As a 14 year member, originally at Beaverton, transitioning to Aloha when it opened, I am extremely disappointed. When I joined, I opted for the highest level of membership, and paid annually to simplify and save money. My member ship being 2 days from expiring, I went in to renew. I was informed that my grandfathered rate was no longer being honored by the new ownership, and the rate was increased by 80%. This is bad enough, but they have actually decreased benefits since taking over. Over the years, I've brought in multiple other members, including my wife, neighbors, and customers. After this last interaction, I can not in good faith recommend them to anyone. read more

Staff are friendly and very nice work out environments. check in is super easy and you also can shower over there after work out Cost: since I have one year base contract, it should be cost me $9.99 but I pay with credit card so I got $2 extra charge. Pay attention for incoming members: If you interested contact with them, better ask in person because website has less information and make me confused. I have only been to this location once, but my experience so far reflects Sheisty business practices and money grabs over client experience and satisfaction. The general manager Raul, I'm assuming, during my visit tried to get me to sign up with my bank account(DO NOT DO THIS. You can refute a charge from them with a credit card but you are SOL if they get your bank account info) I declined and he pushed, I declined again. After the tour, he asked me if I was interested in an appointment with a personal trainer to get a body scan/talk about my fitness goals; I was not so I declined, he pushed, I declined again, he pushed further so I agreed to the 10$ appointment. I later called to cancel this appointment because I felt badgered into saying yes. The charge is, of course, not refundable. This was odd to me because I assumed I was talking to the manger, he certainly can make an exception? Right? I had the appointment scheduled for less than 24 hours...also...it's 10$... The facilities, 3:30 on a Friday, were "okay". All but one of the stalls in the ladies bathroom were unflushed and toilet paper strewn about the floor... yuck :/ not to mention the treadmills had ground-in dirt/crumbs. Unfortunately, based on other reviews, it seems like my experience is not too far off from many others. I feel a bit "trapped" by my membership now, knowing that cancellations and refunds are probably out of the question for them. I will most likely continue to go, but if they are trying to build a community here, they are severely missing the mark. I would like to be treated like more than a checkbook to this gym. Things have really gone downhill with the new managment/owners. When you walk in youre no longer greeted with a Hello. There's one type of person working at this gym- the typical Gym Bro. It no longer feels welcoming to everybody. No one really seems happy to be working here. They fired all the old staff, even the seasoned trainers who knew what they were doing and instead replaced them with fresh out of school trainers. Now they started charging an extra $2 "fee" for being a member, I've never been charged this since joining in 2018. The yearly fee has gone up too. read more

I've been a member here for years, and I'm very disappointed with how things have gone. The cleaning stations are mostly empty, which makes it hard to keep equipment sanitized the way it should be in a gym. What really frustrated me is being charged when closing the account today and being told I will be charged again before the account is fully closed. After years of paying my membership on time, I feel taken advantage of. It shouldn't cost extra just to stop a membership, especially when I've already been a loyal customer for so long. I've been trying to unfreeze my membership for almost a week now, it was frozen because I was pregnant. I was told by staff on my first day back that they emailed the manager Michelle and that she is the only one that could take care of it. Came back next day and still nothing, then the next day and again still nothing, I was told another email was sent to this manager. Its now been 5 days that my membership has still been frozen, because of this when I come in I try and explain to the front staff member the situation so I could still workout. Usually there are no problems but today the staff member named Garry gave me a horrendous time. I came in and tried explaining the situation to Garry and he proceeds to tell me to scan my code, before I can finish trying to explain the situation again he cuts me off and asks me for my number. I give him my number and he tells me my membership is frozen, I tell him thats what ive been trying to explain to him and he tells me I need to reach out to Michelle the manager and that shes the only one that could fix this situation. I try letting him know that shes been emailed twice on the staff's behalf and before I can explain this he again cuts me off and tells me I need to be the one to contact her. This goes on for a bit more, me being cut off while trying to explain my situation until he decides this situation isn't for him and he tells someone else to take care of me and walks away. The next two people were amazing and listened to the situation and told me they would try to reach Michelle again in hope to get this situation fixed but that it might take a while because apparently Michelle doesnt like dealing with membership "issues". This is surprising since ive been told she is the only one that could reactivate my membership. This is very unfortunate that the freeze on my membership due to pregnancy is an "issue" for the manager Michelle at the Aloha location. I hope to get this issue resolved quickly as I dont want to be billed for multiple months at once due to the lack of responsibility of the managers here at this crunch. read more

