So this place is very to the point. It's water and fun. It has a lazy river that is 3 feet throughout the path. Then you have your slides to choose from. Of course, there are food options available, but be mindful of eating and throwing things away in a timely manner because of the birds. Outside of that, it was a great experience. We were excited to visit Waterville while vacationing in Orange Beach with our family. The staff at check-in were friendly, and the park looked like it had potential for a great day. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We paid over $250 to spend just a few hours at the park before storms rolled in around 2:30 p.m. By about 4:00, the skies had cleared--but the park never reopened. With two full hours left in the published schedule, and clear weather outside, the day was over. I reached out to management, which is when the situation really took a turn for the worst. Their proposal - a rain check for a future visit. Problem is--we came all the way from Colorado. A "come back next time" credit just isn't helpful when you've spent that kind of money and have no plans to return. We've visited waterparks in multiple states--Arizona, Texas, Colorado--and have never experienced this kind of early closure after a storm passed. Most parks resume operations when it's safe. Not here. Beyond that: You're not allowed to bring in your own water, which is a challenge on hot Alabama days. Several lifeguards at the wave pool seemed more focused on chatting and flirting than on guest safety. The park itself feels a bit rundown and in need of investment. This may once have been the place to go in Orange Beach. But based on our experience, I'd suggest exploring other options for your family day. There are better values--and more responsive customer service--elsewhere. Incidentally, I made numerous attempts to resolve this issue with management, to no avail. They were unwilling to help and (eventually) completely unresponsive. read more

We went to Waterville USA we did not do the water park. We were very disappointed in the golf area. It should be called funky golf!! Nasty water areas greens wore out and uneven no personality at each hole I did not even finish the game. The arcade was not appealing employees looked bored to death! However we liked the go cart area. I recommend it for the go carts!! Must be 4 ft 10 inches to drive your own go cart. My Grandaughter loved it. During a recent family trip here, we had a great time. We paid approx 36 per person which I found to be affordable. As other reviewers mentioned, you can't bring in spray suncreeen, but they have them at the front for you to use, as needed. Or just bring in the lotion. We came on a Sat and I was surprised it wasn't crazy packed. I was also pleasantly surprised this place wasn't huge. We found an awesome spot in the corner, by the wave pool, under huge umbrellas, and set up shop for our family of 10 people. We had considered reserving a cabana but thought the setup was not worth the cost (150-225) when we saw it. We didn't use the arcade but got drinks at the outside bar. Great spot to chill with a cocktail. Food was reasonably priced and I LOVED that a cup of ice water was only $0.50. I drink a lot of water and love it cod, so this was great. The rides were fun and we had a lot of fun. Would definitely return. read more

Go to Tropic Falls instead! This park is really small, and some of the employees are rude. They do not let you enter with anything but towels pretty much, not even sunscreen. When leaving I expressed how the strict policies where a little excessive for people in my group that have health problems, high blood pressure and diabetes and she replied well if you would have told me, then we would have probably allowed some items since we don't sell them. Covered seating is very limited so you will be sitting in the sun even when you get out the water and want a break from the sun. Restrooms were old and raggedy but clean. Just not a good experience overall bring your patience long lines and waits for a lot of people in such a small park. read more

We went on a Tuesday and there was a small line to get tickets. There are lockers for rental as you enter. Do not bring spray sunscreen! The lines on the rides started building around noon and stayed steady until later in the afternoon. Not many rides to choose from, but there were some good ones. We also did the mini golf, but the course needs to be cleaned off and better maintained. There is also an arcade that is a good place to cool off. Overall, it was a good place, but needs better maintenance and needs to be cleaned up to make it a better visual atmosphere. read more

Reserved tickets and a cabana a week in advance. We arrived and was first in the lot. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. Cabana staff was very friendly and food was reasonably priced. The flow rider girl attendant let her friends/boys cut in line and stay for a long time and she also rode the ride while about 20 people stood in line and watched. The problem is at 2:20 they closed the rides due to weather. At about 3:20 the weather had already cleared up but they closed the park. I checked my radar and weather had gone and it did not rain or storm the rest of the day. Then they gave us a raincheck that you have to use after 3pm so only good for 3 hours. They would not give us a raincheck for the cabana which cost $250. So we used the park for about 4 hours and paid what we we did. This is typical for water parks, if they have a chance to close early after already collecting everyone's money they make more money. Staff, electricity, water etc. It is wrong that we do not get a raincheck for the cabana and longer time at the park. Most of the park is clean but just old. The lazy river had cups and trash floating in it. We are locals and was first time here but will not be back. Owa is much better for around this area. read more

