She said they sold half baguettes with butter and strawberry jam. I negotiated two half baguettes, no butter, no jam. My single long baguette came in a sleeve that said, "Artisanal Bread". Really, she couldn't have been nicer. One last thing: At the bar in the back, there's a Belle Epoque-style glass bit of bar ware. I asked the waitress: Is that an absinthe dispenser?? She showed me not one but two different brands of absinthe; one in the famous green bottle. Things are different among our neighbors in the North!

The workers serving the ice cream inside were a lot nicer though they didn't really seem to understand how to make some of the orders. It was weird.