My son started going here August of 2024. We were encouraged to go for the biggest package for perks as it led him bring a guest every time. That guest is me. We were enjoying 50% off drinks until recently. November of 2024 to August of 2025 we enjoyed various personal trainers. Austin, Austyn and Taylor. They were all super helpful. I miss many employees as things have changed. Sometimes the music is a little loud. We just go into the other room to work out. Lots of cool equipment and nice people. read more

Signed up for personal trainer package, and although a bit pricey was pleased with the experience. Ask for the head trainer Austyn, he is a great guy, always punctual and has your goals in mind. The general gym is clean, plenty of variety with machines/free weights, free lockers, and equipment is functional. I go there 3+ times/week and always had a consistent experience. Only minor complaint is that the free weight benches are far too high off the ground, making them difficult to use with proper form. Would recommend replacing if the owner reads this. Overall would recommend for general gym goers at any experience level. It can get very crowded during peak hours, but for the price you get everything you need. read more

The gym itself has lots of machines and relatively nice employees. I have been going to this gym for about 3 years and you cannot beat the price. What I am upset about is that Crunch Gym changed my membership to the Plus membership without my acknowledgment and you are unable to access contracts online which is pretty sketchy. I went in person and although the employees were attentive and listened to me, and explained that Crunch is now under different management, manager basically said there was nothing they could do but downgrade my plan back to the original pricing. They also charged me two annual fees in one year, so my advice for members is to please keep track of the bill because it is really easy for you to miss these charges if you're not careful. I'm hoping someone can help me with my issue, this resulted in me losing out on about $84.99. Just because management changed doesn't mean I should take financial responsibility for something I didn't consent to. I will email as well to see if I can get this resolved. read more

This place SAVED me during Portland's ice/snow storm! Luckily this gym was open and offered a 3 free day guest pass that I could use to run inside! The workers made us a comfortable and welcoming environment, and I loved the amount of natural light in here. (Most gyms have that harsh fluorescent lighting). I'm a visiting member from another Crunch and I was hoping that this one would be similar. I was so wrong. The atmosphere at this gym is horrible, so many grumpy people at the front desk. The workout floor is filthy. There's gum and hair and all kinds of nasty stuff stuff in the turf. The machines are always wet, which is gross- I don't know if its sweat or something else. The locker room is disgusting. There was one guy at the front desk who was super helpful, I don't know his name but he had red hair- he was the only one who listened to what I was asking and was able to help me. I just needed clips for the bar and he let me use some. There's some other gyms in the area that I'll gladly pay for a pass so that I don't have to come here. read more

