Small shop front located in an industrial area of buildings, there is ample parking outside. Inside have a few barcounters for standing but otherwise no seating. Short wait inside but worth it!! They have a great selection of pastries, breads and sandwiches as well as coffee/tea. I love their lemon cheesecake danish and also got an espresso bomb croissant thing (filled with not overly sweet espresso cream). Their latest creation the caramel pecan one is so crispy and crunchy and I absolutely loved the textures inside. This place def worth a visit!!

I went there on a Saturday and was excited to see a big line outside of the bakery -- a good sign for any bakery! Although it was quite cold outside, I happily waiting as I had heard lots of great things... and the wait was definitely worth it. Inside, there was so many items to choose from. I ended up getting the almond croissant and it has to be one of the best ones I've ever had. My only regret is not getting more, but alas, it gives me a reason to visit again! Will see you guys soon.

Always busy and they sell out quickly so be sure to go early. Everything is delicious. They're excellent at what they do and it's an efficient ordering process. Can't wait to try more

Such a gem and love this bakery in Vaughan for their amazing and delicious pastries!! Love how the pastries aren't too sweet and the croissants are so crunchy and flaky. They've got tiramisu danish, almond croissants, cookies, etc. which are all a must try and definitely recommend coming early to get first dibs as they do sell out closer to the end of the day. They've got long lineups for a reason and also come out with seasonal pastries too!

One of the best bakeries ever hands down! There is usually a long line on the weekend but luckily it goes quite fast. The staff are all really friendly and the store itself is small and intimate. With respect to the pastries there are so many unique flavours depending on what is in season and they are all phenomenal. They also have focaccia sandwiches that are delicious and fresh baked bread that you can buy. Overall everything we purchased was a hit and I will continue to be back!

An awesome bakery. Their filled croissants are the star -- our favourites are the strawberry-mascarpone and matcha-raspberry, both featuring a rich mascarpone-based filling surrounded by flakey buttery croissant. Their danishes are decent, but we preferred the croissants and pain au chocolat; all very reasonably priced between $5-$7 per. The bialy sandwiches ($11) are also fantastic, mortadella and pistachio being our favorite, with a rich pistachio mayo (?) on chewy, fresh bread. Coffees are excellent, although a bit pricey, and are only available in to-go cups. This is a small shop with no seating. The staff were patient and friendly both times we went!

These were the best croissants I had in the GTA. They have a wide variety of flavors to satisfy any craving, and everything is freshly baked. They have lavish pastries, sandwiches and whole loafs of bread as well. They also have coffee. It is a small space, with no seating. The staff were friendly and very hard working. You can order individual items or a box of 4 or 6 pastries. We got a box of 6 croissants, the flavors were, almond, pistachio, biscoff, espresso, tiramisu and lemon blueberry. My favorite ones were the almond and biscoff. All the croissants were super flakey and not too sweet. Some were a little on the creamier side, but its all about personal preference. We also got fresh sourdough bread, which was delicious. There's going to be a line so I suggest going early. We went an hour after it opened and there were a good amount people there already. I would definitely recommend.

Bartholomew has become one of my favorites! I typically get sweet croissants but this time I decided to try a savory croissant they're Ham and cheese and it was so delicious the cheese is shaved so it's not super overpowering but it's definitely rich in flavor I do wish that it was served hot cuz I love a hot croissant but you can tell that quality ingredients were put into this croissant and all the different layers of the croissant the crunch of the outside the softness on the inside 9/10 for me. I also tried their toffee cookie it's a chocolate chip cookie with hints of toffee and it was absolutely delicious the outside was crispy but not burnt and the inside was soft there were a little bits that were a little undercook but honestly and didn't even matter to me I didn't even stop to take a sip of my latte the cookie is 10/10 highly recommend! After taxes my total came up to a little bit over $13 and I got the ham and cheese danish, one Spanish latte and one toffee cookie. I visited just before 9:00 a.m. on a Wednesday and there were handful of people waiting for their order but there is no one in front of me to place an order so wasn't too much of a wait

