This small and cozy bakery has some of my favorite breads and pastries. There's parking available by the condo parking lot and in the neighboring plaza, making it convenient if you are making a quick pick up. Some of my favourite items include the sour dough loaf and pear pastry. Although I haven't tried the beverage offerings, I heard good things about them and I'm excited to try next time I visit. I'm lucky to have a bakery with such welcoming service and high quality products so close to my home. If you're in the Richmond Hill area, check them out!

Cute unique bread & bakery in downtown Richmond Hill. The condo residents are so lucky to have this place accessible for their morning coffee and pastry run. This bread maker is the real deal. They have so many types of breads AND croissants and each has the right consistency. The tomato focaccia has the right chewy crunch and sea salted flavour, even better if you're lucky to get the timing fresh from the oven. Croissants are buttery, flaky and have a decent amount of filling. The Spinach & feta croissant reminds me of the Greek Spanakopita, it has such nice savoury flavours amongst the flaky layers. Small seated bar top facing windows out looking Yonge Street or a few tables out the cafe to enjoy your beverage and treats. Parking is free behind the building. Another entrance is from Yonge street but no street parking allowed.

Our favourite bakery and breakfast place in the area, the sour dough bread and focaccia is the best we have ever had. The place is in the 1st floor of a condo, very cozy and warm interior with area we can sit in the lobby, always busy and service is great! The parking is a little hassle though, needs to park underground with the shop's business card.

I'm usually here for the focaccia, bagels, or sourdough. Great place for freshly baked goods. They also serve coffee. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Strongly recommend.

Saw very good google reviews so came in to check it out. It is located inside a condominium beside Yonge, parking can be found at the back. We bought croissants and marble cake , both tasted very good. They also offer sourdough bread, will check it out next time. Service is good and fast.

Drove by this place at least a million times but never got a chance to try it. We were out super early, so wanted to get breakfast and coffee. The store is located on the ground floor of a condo building. Limited parking at the back or underground so it's probably best to park at the plaza next door (Brown donkatsu, wild wings etc) and just walk over. It smelled sooo good when we walked in, so it took us awhile to see what we wanted! We got a loaf of the honey wheat bread, plain almond croissant, strawberry danish, lemon meringue and two americano. The americano was quite good and there was crema (dont expect this from starbucks lol). The croissant was super flaky and the strawberry danish was not too sweet. They were both delicious! We haven't tried the bread or meringue yet but I'm sure they taste good! Must try if you're in the area!!

What a cozy place close to Yonge and Weldrick! Definitely a hidden gem -- it's easy to miss it between all the buildings. It's located in the underground level of a condo residential building. Even though finding parking was a bit of headache as we had to go to the underground parking lot for residential visitors, I really enjoyed the vibes of this place. The decorations were simple and there is a nice view of Yonge street from the coffee shop. They have quite a bit of seating available in the building lobby as well as outdoor benches which were closed due to cold weather when I went. I tried their latte, black tea, as well as their macchiato. The tea (not pictured) came in a cup the size of a bowl! The latte was delicious, strong, and came with beautiful latte art. It's the perfect spot for studying and getting some work done, a coffee catch-up, and to grab a quick snack. They also have pizzas!

I'm so happy there's finally tasty fresh bread in the area!! I took home a sesame sourdough loaf and made a delicious sandwich with it It was only slightly acidic and very soft with a great crunchy crust which I enjoyed very much. I'm going to visit on the weekend to try get myself a specialty loaf. * There is parking at the back of the condo building. You can access the bakery through the receptionist entrance, no need to walk around the complex to reach the storefront*

Delicious - Thats probably the first word that comes to my mind when I think of this place. Crust baking company recently opened in Richmond Hill around July 2020. They have a small unassuming location under some condos on the west side of Yonge Street. Apparently they also supply baked goods to local restaurants as well, including Next Door restaurant in Unionville Main Street When you first walk by the area though, there is an unmistakable smell of something freshly baked. Walking into this place, its small but neat and tidy. They had some very interesting selections of items, and we ended up trying a chicken sandwich, a sour dough baguette and a "Paris Brest". Nothing too fancy sounding, but oh boy was everything so very tasty. The sandwich was filled with pieces of chicken, and what I believe was Dijon mustard and we were given some pickles on the side. The crust of the bread was crunchy, and the bread itself was firm enough to hold the contents of the sandwich without anything leaking out, yet airy and melt in your mouth. This was incredibly simple, but so very well done. The baguettes are baked fresh every day, and was an absolute joy to eat. The pasty was quite decent, but I suspect would have been a lot more tastier if it was fresher. If your into baked goods, I would not hesitate to recommend trying this place. Everything here is simple, but the devil is in the details and this place really makes everything very tasty.

Found this gem on Yelp!!! It's so good. It's crispy on the outside and so soft when you took a bite. I don't used to like eating croissants because most of them are dry but The croissants from Crust are not like this. They are soft, and moist and yet crispy on the outside. Besides, their latte was very good. A nice relaxing place to chill out on a Sunday morning.

Crust Baking Company is a small bakery in Richmond Hill. The shop was a bit hard to find, as parking is in the rear of a commercial building but you need to either walk through a lobby or around the building to find the bakery. I purchased a latte and an almond croissant. The almond croissants are delicious! The almond croissant I got was a touch too crunchy on the exterior for my preference when eaten straight out of store. It had lots of buttery flaky layers and crisp almond flakes, with a good amount of almond filling inside the croissant. I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. But after heating the other half of the croissant in the oven for 5min yin a 400F oven, the croissant was soft, flaky, buttery and so delicious that I had to amend my 4 star review to a 5 star. They make a great oat milk latte as well - smooth, creamy and delicious which was just what I needed to cure my hunger and caffeine deprivation- induced headache. Crust offers lots of breads and savoury treats to choose from. Currently they limit indoor capacity to 2 people in the store. The high top table areas were cordoned off during stage 2 pandemic restrictions. I would definitely return if in the area to try their danishes and sourdough breads.

    Pain au Chocolat
    Dina B.

Absolutely amazing. Really lives up to its name. I got the Pain au Chocolat and the strawberry danish and both were perfectly crispy, flaky and buttery. So so great. The Pain au Chocolat had a chocolate filling that was denser than your average chocolate spread but I really enjoyed that as it complemented the softness of the pastry under the crust. 100% will be getting again. Same goes for the strawberry danish. Crispy, flaky, flavorful, delicious. The only thing to make me have enjoyed it even more is if the strawberries were a little denser. The strawberries were a little too soft for my liking, where they almost seemed to taste like strawberry yogurt when mixed with the custard/cheese filling. My friend, on the other hand, enjoyed the softness of the strawberries, so it's all personal preference, really. Overall, really great place. Maybe even my favourite so far.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.