I will say the parking lot for this crunch location is pretty bad. Numerous times when I've tried to park, I haven't been able to because some crazy person has parked over two parking spots. I have never had this problem at other gym locations. Do people in Aloha just not know how to drive and park or what? I keep meaning to come in here to try out their massage table that they have that everyone talks about. The downside is there class times here just don't work well with my schedule so I usually have to go over to the Beaverton location. The staff here are a lot less friendly as well. If it weren't for my commitment to Phoenix who's been doing an awesome job training my son , I wouldn't be going there. Most of the staff is ok except the manager. It's by opinion that the manager is racially bias against black people. Every time I go in when she's working she gives me a hassle. Being a crunch member for years and even spending xtra money on trainers and shirts, my son and I felt unwelcome. ‍ I always maintained my peak membership which includes 1 free guest. So we walk in and scan my card, the manager (who usually gives me problems) says to my son excuse can I see your guest sticker ? I responded and said he's with me, I have a peak membership. She then says did he sign a waiver , I replied by saying yes we signed a waiver it was already confirmed by yet another desk worker about 2 weeks ago. She then asks for credentials to confirm it yet again , she finally located it and once again asks me for my sons I.d I said he's a minor he doesn't have I.d then she told me there's a "new policy that requires me to show her my I.d in order for my son to receive a "guest sticker" i told her I have peak membership and my son sees a personal trainer there so I'm not understanding what the problem is? I asked to see this "new policy" and she couldn't show me. ‍ I already called around to other locations and spoke to several managers who confirmed that the information she was asking me for was not a requirement because I have a peak membership ‍ So by this point I know the manager is just giving me a hard time so I told her I'm not showing her my i.d and that I wanted to speak with her boss so she took down my information and said she'd email the owner. I know moving to a new neighborhood as a black women in Oregon was kinda tricky but damn I'm over this, it's supposed to be a "judgement free" place to exercise but I'm starting to realize at this location that, that only applies if your not black . After my son's commitment to his personal trainer is over I'm never going back and I would suggest If you are a person of color not to go there either. I am appalled by the unprofessionalism. I was working out by myself. I had put my stuff down next to a machine and went to go. Grab my Mat when I came back. A lady was asking someone if they were using the machine. I went up to her and told her. I was using the machine she then said. I don't see you on it very rudely. And I said well, my stuff is here. I was grabbing my Mat. I'm here now. I'm using it. And she said so I don't care and I said ma'am, I am using it. She then said f*** y** and walked off. I then went on with my workout. Her husband then came up to me. Harassing me about when I'm going to get off and why I'm on my phone. So we went up to the front desk. I explained myself they left. I went to work out. I then went up to the front desk lady and apologized for being loud. She told me she was busy, I said I'm sorry to her and the customer that she was talking to I then left. I gotta call from shamara, the front desk manager and she yelled at me and told me. I was not allowed to ever come back, she canceled my membership to every crunch location and hung up the phone on me. She didn't even let me talk one time. I am appalled and outraged. I just spent $50 for my annual fee a couple days ago. And I did nothing wrong. I was harassed at that gym. And I have been canceled this is a horrible horrible management workplace. I've been working out at this gym for almost a year. I've spent alot of time and money here and the way I was treated is so hurtful. This gym doesn't fix broken equipment in a timely manner. It is affordable and conveniently located but those are the only positive things I have to say about it. The free weight area is a testerone zone and is always populated by narcissistic males who like to monopolize certain areas--they remind me of banty roosters who imagine that they are the cocks of the walk but, in reality, just come off as repulsively ego-centric microphallic narcissists. It's hard to get a full work out in within a reasonable amount of time because so many low-level people hog machines. I sent an email to the local manager and received no reply; I wrote an actual letter that I mailed to corporate headquarters and received no reply--the Crunch universe is clearly indifferent to customer satisfaction. read more

