my kids, they played with them and showed pictures of their grandkids! It was great to see such a close knit, family atmosphere. Anyone who has dealt with Disney for the first time can understand the process is a bit overwhelming. I asked for quite a bit of advice going in, and was never turned away or made to feel like a nuisance. When I finally got to the pier and was ready to board, I found I pretty much already knew what I was doing, and the excursions onboard were a breeze. I can't thank everyone at Cruise Concepts enough for helping make such a memorable vacation for my family. We have been using cruise concepts for well over 30 years . There are so many reasons for this. Leo, Eileen and Adam have been there for us on so many occasions that it is just too much to list. they have helped out on family emergencies with airplane flights as well as lost airline tickets ,hotel snafus and also providing top notch advise on what to see and do at many ports of call. Run don't walk away from this part-time Mom and Son operation. We had booked our cruise directly with the cruise line and at the urging of friends, turned the reservation over to Cruise Concepts. With that name you would assume they were specialist in cruise vacations. This turned out to be a mistake for a variety of reasons and the impact on our vacation was the least of the issues. In a time when many people are now booking their own travel, you would think given the chance, someone in the service business would go out of their way to provide customer service. With our cruise leaving from storm ravaged Puerto Rico and our need to change our original plans due to the lack of operational hotel accommodations, we felt that by not cancelling our reservation, the cruise line might be inclined to offer additional benefits to the loyal customers who remained committed to the cruise. Even though we are members of the cruise lines loyalty club, they made it clear that any conversation regarding this issue now needed to go through the travel agent and not us directly. This is when the issues began....it was 4 days before the owner responded to our correspondence regarding this question. After this prolonged time (not even an acknowledgement that she received our email), we were told that there was nothing that the cruise line was willing to do for us. We then asked them to arrange airport/port transfers (again because the cruise line said that we needed to make the arrangements through our travel agent) and we also waited for 2 days for a response and it was not addressed until I reached out again. This was followed by a call to me from the owner's son who works there part-time that began with screaming about how we are harassing them and that we need to understand that they are a small company. After this tirade, he told me that he was sorry that his friend suggested that we use them and never wants to hear from us again. This is someone in the service business. He need not worry because there is zero chance that we would make this mistake again. Of course, my husband followed up to better understand why he felt the need to scream at me and he echoed to him most of what he said to me and trust me that didn't go well. He also said that his mother was on vacation and unfortunately, no one was checking her emails, but they would fix that issue going forward. By the end of their conversation, I think he finally understood what service means, but for us it is too late. The bottom line, if I wanted a part-time travel agent, I would continue to do it myself. read more

We booked an all inclusive hotel in Cancun for April 2019 a year in advanced with Cruise Concepts Inc, because they are a local company and I like giving local companies my business. We put down $1000 deposit so we could pay off the trip throughout the year. When airfare came out, for the week of my vacation I was floored at the SURGE pricing. We are not going to spend that kind of money on a SURGE pricing flight to get to Cancun. The flights a week before my vacation week was almost $800 cheaper. So I wanted to cancel my trip. I checked the Hotel website to see what their cancellation policy was and they have a 100% refund if canceled before 30 days from the reservation date. Since we are almost 6 months from our vacation dates, I called Cruise Concepts to get a refund. They said they can only refund me $500. They blamed a "TOUR BOOKING" company and said because they booked through a TOUR that I could only get a $500 refund. As you can imagine, I was not pleased. I was willing to give them Cruise Concepts the $250 cancellation fee which is clearly marked on their invoice. But I could not understand why the additional $250, especially since I booked an All Inclusive Hotel and not a TOUR. Cruise Concepts said there is nothing they could do, and the TOUR GROUP would do nothing for us. They said they used a TOUR GROUP because they have the best rates! Guess what, I could have booked directly with the hotel and received the same exact rates! Cruise Concepts said they could move my dates, ok great, GUESS WHAT, they wanted to charge me almost $800 more for the dates I requested. Again, I went to the hotel website and requested a quote, and received the same exact rates as I was quoted from Cruise Concepts. So this whole best rates from a TOUR GROUP is a bunch of BS. After a lot of dealing with Cruise Concepts, I received only a $500 credit. I am writing to let everyone know, that if you are going to use CRUISE CONCEPTS to book a vacation, get all cancellations policies in writing, because if you have a problem and are expecting any kind of customer service from this business you will not receive any sort of service at all. I guess this is why travel agencies are becoming a thing of the past. I have learned my lesson. Never again will I use Cruise Concepts or a travel agent. I always thought that if I booked a vacation that I should do it on my own, but this time I chose Cruise Concepts to book my Viking Cruise. The cost was less expensive and better service than dealing directly with Viking. Other passengers on our trip were continually complaining about their poor communication with Viking, but all we could do was praise Maureeen from Cruise Concepts, for doing a great jos and really communicating with us on all areas. read more
