I would have received better service from Expedia ect. Booked a cruise as part of group. My thinking was having a travel agent is better due to the personalized service that we would receive. Everyone in my family booked our cruise with the group number we were given. The cruise is 2 weeks away and we have heard nothing from our travel agent. I assumed giving that group number would ensure that all of our cabins were together...nope we are all scattered throughout the ship. Not that I need my hand held but it would have been nice to receive some type of welcome packet explaining how to check in for the cruise, how to get our rooms together. I am fortunate enough to pay up front if I wanted but decided to make in payments which my travel agent was slow to process. Like months slow. I am thinking for a lot of people just because you had money to make a payment this week and the travel agent didn't process for 2 weeks then it very well could put that person in a hardship. We met Ivan at a Travel Expo in Long Beach and helped arrange one of the best vacations we have taken. It was a twelve day trip to Italy and everything including the tours at each place was organized to perfection. I've recently booked a 4-night cruise vacation from long beach to Mexico with Ivan's help. I want to have a nice vacation with my family including my 2 year old daughter. Cruise seems to be the natural choice as it's the most hassle free way of traveling with a toddler. I've only been on a cruise once many years ago. Just came back from 9 days trip in Norway. We consulted with Ivan before choosing a tour with ScanAm World Tours. Our Norway trip was everything we wanted- great land tours combined with ferries to see the fjords and glaciers. All hotels were wonderful particularly Kviknes at Balestrand. Our tour escort and driver were excellent. Ivan found us good round trip flights and booked pre-tour hotel room for us. We are extremely happy with the quality of service that we received from Jenny and Ivan. They helped my family with a Northern European cruise and we had a blast. We were a little nervous at first because we weren't sure with the visa situation and being in a new country. But, everything was planned out perfectly and well organized that we didn't have any problems at all. I recently booked a 7-day Bermuda cruise on August 23, 2019 with Helen Feng at Cruise Planners. She promised over phone to give me free wifi and bottle water if I booked the cruise from her. In two days after payment, I called her about wifi. She said "NO WIFI" and hanged up the phone (very rude). During several days later, I have called her several times but only answering machine. She never called back. Finally I called her supervisor and asked her to call me back. She called back, but denied her promise of wifi (that is a lie!). Irresponsible person! Ivan and Jenny helped us plan a river cruise on the Rhine. We planned to do it ourselves, but the competing claims and confusing pricing of the cruise lines made it near impossible to figure out. So we contacted Cruise Planners based mostly on their Yelp reviews. It could not have turned out better. Ivan was quick to understand what we wanted to do and were willing to pay. He presented several options that were much better than what we had found online. He handled both our ship and airline reservations. When United messed-up our seating at the last minute, he dropped everything and went to bat for us. He also gave some excellent suggestions for hotels and excursions for our stay in Amsterdam. We dealt mostly with Ivan, but his wife/partner Jenny also stepped in when he was not available. Both are very responsive, informed and nice people. I highly recommend them. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I booked a resort with an agent from Cruise Planners and she booked our hotel for the wrong dates! Her reaction to her error after the fact was unacceptable and she refuses to accept accountability. This error resulted in an additional 2300 in costs. Truly fantastic! Recently, my girlfriend and I traveled to Paris and Madrid for the first time! We were the lucky winners of an 8-day/7-night European river cruise at a live charity auction. Ivan and Jenny were the donors of the cruise package. While the river cruise was an amazing score, the true value came from working with Ivan and Jenny to make our first time travelling in Europe an amazing, easy and stress-free experience! Even during the trip, Ivan would check in on us via e-mail making sure that we were having the best experience on our vacation. We felt like he sincerely CARED not only about our experience, but overall well-being, knowing that we were travelling by ourselves in a foreign country. Needless to say, from start to finish, we had an enchanting experience, which we would otherwise not have accomplished without Ivan and Jenny.