Cheap, standard gym. What you see is what you get. I'm A-Ok with the facilities. EXCEPT all the sweat/germs that regular clients leave behind on machines. Paper towels and sanitary spray stations are everywhere, but I have seen at least 4 regular clients walk away from their machines without wiping them down.... and they had VISIBLE SWEAT STAINS EVERYWHERE. Yeah buddy, folks wanna sit on your ass sweat. Friggin gross. Staff says NOTHING. Joined gym and purchased a very large Personal Training package after liking a specific trainer. Just after making purchase, they "let go" the trainer. They refused to refund my money. However, dealing with their corporate is a nightmarish experience, and you WILL deal with corporate if you need to change your account, deal with billing issues, cancel your account, etc. The local branch will try to help, but their hands are tied by bureaucratic corporate nonsense and anti-customer cancellation policies. I had a cancellation issue that I tried to resolve over an 8 month period, which required numerous phone calls and in the end I still had to pay money that I shouldn't have. I have been attending Crunch Fitness for well over a year now. The front desk is always so welcoming and reminders my name! I have been working with Personal Trainer Josh Martin since December of 2021. Josh has helped me in so many ways. I have a high calorie burning job and would often get injuries like pulled muscles and sprains as well as back pain. Since working with Josh I haven't had any injuries at work. I have been able to gain weight and I am a lot stronger, I look better, I am more capable at work, I sleep better and my overall quality of life has improved! I used this facility one day back in March 2020 then covid shut every down. you could not get ahold of anyone. Then when the reopened I tried to cancel my membership since Feb 2021 they have been charging me this entire time. Tried calling corporate tried calling the billing department & they are all rude. had to take a day off to physically go down there & manager told me that corporate will not refund any of my money for the last 2 years but she is willing to offer me a 3 month Complementary membership. This is my home gym, and it rocks! Love the staff, the equipment, the classes, etc. In fact, I've been out for 2 months with a back injury, and have actually missed going here. Hope to get back soon (no pun intended). Let's start with the staff. I have never come in once, where I wasn't greeted by at least one, if not more, of their staff, telling me to have a good workout. And, when I leave, the same thing happens. They tell me either goodbye or good workout. Every interaction I've had with them (asking for help, buying a sports drink) has been pleasant as well. I know it's not much, but in this day & age when so many companies are going automated with everything, it's nice have people there giving great member service. Next, let's talk about the classes they offer. Everything from Boot camp style classes, to Zumba, to yoga. The instructors are trained well, and lead positively. They push you but also allow you to go at your own pace. Now, let's talk about the equipment. I love it. They have plenty of everything. So many treadmills, ellipticals, etc. It's very rare if you need to wait for anything. Weight machines, free weights, etc. are also offered. They even have machines that are made perfectly for beginners to help them if they don't know what they're doing. It's fantastic! Lastly, they have trainers. Now, I loved the trainer I was working with, and all of them seem to be very professional and proficient. Working on exactly what you specify. I love working with the trainers. Here's my only issue: it's too expensive for most people. I get it. They went to school, have spent much time in training classes, in continuing ed classes, etc., so to be profitable, they have to make money some how, but c'mon! The average person doesn't have a few hundred dollars lying around to utilize a trainer a few times a week... especially if they have 4 kids, and are a 1 income family like mine. I love it, but just can't afford any of the options they offer. (bummer) One last thing: they also offer tanning and hydro massage as well. (Very nice!) read more

Pros: - cheap - knowledgeable and affordable trainers. I HIGHLY recommend Sean, Mark and Derrick. They're all highly accredited, have been trainers for years, and coming from a me, a competitive athlete in powerlifting, they all know their stuff. - several Olympic lifting platforms, squat rack, power rack which is usually more than other commercial gyms - long track for sled drags - bathrooms aren't sparkling but they're WAY better than some gyms (like 24 hr fitness, where the bathrooms are worse than gas stations) - massage chairs - tanning (if that's your thing, not mine) - I rarely see any equipment down for repairs. - they have bumper plates! Great for Olympic lifting. Cons: - always packed. Good luck getting a session in after 5pm Monday - Friday. 90% of the gym crowd do not know what they're doing so they'll camp on a machine while sitting on their phone scrolling Facebook. They're completely oblivious to gym etiquette. - they're strict about gym bags because people have been seen trying to steal weights in them. - some people can be creepy AF. Not the gyms fault though. One dude was following me around the gym but thankfully one of the trainers observed what was going on, took the creeper aside and told him he had to back off. - if your card on file is expired you'll get no warning and a late fee will be charged automatically. Kind of a pain in the ass, but the manager was able to clear that up for me no problem. - they charge you $10 to downgrade your membership which is BS. read more

Let me start by saying it's March 26 2018 at 5:10 AM, and I'm sitting in my car waiting for the gym to open. It was suppose to open at 5:00 AM. If the owner of this business gave a $#!+, I would be inside working out in my scarcely limited time before work. "The fish rots from the head down." It's now 5:14. I have not worked out but one time since Covid started in March. I cannot workout with a mask so I called to cancel, but could not get ahold of anyone. Finally at end of August I called and they said I had to come into sign and cancel. So I did, but they charged me annual fee 39.00. I called to get it refunded they said so sorry. Total rip off, I was told I would not be charged. They will not refund money! It's the principle!!!! It's totally not fair and I did not appreciate how I was dealt with. I just got told midway into my workout, by FOUR Washington County deputies, NOT by gym personnel, that I'm being trespassed from the gym and my membership was cancelled!!! All because some racist girl at the counter wouldn't let my daughter attend a Zumba class a few weeks ago and I called her out on their inconsistency with the policies. Well now, I ain't letting it go and won't stop until I get corporate involved and have a resolution that satisfies me. I have the Base membership and love it. Friendly staff, clean gym, convenient location, easy parking.

