BeaverTails is a MUST when in Niagara Falls. Our tour guide recommended 2 foods for us to try when in Niagara Falls, one was poutine and the 2nd was BeaverTails. We had the Bananarama and it was definitely a happy ending to our first night here. We loved it so much...we had the Bananarama again as our last night dessert. We also had their BeaverDog. We like our hot dogs plain with just ketchup and mustard so we ordered our BeaverDog naked. The hot dog is good and the "bun" complements well with the dog. Service is fast since this place can get busy. Definitely, will come back to this place again.
4 flavors of Hot chocolate for the HCT! They even have ice cream and sorbet. awesome service by a young lady. Friendly and bubbly in a good way! Simple ambiance with no table of chairs sadly.

Mon ami a pris une poutine avec du fromage et la sauce. Ce n'était pas déçu, c'était délicieux! Le service chez Queues de Castor était excellent, surtout étant donné que le personnel sert des touristes toute la journée. L'ambiance était conviviale et décontractée. On y sent les arômes sucrés de pâtisseries fraîches, dans un espace très petit mais joliment décoré. C'est un lieu animé où les familles se retrouvent. En revanche, il n'y avait pas de sièges.

I also tried the Apple Pie BeaverTail, and while it was a little too sweet for me personally, it was still very good. The warm apple flavors made for a nice contrast to the Strawberry Cheesecake, which remains my top choice. The best part? BeaverTails has locations all across Canada, so even if you're not in Toronto, you can still find one in other cities and enjoy this Canadian staple. It's worth every penny and definitely worth the stop.
you can't miss this location right at the center of the complex by Niagra Falls. Parking is a bit far so you'll have to walk a bit first but it just gives you time to enjoy the colorful scenery. It's a quaint take out place; staff are very accomodating and service is fast. Menu is more of a comfort food and my fave is the bananas with nutella. you can have them slice it if you're sharing.
So yummy!! We had the beaver tail with lemon on it. It was served nice and hot! Service was friendly and quick. Just a small area to order, good to take on the go.

These beaver tails here in Niagara Falls reminded me of the maple donuts in the donut shop. Overall this one I ordered was very sweet from the powder and the maple syrup. The bread was flat too, which is something typical for a Canadian treat. This could get messy depending on how you eat it. Honestly, I would eat this again if I ever come back!
Soooo I wanted to try a beavertail. I had read about them. When we went to explore Clifton Hill we saw they had a beavertails sign! I was excited and we decided to pop on over to check it out!! I didn't know what to expect... as we entered the store was quiet but we must has attracted more people. There are a variety of flavors to try, but my husband said we're in Canada let's go for the maple flavored one and the classic which had cinnamon and sugar. The beavertails are warm and lite. They are like a donut but flat and long. The classic reminded me of a churro but a soft bite to it! The maple flavored was actually quite delicious. I was skeptical it was going to be overly sweet but it wasn't. The store is quite small. So you kinda order, grab and go. There is a little stand by the window but we took ours to go so we could continue exploring. I recommend a beavertail! Enjoy!!
We loved this place! We were traveling and found this place which is nothing like any "donut" place we've ever been to. It's located on the main strip and didn't have close parking, there also was not any seating space inside, so just be aware of that prior to visiting. We went first thing after they opened and was able to walk right in. We ordered three different BeaverTails and a small beaver bites. We loved all of the beavertails, but probably could have done without the bites. The beavertails were made right as we ordered and you could definitely tell! The dough had a nice crisp and wasn't soggy at all from the toppings. Grab a big handful of napkins because you WILL need them! I would definitely travel again just to go to this place!
We've never had beaver tails before, so this was our first time. It was really good. I mean it just reminded me of a funnel cake with chocolate and banana slices on it, so you can't really go wrong. It is so addicting though like more than other desserts or ice cream so beware. The service was pretty fast like we got our food in 1 or 2 minutes, and the ambiance is meh I mean it's just a quick pickup and leave type of place so not big or anything - no tables, etc. read more