My kids loved everything about this place and honestly I did too. The ticket prices are inexpensive compared to other water parks I've been to so that's a plus! I love the fact that there's something for the whole family to do there... there's a lazy river and a wave pool that the whole family can enjoy, there's a toddler part for the babies, there's a kids part for the bigger kids and then there's a part of the park that even the adults can enjoy.. There is a food spot located inside the water park but I didn't get a chance to try it out. The line was soooo long! Also there are lockers to your right when you first enter the park for your belongings. I really enjoyed this park and wouldn't mind going back soon. read more

I had a horrible experience at Waterville USA in Gulf Shore, AL. The crew was extremely disrespectful and talked to our family like we trash. Then ended up putting us out of the park for being on live (or so they said). There is nothing about being live or on the phone in their rules. When we explained this, they stated due to our rebuttal they would not be refunding our money. Not to mention we had purchased and paid for food that we had yet to receive, which they declined to refund as well. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Yes, you can't bring spray sunscreen (but they have some and you can use lotion if you bring it) and yes the only water they have to drink is 50 cents (BUT refills are free- and it's super cold) and overall it entertained our family for 3 hours!! There was barely any line (we went on a Thursday from 10-1) and the slides were all fun and none of them were extremely scary. Just in gulf shores for vacation, but I would recommend this to everyone!! So glad we made the effort, and we even got to do the flowrider with no line when we first entered the park, which is crazy because it's always at least a 10 min line during the day! Our party of 4 booked the 3:30 escape room using the online booking. We arrived on the property at 3:20 but did not see the sign for the Escape Room due to palm trees. Asked a young person where to go, he gave us vague directions. When we finally arrived at the Escape Room at 3:26, we were informed by the workers that the other party that was doing the 3:30 time had started already and were 3 minutes in. This is by far one of the best waterparks I visited!! This was our second visit here. Last year I was working in Mobile and luckily my husband and daughter were able spend time with me after working. The hotel we were staying in had a brochure for Waterville USA , so we decided to stay an extra day to come to this waterpark and we really enjoyed ourselves!! So it was only right to come back again this year. We enjoy waterparks so much we literally stay from the time they opened until closing. We definitely plan to make this a summer family tradition to visit here. We live about 4 1/2 hours away. My daughter enjoyed everything here especially the waterslides. I can't believe I never heard of this place growing up. I'm guessing it's because I'm not from the area but I'm so glad we found this place. read more

We came here on a Saturday (the busiest day, the Yelpers said) and we had a great time. We are here on vacation from California and we know our water parks! This is a great little park. Our favorite rides were the Dune Racer (I think my daughter went on it 6 or 7 times) and we also loved the Great White and the Gold Rush. Although it was busy, none of the lines took too long. Everything was really efficient and we got to ride everything as much as we wanted to. By 5pm the park had cleared out pretty significantly and you could literally climb right up to the big slides. The wave pool wasn't the best we had ever been in. They don't run the wave maker as often as in other parks we've been to and it also didn't run very long. It was decent. The biggest problem I had was with the size of the inner tubes. They have small holes (which people my size will get stuck in!) and they are so large that people with short stubby limbs like me won't be able to paddle with! Once I got in one I felt like Ralphie's little brother in A Christmas Story-I can't put my arms down! It was a minor annoyance though and my kid got a kick out of seeing me flail around like a fish. The lazy river was awesome. I would prefer more shade along it, but it is what it is. Obviously since you can't bring in food or water, you're going to spend money on that stuff. You can leave and come back though and I saw some people with ice chests out in the parking lot. The food that we had was good. The fries are seasoned and crispy and delicious but they are not at both concession stands in the water park. Also to use credit/debit you have to have a photo ID. One more note about the water park-water shoes are great for walking on the hot concrete/brick but they are not allowed on any of the slides. We also really loved the roller coaster. The wait went quickly and the ride was a lot of fun. We rode it three times. You have a nice view of the marsh from the very top of it. Overall we were very happy with our visit and we plan to return again. read more

