Cruisin The Coast 2022. Register early for 2023. Wow what an event. Enter your vehicles. Over 9000 signed up. Thousand others visit without signing up. Vehicles Old and new. Fixed up or original. Drive it or tow it to the coast. This safe event had plenty of watchful every. Plenty of safety protocols in place. Hats off Mississippi for providing a safe environment. Helicopters viewing from above and plenty of eyes below. A lot to see and do. So many venues with events. Auctions and trades. Contests and prizes. Food and snacks. Casinos with different bands performing, and other speakers. Each town along Beach Boulevard held their local events as well. Parade and displays. Edgewater Mall hosts the daily display. Volunteers have everything organized and orderly! Sun and Fun!

We ended up going to this by accident. Me and my best friend were going to Biloxi to spend some time at the beach. On the way, we kept seeing all these old cars. Then we got to Biloxi and realized what it was. Be prepared to go really slow. The cars move very slowly down the coast. They have them parked all over and you can walk around and look at them. We decided to park and took a look at the cars. They had some pretty interesting cars. And the owners were really nice and took the time to talk to people. We ended up having a good time!

I've never seen so many RVs & confederate flags in my life...Ugh. White people in the south tend to take this event very seriously...which predominantly consists of sitting on lawns in beach chairs, beer in hand, watching muscle cars drive by and burn their tire rubber & hollering from their cars.

My understanding, they recently started doing this 7-10 years ago. Apparently it gets better and better each year. I found out it was featured on a hallmark movie Christmas in Mississippi for reference. But apparently they have been to this amazing event for a while now. Especially since they remodeled the park. And the icing on the cake. The new attraction of the new aquarium. Located in the heart of downtown Gulfport, in Jones Park on the corner of Highway 90 and Highway 49 at Gulfport harbor. They do not have any parking spaces next to the event. However, they do offer close proximity parking to either walk over from the west side of the marina. East parking in the aquarium garage. They offer free parking and shuttle/buses (provided by your local CTA for both ends. It's a free service but welcome a little Christmas gift if you desire. I recommend parking at the garage since it is well lit and easy to walk if you desire since they built the new overpass from the aquarium to the park. The west end has plenty of parking but not as well lit but closer to the event. In my opinion. Speaking of the bus service, they have plenty of them and service is great and quick. Do not be discouraged if you are waiting for a while for them. Cause you will not. A few minutes tops. That was my experience. I noticed that if you have person that requires extra attention. You can drop them off at the front of the park. And they will gladly assist you. Also guide you to find the best place to park. They encourage you to have the best experience possible. Admittance fee can vary on what day you go. They do accept cards. No discount at the booth that I am aware of. They have a train service that will take you around the park and enjoy the park lights. If you do not want to walk around the whole time. Please reach out to the ticket office for details. They also off few rides in the park (carnival) and delicious food (fair type) hot chocolate, and hot coffee ( or cold/frozen too) . They have plenty of the upscale portable restrooms on site for your convenience. Definitely recommend check it out if you are on the coast. Nice little trip to the coast and especially exploring what other great restaurants and attractions the hosts. Especially plan accordingly to go in the early evening to get the full experience of Christmas lights and weather permitting. Per this article, remember to dress appropriately, it can get kind of chilly in the evening since the temperature drops and of you get breeze. Fun for all ages and great group or family event. In my opinion. The staff is amazing and willing to help you out with your stay. World class experience! Service with a smile!

It happens every year in the City of Biloxi and apparently I got to attend the 38th year celebration! Usually it happens around September each year and is on the weekend only. The location usually changes year to year but most of time in the same vicinity. This year it so happened to be in Biloxi Town Green which is right across from the Hard Rock Hotel. The admission is $5 for adults and $15 for the Gumbo contest they do on the last day which provides a cup of gumbo from each team. We decided to go on a Sunday and parked our cars at the Hard Rock parking lot and quickly crossed the street to the entrance. Immediately we noticed hundred of vendors and people selling local items from there business to the crowd but we came for the food. We noticed a large food stand selling plenty of items of seafood and other items such as turkey legs, alligator, and even shark. Most of the items there were fried and they even had crawfish platters. They sell Italian sodas and snow balls to beat the heat as well. Other vendors that were there was a BBQ truck with brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, and also tamales. I went ahead and got 1 tamale and wow it was creamy and had perfect flavor and spice. The size wasn't all that but it was good to go in my books. They also had a boiled seafood pavilion with blue crabs, seafood platters, and shrimp. We went ahead and got the half dozen blue crabs steamed with a side of deep fried jalapeno peppers. They were very fresh and sweet however the peppers just wasn't my thing because they seemed to be sitting out to long. They have a huge covered tent pavilion where you can go in and beat the heat by sitting under some shade eating your meals. This even had live bands and alcohol, face painting, and even huge air bounce houses for the kids at a set price. Overall love the ideas of celebrating South Mississippi rich seafood culture but just wish there was more seafood options and a lot on non fried options as well. Its a great family fun event to attend and enjoy the beautiful Gulf Coast!

