We've taken this dolphin cruise three times and always the sunset cruise. One time we saw lots of dolphins surfing the wake and one time a quick glance of a dolphin but always a great boat ride and the captain try's really hard to find them on radar or by keeping in touch with the other dolphin cruises. We will do this cruise again and again. They have me a Veterans discount and one day I guess I'll get a senior citizen discount too. lol. We brought wine and cheese and sat on the upper deck at the front so had a flat surface like a table to set our snacks. Great cruise and worth every penny. read more

We went on the 5:00 cruise. Arriving we were greeted by a pleasant woman who explained what would happen, very well organized. We were early so we got some margaritas from the Tiki Bar which were very good and reasonable in cost. Time came to board the boat and again it was well organized and we were on our way. The Captain did an introduction and then played the theme song from Gilligan's Island which was a nice touch. The cruise was pleasant and we found the dolphins about 45 minutes into the cruise. The captain was able to get them to swim with the boat jumping and playing the wake, it was a great experience and the crew made it a memorable one. read more

Would be five stars but the bathroom doesn't lock. Despite keeping my hand on the knob as I used the bathroom, someone walked in on me on the toilet. One of the workers made a comment about knowing that the door didn't lock. It would be really helpful to get a new lock for the door so it doesn't happen to anyone else. My family went on this cruise on a Thursday afternoon. We reserved/confirmed our tickets via Trip Advisor. The process was easy and I was provided with a lot of good info before the trip. When we arrived, there was plenty of parking. We checked in at a little outside booth and were provided a few more quick instructions. If everyone arrived early, the boat would leave early. Our boat left right on time. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. They do have snacks and drinks on board for purchase (bags of chips/dip n dots). The captain stopped and pointed out dolphins when he saw them. The trip was about 2 hours and we got our fill of dolphin sightings! Side note: We weren't sure if we would need closed-toe shoes for this, but we didn't. read more

My husband and I LOVED this cruise! Neither one of us had ever been on a dolphin cruise so we weren't sure what to expect! This cruise was so amazing! We saw lots of dolphins and they were so fun and playful and we got several great videos of them jumping behind the boat. We saw a boat from another company out on the water at the same time we were and they didn't seem to be putting in as much effort into getting the dolphins to "play" with them. The captain of Cruise OB really put in a lot of effort to make sure we saw the dolphins jumping in the waves! They have drinks and other refreshments for sale during the cruise. The grandson of one of the workers took my order for a snack and he was really sweet and professional for being so young! We usually visit the beach once a year or so and we have both already said we want to take another dolphin cruise with Cruise OB! read more

I took my 86 year old mom and two daughters on the cruise. We had a great time. Plenty of room to sit inside the boat, or on the top level. Great viewing of dolphins. We saw several jumping the wake of the boat and then saw 3 - 4 at the bow of the boat. Looks like they were racing the boat. I would recommend this trip for anyone. Well worth it. read more

My wife and I took an impromptu sunset dolphin cruise on Wednesday, September 18 with Cruise Orange Beach. Best idea we could have had! We took the upper level to sit and this, in my opinion, is the best place to sit. Open air and a great view of the water and dolphins. We saw an adequate amount of dolphins but were not disappointed by not seeing a lot. It's a big bay and Gulf and dolphins do what they want to do. The best part was just enjoying the ride and going out on the Gulf and getting some ocean breeze. We also enjoyed talking with our fellow cruise mates. We met some nice folks. Definitely worth the time and would highly recommend taking a cruise. read more

I had never done a dolphin tour before so when our family booked one, I had little expectations other than to see a dolphin. Well it took us about 20 min to get out of the wake area and then we cruised and started to pick up the pace. We had a water battle with another ship, which was a lot of fun. Then we started to pick up speed at which the dolphins started to follow us. They were racing with us it seemed. This lasted all of maybe 5 minutes and those were the only dolphins we saw. Then we went and looked at some area where you could snorkel and came back and docked at around 1:05 even though the booking was from 11:30-1:30. And we didn't get a chance to touch a blue crab or anything of that sort. Honestly, you're paying for a boat ride and nothing more. Don't expect much, but there's a chance you will get seasick with the motion. It's fun, and something you can do once and call it a day. read more

Fun adventures in Gulf Shores! My friends and I took a 3, 6, and 9 year old and they all enjoyed both the boat ride and seeing the dolphins. We went on the 4:30 sailing and it was a relaxing ending to a beach and pool day. Bring a small cooler of drinks and snacks! The deckhands were helpful and nice. Incidentally it is recommended to tip the deckhands. There are two deckhands and you will probably want to tip them around $10 each at least. You can just give a $20 as it appears they pool their tips. read more

We were late arriving. We got a call from the company asking if we were on our way. I had made reservations days in advance and even got a reminder email. We had trouble finding the "pay station" which is by the tiki hut by the peer. The dolphin ride was perfect! The weather was overcast. We went on the 6pm cruise so we could see the sun begin to set. We did get to battle a pirate ship with squirt guns! Kids loved that. We looked for Dolphins countless times and saw a few here and there. Finally the captain hit the jackpot and we found a group of three or four playing in the water. The cruise ships all seems to work together when looking for Dolphins. Our deck hand was awesome! Took a group pic of us and even gave my spouse a free *sudsy beverage*. Our ship wasn't crowded like some of the others who looked packed on like sardines. Be prepared to get wet from the wave mist and wake, but also be prepared to sit back and enjoy the ride. Excellent 2 hour trip! We'll be back! read more

Family owned and operated they truly enjoy what they do and make sure everyone has the absolute best experience possible. I understand that finding dolphins is not guaranteed but the way this cruise conducted themselves was unacceptable. We departed at 6:00 pm to look for dolphins. The captain was more entertained with messing with other ships than he was looking for dolphins. He decided to turn around at 6:35 to head back in. We found one dolphin on the way back and decided that was enough. He docked us at 7:30. Over 30 mins of wasted cruise time that we paid for. Not only that but they have increased prices and charged a extra fuel charge. To dock 30 mins early and not enjoy the sunset on the boat was completely unacceptable. We will not be back and will not be recommending this cruise to anyone. Look elsewhere if you want to see dolphins and get the most out of your money. read more

My daughter and I went on this trip on Wednesday. One of the best days of our trip. The crew was extremely friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and great at their jobs. They offered to take pictures for everyone, the boat was very clean, and nice! The captain knew the area well and we saw dolphins from the minute we left until the minute we returned. He worked with other boats to cause a wake, which then caused the dolphins to follow the boats and jump in the wake. I would take this trip again a thousand times. Great times, not to be missed!! Seriously awesome experience. We went on a dolphin cruise yesterday morning and couldn't have been more satisfied. We scheduled the 9am tour and it departed right at 9. The dolphins weren't in their usual locations but the captain kept cruising around until we found them. We had a group of 11 of us (including 7 kids ranging in age from 10 months-13yrs). Great dolphin cruise. We were on the 2pm Thursday cruise. We only saw a few dolphins on the day we went but the cruise itself was great! The Captain tried to find dolphins and was fun and entertaining. We had one dolphin follow us for a while in our wake. The lady who was the deck hand was very nice and offered to bring us drinks they had for sale. They had hermit crabs in a bucket for the kids to play with and water shooters the kids used to try and hit some of the jellyfish in the water. The adults enjoyed seeing the beautiful beach homes along the coast and the captain told us about the area. Do not promise your kids a water fight with another boat. That only happens if there is another boat out at the same time you are. I would recommend this activity for your family! read more