The behavior continued. Had to leave because I was so uncomfortable and was denied a refund even though I was only there 2 hours. I have been here twice, in 2020 and 2022 and have had the same experience. The water park is small, and needs a lot of refurbishing. It's a bit run down. The small kids area is nice but that's about it. As others have stated, there are not many water slides and the ones they do have need a lot of work. The prices are ridiculous, and the food is pretty awful, except for the ice cream. Employees seem miserable, especially the poor souls that work the admission booth. Also, no spray sunscreen. Went on a Saturday and was told there was an extra 1$ for being Saturday. Really??? They also check your bag for food on arrival as there is no food allowed in the park. But bottles of water are 3$ and prices for food high. Not to mention the hr long lines. It was terrible. I felt like for the price, this place was sub par. Felt forced to pay high prices for food and drink with their denial of bringing in food and drink. If youre going to deny food and drink on admission, make your food affordable and accessible instead of hr long lines. Now let's talk about bathrooms, disgusting. One bathroom (5stalls), three dressing rooms with one shower. I mean, ONE shower. They just admitted 1000 people, and they have one shower in their bathroom. People were using toilet stalls to change, holding up the lines for those who need to use the bathroom. Bathrooms were unkept for the whole day, no circulation. Hot and humid in there. No TP midday and was not restocked. Rides were fine. But I will not be returning. Too much money for unkept facilities, expensive food w no options. Disappointing. read more

You can't take in spray sunscreen. It seemed like the wave pool didn't have waves for long. You could tell the park wasn't back to full capacity yet because several of the drink stands were closed. There was only one drink/food stand open which means the wait was extremely long. You must have an ID of some kind on you at all times if you plan on purchasing anything with a debit or credit card. I have taken my 11 year old granddaughter to several Escape Rooms, and the Hurricane at Waterville USA has so far been the most exciting, challenging, and definitely our favorite Escape Room! We loved it! The hour flew by. I would recommend this Escape Room to all families and couples that come to Gulf Shores and are looking for something fun and different to do and something that is NOT that is expensive. It was only $25.00 per person and it lasted an hour. If you take your children or grandchildren to the arcades, you will drop $100 within 10 minutes. This is a game that parents and grandparents can play with their families and challenge their minds and really enjoy themselves. We bought three bottles of water for almost 10 dollars, since the park water isn't something we really wanted to drink. We got there early to beat the crowds, and I'm glad we did. By 1PM we were ready to leave. The faculty does do their job, as I saw one lifeguard rescue a small child. Just saying that I know there's only so much I'm interested in doing. Planned the day to be spent here, so we rented a cabana. Excellent decision!! It includes seating for up to 8, two Waterville towels (for you to keep), a free locker and a server that will cater for food, drinks and information!! We survived the Hurricane room. Youngest was 9 and oldest 73. We all had a great time and managed to escape with a few minutes to spare. Clues were fairly hard so it was a challenge but doable. The first room especially was hard. Staff were helpful but not too helpful. Would recommend this escape room for all ages. read more

It's still beautiful weather, and we would definitely purchase tickets... We have spent 3 hours there. Then it became too hot and it was hard to walk from one area to another - feet were literally burning. There are two big areas for kids: one suitable for toddlers and another one for older children who afraid of high water slides, so this is an advantage. The disadvantage is how it is organized: - No spray sunscreen is allowed in the area. You must go outside to apply it. - Water bottles are not allowed as well. - No dedicated dressing rooms. Your only option is the restroom, but there is no shower. - Locker is not accessible from outside. The water slides are good and fun, but nothing extraordinary. The good thing is they are different in length and speed, so one can start from the slowest and then progress. My 7 year old daughter has tried them all. Couple of previous reviewers complained about the staff qualification, but that is expected. Those people aren't professional medical workers or safeguards. They can help you to get on the riding donut and pull you out from the pool with waves if needed, but don't expect too much. We arrived at approximately 1230 and the main slide was broken. I asked the attendant and she said that someone had been dispatched to fix it. 3 hours later, it was back up and going. The wave pool produced NO WAVES though everyone was waiting around for the waves to start. Once they did, there was nothing, so we left there quickly. The drinking water situation there is ridiculous. No drinking water was allowed inside the park and there are no water fountains. The only way to get water is to wait in a ridiculously long line and buy a cup of ice water for 50 cents. I don't have a problem with the cost but it is just not readily accessible. It was 97 degrees and my kids were getting heat exhaustion. The vending machines took cash or change only. There were 2 snack stands open and if wanted ANYTHING expect at least a 20-30 minute wait. The food was horrible. We will NOT be back. The only good thing was the 2 open water slides which despite the ridiculous wait, they enjoyed. read more
