We arrived on a Saturday morning after ziplining, and we were really hungry! We came to the right place! We were fortunate to be seated, as they take reservations only through their website at pariscrepescafe.com. After 5pm Friday and throughout the weekend (as well as every bank holiday) street parking is free, in an attempt to lure customers. It's fair to say the neighborhood is, "in transition", but the blocks around this restaurant are lovely. Every shop is a small business owner, with none of the chain stores that plague downtown. We were seated immediately. The restaurant does breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has a nice list of wines and coffees. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. The French press coffee was spectacular, and the Chantilly cream I ordered as a side was spritzed into my coffee cup with every refill. (I always say, "yes" to schlag Sahne!) The menu has about 12 choices of gallettes (savory) and 12 choices of crepes (sweet). Both are thin buckwheat pancakes with extensive, yummy fillings. It was hard to choose just one! I opted for the galette Thalassa, which is filled with a mesclun salad, cherry tomato halves, mandolined radish and cucumber and red onion strings, covered with lox, capers, a dab of sour cream and a teaspoon of black caviar. It was a feast! My husband had the galette Savoyard, with a scrambled egg and prosciutto. I can tell he liked it by his silence after it was put in front of him! My spouse had the hanger steak with eggs benedict sitting on a bed of fries and an arugula salad with dressing next to it, and a wonderful sauce with mushrooms and little pearl onions on the steak. And yes of course we had dessert. A crepe with chocolate and salted butter- simple but fabulous. They have lots of savory and sweet Crepes to choose from. Bonjour, Foodies. Wow! What a wonderful spot to eat. We (4 top) had brunch here Sunday before Labour Day. Americans visiting Canada. Early afternoon not long before they closed to break and then begin dinner service prep. We were the last brunch patrons of the day. Only critique might be on their ventilation system. There were only a few tables eating at that time) and cozy. Decor is very Parisienne. My wife has been to Paris and she recalled cafés just like this one. Stacy was our server. She was very nice and very friendly. Exceptionally knowledgeable about the dishes and the story of the café. There was a sense of pride when she spoke of the café that did not go unnoticed. Food was delivered in good time. What was supposed to be hot was hot & cold, cold. We had: Thalassa (Galette) La Baraka (Crepe) La Complete (Galette) Cappuccino (2) Beer (local, Sleeman Original Lager) Bread with Butter & Strawberry Jam Suffice to say that EVERYTHING was delicious. That's, actually, an understatement. One bite of his La Complete and my brother in law said, "Dude, you gotta taste this!! And he was right..amazing." My dish was the Thalassa, because I adore smoked salmon. It was fresh, bright and it was my first time having caviar. I thought that I would love it and I did. Then, my wife's dish, the sweet La Baraka. O M G! Nothing like it. Sweet but not too sweet and come to find out from Stacy that all the components are made from scratch. The salted butter caramel & the Chantilly. Idk how it's made but I'm going to learn how to make that Chantilly. Soooo good! Also, the Cappuccino here is outstanding. This is a fantastic jewel hidden in the eclectic area of down town. The inside is truly Parisienne, and it will take you a while to decide from all the delicacies on the menu. My Galette Papillon was out of this world and my espresso was percolated to perfection, far far away from the infamous Starbucks that has accustomed the world to horrendous overly toasted café. This was within walking distance of our B&B and came up in a search for gluten-free food. We arrived right around 5p and were greeted promptly. We were seated inside as the outside tables were already taken. The interior of Paris Crepes Cafe is decorated with French posters and art. The dark woodwork is accented by cream walls and red upholstery. Flowers decorated the entry and some of the tables. Definitely a French bistro vibe. Upon scanning the menu, we discovered that the galettes de sarrazin are made with buckwheat and, therefore, gluten free! I ordered the Rocamadour, and my partner got La Veggie. Both came with a small salad with French vinaigrette dressing. The Rocamadour contained goat cheese, pear, and walnuts topped with a drizzle of honey. It was delish and very filling. I also tried a bite of my partner's La Veggie with flavorful ratatouille and cheese. Both were really tasty. If we don't go back tomorrow, we'll definitely be back next time we visit. They refused to separate the tables per our 2 separate reservations, and argued with us why we don't want to pay tips. We didn't mean we don't want to pay tips at all...just to avoid the compulsory large group extra tips for a small lunch. They then put 18% tips on our 6 ppl bill. And they already put 15% tips on our 5 ppl bill. How can they force people for the gratuity %? They even did a wrong food order...what kind of service it worth for the extra tips? My whole group had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Paris