Great vaughan gem! This place is super popular and line up always on weekends but thankfully never a line up during weekdays. The vanilla latte is good, they use De mello beans. The prices are decently priced, they're good but i wouldn't say i'm wow'd by them. To get a box you have to get 4 pastries?? I would suggest to charge for the box instead if someone doesn't really need more pastries. They sell sourdough and pies. When its was time to purchase, surprised they don't accept tips? on the machine just shows the total. They should put an option, especially since they're a well known bakery, it gets busy! FYI ONLY TAKEOUT. no chairs. Service was fast and efficient. I would recommend the espresso cruffin, pistachio, almond. Their special flavoured bakery goods change weekly i think. But check their instagram or website to keep updated. I need to try the DUBAI CROISSANT NEOWWWW

Espresso, tiramisu, and the strawberry shortcake! Along with plain and sourdough bread in the back

Exceptional croissants! Variety of selections to choose from and they offer seasonal flavours as well. I'm not usually a big fan of croissants, but they definitely do it really well here. Not a sit down place, but good service overall.

    Laura T.

A great new spot for DELICIOUS CROISSANTS! There twice baked pistachios and almond croissant has taken my spot for best croissant, previous titled held by Emmer. We came on a weekend and had to wait around 15 mins outside the bakery, while it's not long, it might be rough during bad weather. Staff were pretty quick once we made it to the counter. This is a bakery only with no seating and small stand up banister that you could probably chow down a sandwich. I'd definitely come back for their croissant and might try their sandwiches too. We didn't order a coffee after hearing a previous customer say it top them 30 mins for their coffee order. Not sure if this was a regular occurrence or something happened with the coffee bar that day specifically. We decided to pick up coffee elsewhere after hearing that.

So you constantly see this bakery on all platforms for social media it's been on the list to do for quite a while however, I didn't wanna wait in long lineups. So as I'm headed out of the city, we were in the area so I said it's finally time to try it. Parking was full, so my husband dropped me off, but because the service is so efficient people were in and out very quick. I got myself a cappuccino and Italian trio focaccia, a butter croissant, and a cookies and cream pastry. Now it's the end of the day I was able to try everything that we purchased. Cappuccino was made perfectly - sandwich was not hard. You can tell that it was fresh l, the flavours were really delicious together. My husband ate the butter croissant. He said it was delicious. You could definitely taste that it is more luxurious than your average croissant. As for the cookies and cream pastry - It definitely was not sweet. The actual cookie in the inside was wonderful and it worked really well with the croissant and the cream flavour. I would recommend and definitely come back. All four items roughly cost about $25 (well worth it). Thank you and I definitely will be coming back again.

Tip: Collect My Crumbs rewards and redeem them for goods…read more It was a soggy, downpour of a Saturday. I was heading home, driving along highway 7. I remembered seeing this Crumbl store in Woodbridge, which is next door to Nations Fresh Foods. I decided to place an order and drop by. What was special about last week was that Crumbl had a lemon cake. I have had it before. It's excellent. I needed to get one. I parked closer to Nations and placed my order through the Crumbl app: - Lemon cake - 24-ounce (medium) EZ breezy I paid. I then took my umbrella and walked over to Crumbl. It was exceptionally busy at roughly 4;45 pm. Everyone was standing around. I frankly didn't know where I should be. There were a couple of self-serve kiosks where you could place your order. No one was there. There must have been at least fifteen teenagers who spoke French the entire time. They were lined up against the wall. This store has a washroom. It was my first time being in a Crumbl store with one open to the public. There was a young woman in front of me who kept on looking back at me and everyone else. It was weird and annoying. I saw my name on the screen. I was thrilled that my order was being made. I heard my name. My EZ breeze beverage was ready. The nice man handed it to me along with a straw. It was a bit difficult to poke my straw through the lid. Some of drink came up on the lid. I slurped it like the person who doesn't want a drop wasted because this drink was $7.55 before taxes. I will say that this drink was excellent. The EZ (I keep saying e-zed because I'm Canadian) breezy had Diet Coke, regular ice, sugar-free coconut, a lime wedge, and coconut cream. It had the perfect coconut-lime combination that I craved, along with Diet Coke. I was thrilled that it was a sugar-free drink that didn't suck. It took maybe an extra five minutes before my lemon cake was ready. The staring-behind woman stopped staring when I got my drink, followed by my cake. At Crumbl, staffers open the box to show you your dessert items. It was my first time seeing a staffer open up the box and accidentally squash some of the lemon cream cheese frosting on my lemon cake with his huge thumb. It was a bit sad seeing someone destroy a part of my cake before I got to. I don't think there's a policy to fix a cake that a staffer has messed up. I didn't think about it when it happened and simply took it. It would be yummy, whether the frosting was messed up or not. I put my lemon cake in a reusable bag to protect it from the rain and headed to my car. I then drove home, continuing to drink my EZ breezy. Delicious! I had the lemon cake later on in the evening. It was yummy just as I had remembered it. The cake was fluffy. The lemon tartness was perfect. The cream cheese frosting was lemony and heavenly. I was thrilled that I got to enjoy this cake again. I should try coming here after work and see whether it's busy. I had a good experience, despite having cake with a bonus thumbprint. (223)