I will say that the location is incredible with the views of the Gulf of Mexico. The convention was a fun affair, and the grounds for the center are quite nice. Parking prices aren't really that bad, as I have seen convention center parking prices go for four times what they are charging here. I didn't have to pay them as I was staying at the hotel next door to the convention center and it was an easy ten minute walk to the convention center floor, and it would be even less if you were going to the coliseum. The facilities inside are pretty standard for a convention center. Various large rooms that can be converted to handle most mid-size convention needs with smaller rooms available for breakouts. They do not allow outside food or drink, though I did get away with an empty water bottle that I then filled up at the water fountains, so that was good. The food at the canteen was surprisingly decent, and not hugely overpriced. Compared to what I saw in Orlando, the food is top notch, frankly. I got an excellent meatball sub that had been freshly cooked on the grill right there for under fifteen dollars, and the burgers that were coming off the grill also looked quite good. Drink prices were a bit silly... five dollars for a 20oz bottle of soda, when you could go thirty feet to one of the vending machines and get a 12oz can of the same soda for two bucks. Even so, I really enjoyed the convention and the facilities were definitely a contributing factor to that. I was going to give three stars, but the food brought them up a notch.

I've visited several casinos over the years, including Beau Rivage in Biloxi and the Bellagio in…read moreLas Vegas, and Beau Rivage remains one of my favorite casino destinations. What keeps me coming back is that I feel like I get value for my money. Compared to many casinos, Beau Rivage has been generous with complimentary offers, free play, dining credits, and other promotions. While gambling always involves risk, I personally feel like my money lasts longer here, and I've had some enjoyable wins over the years. Although I haven't personally won more than $1,000 at one time, I've seen many reports on social media and heard from family and friends who have won several thousand dollars here. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere makes for an enjoyable experience whether you're there to gamble, dine, or relax. One thing I really appreciate that often gets overlooked is the restrooms. The women's bathrooms are very spacious with a large number of stalls, which makes a big difference during busy times. Even when the casino is crowded, you don't feel packed in or waiting forever. Everything is kept clean and well-organized, and it's one of the more comfortable restroom setups I've experienced in a large casino. Parking is a bit of a long walk from the garage to the casino floor, but I personally don't mind it because it gives me some extra walking and exercise. For those who prefer convenience, valet is a good option, especially for seniors or anyone with mobility concerns. My biggest concern is the cell phone service inside the casino. Most of the time, your phone will not work properly once you're deep inside the building, especially in the casino area. It feels like being underground or in a basement where service drops completely. To get a signal back, you often have to walk closer to exits or the security desk area, or wait until you leave the casino entirely. In today's world, having reliable phone service is important, and this is definitely something Beau Rivage should improve. As for the dining options, I've eaten at Stalla, Salt & Ivy Coastal Kitchen, and several of the other restaurants on the property. The food quality has generally been good, and the restaurants provide a nice dining experience. Salt & Ivy Coastal Kitchen, in particular, stands out. The food was very good and better reflected the comfort food, Southern flavors, and Mississippi Gulf Coast cooking that I was hoping to find during my visit. I think some of the other restaurants at Beau Rivage could take notes from Salt & Ivy when it comes to menu development and food preparation. While many of the other restaurants serve good food, some menus feel more generic and don't always capture the local flavors and culinary traditions of Mississippi and the Gulf Coast. When I visit Biloxi, I want to experience food that reflects the region, and Salt & Ivy does a much better job of delivering that experience. The buffet is decent and offers a variety of choices, but I would also like to see more regional favorites and authentic Gulf Coast cuisine. With Beau Rivage being such a premier destination in Biloxi, I think the food program has the potential to better showcase the area's culinary traditions. The only thing I'm still waiting on is a complimentary room offer! Hopefully that comes with future visits. Overall, Beau Rivage continues to be one of my favorite casinos. Between the beautiful property, enjoyable gaming experience, generous promotions, and quality amenities, it's a place I recommend to friends and family. A few improvements to the food offerings and phone connectivity would make the experience even better.

Right on the Gulf, standing tall like it owns the coastline (because honestly, it kind of does), this is the spot you go when you want to look good, feel sharp, and remind yourself what a real resort feels like. Clean, polished, upscale marble, light, and just enough swagger to let you know you're not in an average casino. It's not the place chasing you down with drinks every five minutes. Nah this is slower, intentional. The kind of place where the glass is heavy, the pour is right, and the whole room feels like it's got a reputation to uphold. You come here to impress or to be impressed. Now let me give you a glimpse of why this place stuck with me I'm deep into the night. Drinks in, friends around, cards and machines calling my name. Next thing I know, I've burned through my cash. Gone. Down to nothing. I'm standing there with that look like, well... that was fun while it lasted. Borrow a couple bucks I'll get you back," you know the line. Last dollar goes in. Machine starts spinning... slow... dragging it out like it knows something I don't. Then cha-ching. Lights. Noise. That beautiful, ridiculous ringing that doesn't stop. Just keeps going. People turning their heads. I'm standing there like I don't even belong in my own moment. $5,800. Just like that. I've never been the guy who wins but that night? I was that guy. Stayed up till the sun came creeping in, riding that wave, laughing like a fool, paying people back and then some. The kind of night you don't forget and the kind of place that makes it possible. That's Beau Rivage. It's not loud about it. It doesn't have to be. It's the full package restaurants, atmosphere, service, the whole experience wrapped up in one clean, high-end operation. If you want cheap thrills, look elsewhere. If you want the best all-around resort in Biloxi the one with the reputation, the look, and the stories to back it up This is the one.