Crêpes Cafe. Although we came toward the end of the night, we got very attentive service and were never rushed through a delicious dinner and dessert. For gluten free customers: The staff clearly understood gluten issues in food and cooking. There were the most gluten free options of any French restaurant I have ever seen, including many wonderful gluten free desserts, which is tough to find in almost any restaurant. My family and I visited Paris Crepes Cafe during our trip to Canada, and I have some mixed feelings about the experience. First off, making an online reservation was a breeze, and we were seated right away, which was a relief after an early morning start. Spent a romantic weekend with my gf in niagara falls recently and we arrived way earlier than our hotel checkin time so we hopped on yelp and found this highly rated french bistro 10-15 min away. We settled on a pair of savoury crepes. The sud ouest (which was made with duck confit) and the papillon (which came with ham and apple compote). We also ordered some chai and a cappucino to wash it all down. We were both pleasantly surprised with the big size of the crepes. Both crepes were delicious. So crispy and thin. The onion jam went so well with the duck but the true star of the show was the apple compote in the papillon crepe. It was a PERFECT balance of flavours. The saltiness of the ham and swiss cheese combined with the sweetness of the apple was just an explosive bite every time. I'm not sure if the resto uses farm to table philosophy, but the ingredients tasted REALLY fresh. The cheese was very good quality and I felt like they cured their own ham in house. My gf gave the cappucino double thumbs ups and while the chai latte wasn't the best one I've ever had, it was very, very solid and not overly sweet. I have been craving Buckwheat crepes for a while now and finally found them here. The ambiance in the place was very inviting. It's a great place to have classy brunches or romantic dinners. Stopped in on a visit to the falls in summer 2022. It was hot and we were split 50/50 on whether to eat outside on their sidewalk tables, but were easily swayed indoors when the hostess told us they were having a problem with hornets. Inside it was, and we loved the decor and vibe on the interior anyway. It feels miles away from the neon, arcades, and wax museums of the downtown Niagara area, but it's just a short drive away. We had a French onion soup, baguette (with butter and jams), and an eggs benedict. The food was delicious and the surrounding neighborhood held some potentially interesting smaller shops. Went here for lunch today. This is one nice place inside with all kinds of Paris artwork throughout. Lots of tables and a cool looking bar. The server sat us at a very tiny table with old creaky chairs that felt they might fall apart. Not good. Further, you could hardly put anything on the table beyond two dinner plates. The server was really friendly and attentive. We ordered a glass of wine, the French onion soup, and carrot ginger soup. Prices here are very high for all items; it's shocking considering this is downtown Niagara Falls, not Paris France. The wine was good. The French onion soup came in a small bowl, it was hot and tasty. The carrot ginger soup came to us cold, not even warm. We told the server and he immediately corrected it, but that meant one of us finished the meal while the other had to wait for a new bowl of soup. In all fairness, the second bowl did arrive piping hot. After that experience, we didn't feel like ordering anything else. The baguette did not taste like authentic Parisian baguette; more like a cheap loaf bought at a discount grocery store--it was too airy and light. At the end of it all, two bowls of soup, and one glass of wine, came to almost $36 plus tip. That's way overpriced in my book for what was served. read more

We enjoyed amazing hospitality for dinner last night. It was a quiet night for the restaurant, so we were able to chat with the host and chef and get tips on the menu. We were traveling to celebrate our anniversary and when our host heard this she brought us a welcome drink. We were treated to personalized gluten free off menu crisps rather than bread to accompany the salad we ordered. The dressing was inspired - truly the best vinaigrette I've had. My husband got the Boeuf Bourguignon and raved. He felt it was just extraordinary, which he does not throw around lightly. I ordered the Florence Crepe which was delicious- and way more than I could eat. We did order fries since they have a gluten free fryer and I so rarely get to enjoy fries. They were hot and perfect! We did order the crème brûlée when we heard they use honey from their own hives to make it we made room for a bite. Let me tell you... it was phenomenal! Being gluten free, this is frequently the only dessert option, so we've shared crème brûlée around the world. This was by far the best we've ever had (including in Paris this summer). From the welcoming hospitality and ambiance to the delicious and inspired meal this spot won our hearts! Thank you Starr and Jen - wow! A note on gluten free- the host is also gluten free so very knowledgeable and careful. All the sweet crepes can be made with the buckwheat crepe base, so the entire crepe menu is available.