Beaver tails!!! No, you won't be eating an animal, but gosh this is by far tied for my favorite Canadian dessert, right up there with the Canadian butter cake. My fiancé loves the Nutella banana one and my favorite was the avalanche. But they have a huge menu so you're sure to find one that is perfect for your pallet. read more
Quick treat. Stopped by here to grab a "Classic" (cinnamon and sugar) after dinner and service was QUICK! The pastry was warm and the perfect dessert for a chilly evening. With crispy edges and a warm chewy center, the cinnamon was warm and the perfect accompaniment to the sweetness of the sugar. By the time I snapped a few photos of the menu and restaurant my order was already done. Great food, great experience and tons of options. Highly recommend the classic though. read more
Warm, fresh beaver tails! I'm glad I shared with my friends because even one is pretty generous in size - almost like a real beaver tail! It's basically a cinnamon flatbread, but it's delicious, especially with a scoop of cookie monster ice cream. The only downside is there's no seating at this location. So, you're left either standing outside on the street, or like us, eating quickly inside by the window. read more
This place on the Canada side of Niagara was okay but honestly a bit disappointing. We got the classic poutine which was fine, but I'm sure we could have gotten better elsewhere on that side of the border. The beaver tails themselves are basically flat churros. You can put all different kinds of toppings on them or have them mixed in as pieces in iced cream, but at the end of the day these are churros. They're fine but I don't think I would go again. read more

The perfect little afternoon sweet snack! I got the Killaloe Sunrise (cinnamon, sugar, and lemon) and was pleasantly surprised! It reminded me of a churro with lemon, which doesn't sound all that great, but somehow works! It is a bit small for the price, but a nice treat. read more

Top tier . What I was most excited about this place is that they have vegan options . That made me so happy . So I got the classic . And literally it was hot and fresh out the fryer . I loved that you don't get left over fried dough sitting in grease . It was fresh delicious and not too sweet . The workers here were very nice as well . They don't have a sitting area but you can take it to go . Super good and delicious read more

A small place that could be passed by but DON't! The beaver tails were AMAZING! We got the maple and the hazelnut peanut butter. Place was clean the only negative would be there is no place to sit but walking the strip with them is fine. read more

Saw many of these along Niagara Falls + around Toronto, but this was where we ordered our first treats. We ordered the Beavertail (apple pie) + scoops of ice cream. They were sweet and good, but nothing spectacular. The staff member wasn't very friendly either. We asked about a menu item, and she just looked at us and told us to "look at the menu." Wasn't friendly either. Wasn't the cleanest inside either. Bad service + uncleanliness + mediocre food= won't likely return. read more
We tried the original BeaverTails and added a scoop of maple walnut ice cream on the side, an absolutely perfect combo! The pastry was warm, crispy on the edges, and soft in the middle, with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. If i were to describe it, it tasted like a thin crispy churro but so much better! The maple walnut ice cream was creamy, rich, and full of authentic maple flavor with a nice crunch from the walnuts. It paired really well with the hot pastry. Definitely a must-try if you're in Canada! read more

This lady on YouTube mention this place & my sister in law mention it as well & she pretty good at gauging food places. I have not found any good food place in Niagara maybe because I am in a tourist area but this has been the best food I've tried in Niagara. It's was so light and doughy at the same time. They have a variety of flavors to choose from but I got the banana a Rama. My husband got the apple pie and he really like it. There not a lot of things he likes. My mother got the classic. My mother in law got a hot dog and she really like that. the place is small so you have to eat out on the street. As you can see it's a really messy but I didn't mine because this was the best food since I've been to Niagara. read more
Nice to meet you, BeaverTails! Wow. I wish the iconic Canadian pastries were somewhere in Houston as well. As a first timer, I chose a MEHPLE one, with maple flavored spread & sugar crunch, which was very delicious while it was still hot/ warm. I shared it with my dad and my daughter, of whom both were picky eaters and donut lovers, and they both loved it! It was just like a flat donut, crunchier and less flabby. We saw a BeaverTails food truck right outside the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto but when we were leaving the CN Tower, I totally forgot about it! Bummer :( read more

Many of my daughter's friends mentioned Beavertails when we are in Canada. We were able to locate one of Clifton Ave. of course we had to try it. Little shop, no place to sit but can stand in the back area and enjoy a pastry which is really dough shaped as a beaver tail and fried. After the dough is fried they cover the dough, I mean beaver tail per your selection. We went with the original which is sugar and cinnamon. Honestly it tasted like a churro but shaped differently. Worth a try if you are in the area and have never seen and tried this before. read more

Solid place for a beaver tail especially for being our first one. Got the mEHple one and it was perfectly crunchy and sweet. Staff was friendly and quick to get our order done. The lemonade was a slushie style which i was no expecting so i wouldn't do that again. The store front if quick drop in, order and walk with your food. Not much pizzazz but it's not needed, great for what you expect. read more
