Went there today after a great lunch and really liked the variety of choices and the place itself...very relaxing interior with good seating options. I got several items, tasted a few when there and am waiting to enjoy further. They have great sweets, some savory items (seemed to have 2-3 types of quiche; I got a chili-cheese quiche which I loved). Also a good coffee selection;; I had a tasty espresso with the one cookie I sampled there. Wish it was nearby, although I'd worry about the weight gain!!! read more

I just recently placed an order for cheesecake for a birthday. Having been to this business before, and it being a bakery, I would have assumed the cheesecake was made in house. Unfortunately, the cheesecake was store bought and cost nearly $8 a slice. I would love for this area to have more businesses, but I will not be returning Heidi's any time soon. From the looks of it the parking lot is super full but once you go in there is just a group of older ladies knitting, about eight of them. So they must have a lot of employees. I got the chocolate crinkle cookies and the blueberry scone. The chocolate crinkle cookies was kind of like a brownie and Italian cookie mix together but then it tasted like I've bit into a chunk of salt which was not appetizing, but other than that it was so so. I called to speak with the manager today about issues we had with the cookies I ordered for my nieces wedding shower. I explained I only wanted to give them feedback we had received from some of the guests as well as ourselves about the dryness and inconsistency of the cookies. I told the manager I wouldn't post anything about our experience because I am not asking for compensation of any kind only give them some feedback because they are a new business, but after speaking with the manager and feeling completely dismissed I decided to go ahead and post our experience. The bakery itself was really cute. I ordered custom cookies for my nieces wedding shower and the cookies were very inconsistent in texture and thickness. The bride to be said they were pretty but not flavorful and dry. The cookies were supposed to be done on Friday and when I called they said it would be Saturday morning, right before the shower. None of the cookies were in cellophane bags when I got there. I asked for 40 bags so I could place each cookie in the bags. I ended up spending more time putting all the cookies in bags when we got to the venue. Overall the cookies were very expensive, pretty but not tasty. Wish they would have genuinely apologized and maybe we would have tried them again in the future. read more

We ordered a birthday cake for my grandson and needless to say the flavor was horrible or nonexistent and the cake was extremely dry for $125. I would've thought we would've gotten a better product. Bakery is getting slammed on other social media pages for bad food, bad attitude bad everything I noticed that the owners Heidi and her husband Dan only respond to the good reviews not to the bad reviews which show a consistent pattern of bad behavior. Our 2nd visit here, thought we'd give them another chance after a mediocre 1st visit. 2nd visit turned out to be as mediocre as the 1st visit. This is a very nice place to sit but we find the quality and taste of the bakery and food items really no better than what you buy at food city bakery. This is such a difference from Wild Love or Magpies in quality and taste. Wild love and Magpies being very good. Even Panara and Starbucks is a big step up from Heidi's. This trip we had the apple bread and quiche, weak. Honestly I can't even remember if last trip we had some type of pumpkin or banana bread, other than thinking how dry and flavorless it was. Wow huge disappointment. Ordered 8" Lemon Raspberry birthday cake and there were only fake flowers on it. I supplied an edible top but they didn't tell me they only do fake flowers - you need to ask. The cake was so tasteless and dry all for a whopping - $120.00. read more

Ignore Terri M, she's just another out of state outsider who has done nothing but bash our local businesses since she's got here. Go back to California, we don't want you here! Prices here are fair and the employees are lovely and informative. The actual cake itself it's delicious, not too sweet. Heidi's is the best. Back in 2021 Heidi did my wedding cake and cupcakes, long before she ever had this bakery, and she's done so many events for me ever since. Her team and products are amazing. Had an eggnog latte, a chicken salad sandwich, and a brownie. Everything was *delicious* and the girl behind the counter was very sweet and quick to get our items. Literally my only complaint is that I have ear problems with certain noises and their espresso machine is *loud*. I used heidi's bakery for my wedding on May 17th and I could not be more satisfied. Heidi made the entire process so smooth. We absolutely loved working with her. During our consultation we got to go inside the shop and it was so cute and the ambiance was cozy. We got to try so many flavors and we had a hard time choosing because all of the flavors were so good! We had a 4 tier vintage piping cake and it was amazing the details were absolutely stunning and the flavor tasted homemade. I got two cinnamon rolls and two peanut butter fudge brownies today from this bakery. First time in and thought it was spacious and clean; however, the actual food and baked good choices were lacking. Took what I bought home with me and wasn't impressed by either the cinnamon roll nor the peanut butter fudge. The former tasted just barely better than a grocery deli cinnamon roll. The latter I would not buy again. No words can be shared to describe the amount of disappointment my taste buds suffered. After reading Heidi's about me page on her website regarding her background of cooking and baking, I really wish I would have read that first before going to her bakery. First thing first, the food is outstanding and the coffee was above average. My problems all revolves around service. When we ordered breakfast items, a breakfast casserole and a sticky bun. We asked the young lady not to put them on the same plate or use the same spatula because my wife is a vegetarian. The young lady looked back with a snarky condescending look and said, "I'm just microwaving them", ok, but don't cross contaminate items. This shouldn't be a difficult or out of the ordinary request( as a side note I watched the girl use the same spatula for all items in the display case even though each dish had its own utensil for serving, if your vegetarian, know your food has been in contact with meat products). Later after eatting I noticed that our drinks were not the size we paid for, we let another young girl know and she said she would refund and charge us correctly, nice right, except the charge after refund was more, so you charged me for larges 20 oz and we got 16 oz. You refunded us the money then rang it up again and now it cost more, when my wife asked how this is possible they couldn't explain, just kept saying that's what it is, and just stared at us, she rang it up again and now it's a dollar less, which made no sense, when we questioned that she just got more frustrated and said go get hiedi. I assuming the owner, when she arrived she could understand what the problem was, confused I guess. She did offer to remake our drinks but by this time we were so frustrated by what should have been a simple task, we just left. Again food was good. I would focus on food handling. costumer service, honesty, and efficiency in the future, perhaps explain to the young ladies, thier facial expressions, mannerism and temperament will doom this place. Unfortunately your staff cost you future buisness. read more
