Tlive more than an hour from this Mexican Bakery. However, this last time I stopped, the experience was not the same. My favorite was the cheese and jalapeño relleno bread. They also carry some with just cheese. So, I asked the employees which were the ones with jalapeños in them. The employee said they all had jalapeño's and cheese. I purchased two of them. When I arrived at home, the bread instead had chorizo and potatoes inside. The taste was so bad and cold. I was disappointed. So, I called the bakery hoping to get replacements of jalapeño and cheese whenever I have the opportunity to stop by there, since it wasn't my fault. The employee told me no. I told her I could take a photo and keep the receipt. Nope, she didn't care. In addition, since I live more than an hour away, I asked the employee for a box to place the bread in, so the frosting on the small cakes wouldn't get messed up. Upon, looking at my receipt at home to call them, I noticed I was charged $2.25 for a thin little box that one gets free for purchasing donuts at a donut shop. If the employee had told me that there is a charge for the box, I would've had her place the bread in bags instead. This Mexican bakery is not a place I recommend to buy from. The pistachio latte was so good. The Ube latte was good, but can't really taste the Ube flavor. Solid place for specialty coffee. We also had the strawberry banana smoothie, it was yum. The food and drinks came out pretty quickly and the servers were nice. The Bad: The place seems to be specialized in crepe, so we ordered the Mixed berries crepe, the strawberry with Nutella crepe, and the apple cinnamon crepe. While the cream inside was delicious, the crepe itself was cold which made it a little gummy and it was a bit too thick. The apple cinnamon crepe had a mixture of cooked and cut fresh apples but unfortunately the fresh chunks didn't mix well with the overall texture of the crepe so it was not great. If they had sliced the fresh apples or put them on the side, it would've been better. The Ugly: We had the Greek omelette which was not big and can't really taste the feta cheese. It came with a hash brown but it was probably heated up in a microwave instead of fried...it was dry and missing the crunch. A few days ago, I asked for no ice, and they only filled the drink to the lower line. This time, this is what a "full price" drink looks like. Most places recommend adding ice because it saves the business money while giving customers less product from store bought without lookin at their ingredients. My friend ordered the Thursday special- grilled cheese with chips and tomato basil soup. The grilled cheese was different in that it came with bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. She got it without the lettuce and tomato and said it was delicious.