One of the best things about this gym is that it's so cheap you could really do a no contract deal for $10 a month. Parking here is also very easy. it's also easy to cancel here if you don't want to use it anymore the employees don't hassle you. however probably my biggest complaint about this gym and why I stopped going and ended up canceling my membership, is that there is simply just too many people here. Even if you go in the middle of the day or late afternoon it's going to be pretty crowded. People here are generally not very friendly and rude and hog equipment even if they're taking breaks on their sets. Good luck trying to use anything from peak hours from 5 to 7 or so and even other times it is simply too crowded. Review specifically relates to personal trainer Sage. With the new year I wanted to get a better work out routine going so I asked for Sage. He had given a free squat class earlier so I asked for his help. He is very knowledgeable, very positive, and motivating. His high fives definitely get you to push yourself and is very creative on creating workouts that get your heart pumping. He is a stickler on form which I appreciate. 5 stars. read more

You get what you pay for. This gym has pros and cons. Not the greatest, not the cleanest, not the best. However, they do have lots of equipment and several squat racks with Olympic lifting pads. If it was less crowded and a little cleaner, it would be 4-5 stars. But you get what you pay for. For the price, it's not even worth complaining about. The first part is for the trainer Stevie Aubuchon. She was my personal trainer for a bit, while I could afford it, and I loved her. She pushed me to reach my PR and was kind enough to help me through a deadlift mental block. She has also pushed my daughter to go heavier since she was not quite pushing it enough. Her classes on the morning are great and so are the people who go. If you want a trainer look to Stevie. Can't say enough about her. She deserves the 5 stars. On a separate note and not positive are that several classes had been cancelled without notice. I really liked the Tread and Shed in the morning at Aloha but they were cancelled and I also took the Friday am class as well and that one was cancelled as well. I joined because I liked the selection of classes but communication at the location is terrible. Classes should be brought back to Aloha!!!!! read more

~Let me start off by saying that this gym is affordable. The monthly dues are a nice price point and the equipment is new. But a person defiantly gets what they pay for. The staff (trainers) has been rude on more than one occasion. I was stretching in the back corner. Taking up just enough space for a yoga mat and was informed that a class was about to start and that I needed to move. This was during peak hours and there was literally not another place that I could have gone. When I informed the trainer of this and asked if she had any ideas of where I should move to. she replied that she didn't care, but I couldn't stay there. I was sure that the back corner was not needed, and I was taking up minimal space stretching, but apparently the next 5 minutes the back corner was an integral part of the up coming workout. ~Peak hours the gym is packed and expect to modify your workout or wait to utilize whatever apparatus that you were planning on using. ~Lastly the staff and ownership are extremely unhelpful. I don't know if this is due to the monthly price, but if you have an issue, do not expect to get any assistance. The phone app was touted when I joined. I like this feature as I don't want to carry a barcode and am always sure that I'm going to loose or misplace it. I informed the staff when I joined and was told that I could use the app on my phone to sign in. I joined approximately 3 months ago and have yet to have the app work. I have stoped by the front desk at least 5x and called and emailed corporate and the location about my issues. I did not receive a call or email back. I then emailed and stated that I wanted to cancel my membership unless some one could help resolve this issue, and to contact me by phone. I then received an email stating to cancel I needed to send a letter in or cancel in person at my gym location. NO PHONE RESPONSE, NO PERSONAL CONTACT TO RESOVE MY ISSUE, AFTER REPEATEDLY BEING IGNORED. I didn't feel that my requests were outrageous. Some of the worst costumer service I have received. ~There are multiple other gyms at this price point. I don't know why anyone would continue to workout here. read more