Last Saturday, I was in my car, parked steps away from Zoup! I had placed a dinner order. I looked across the plaza and noticed Paris Baguette (PB). I had visited COBS Bread a couple of hours earlier. Did I need another bakery visit? Yes! I had some time to kill before picking up my dinner. It was raining. I drove over to PB and parked relatively close to the store. I walked in. I felt like I was in heaven. Carb heaven. Where should I start? I got a tray. There were instructions to grab a small piece of paper and lay it on the tray. I got tongs and went to work. I saw palmiers. My mom loves them. I grabbed one with my tongs and broke off a curved section. It was probably a first for me. I ate the broken part and placed the imperfect palmier on my tray. The broken piece was yummy and was perfection. I finally understood why my mom loves palmiers. I hit the croissant section. I got a pain au chocolat, which is probably my favourite type of croissant. I also got a chocolate croissant. A nice, older woman started chatting with me. She was so sweet. She let me know that she frequents this bakery often and loves it. I asked her what items she hasn't had. It was two items, which floored me. She noticed the chausson aux pommes that I had on my tray and said that it was yummy. I got the following items: - Chausson aux pommes - Chocolate croissant - Pineapple brûlée pastry - Palmier - Pastel de nata - Pain au chocolat - Curry croquette The nice woman let me know that Mia, who was the staffer behind the counter, let her know that this bakery has Korean owners. Really? It made sense seeing mochi donuts. We both hit the checkout counter. Mia got her order and said to grab a seat. She'd bring everything to her. This nice woman said that she was shy of being 90 years old. What?! She looked great! I wouldn't have guessed that I was talking to an 89-year-old woman during my entire time here. I hope that when I am her age, I am savouring pastry as often as my new friend. Mia was great. She put all my pastries in a box. She singled out my savoury curry croquette in a paper bag. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I got my receipt, thanked her, grabbed my goodies, wished my new friend a wonderful day, and left. There was a Wild game that night. I had a pastry each period. Three pastries in three hours. They were delicious! I will say that the ones with fresh fruit were the most expensive, just over $6. They were worth it. The chausson aux pommes had the best apple filling. It was flaky and delicious. I absolutely devoured the pineapple brûlée pastry. The pineapple chunks were set in custard and were so naturally sweet. This pastry was superb. The pain au chocolat continues to be my favourite croissant. It was flaky and had the best chocolate in every bite. So good! I had the chocolate croissant and loved it. It was fresh, flaky, and soft. The chocolate drizzle had the right amount of chocolate with the buttery croissant. I was extremely happy with my pastel de nata. The custard had a hint of sweetness. The base of flaky. It could have been torched on top more, but I'd get half a dozen next time. I didn't know what to expect with the curry croquette. It was delicious. It had a crispy exterior, crusted with a mix of white and black sesame seeds. The curry filling was full of good flavour. It had veggies in it. The corn and carrot combination worked nicely. I raved about this place to my friend at work today. There's one at Heartland in Mississauga, which is perfect for us to do a run after work. I had an excellent experience. It was nice meeting a passionate pastry lover while getting her take on what she loves. Everything that I consumed was excellent. I hope to get a drink next time and perhaps sit down to enjoy it. I'll be back. (117)

What presents itself modestly as a neighbourhood Italian bakery reveals, upon closer acquaintance, something altogether more intriguing: a transatlantic pastry dialogue between the Old World and South America, shaped by the hands of a Uruguayan chef who brings both traditions to bear with quiet confidence. The cannoli are, without equivocation, the crown jewel of this establishment. Piped to order, the filling achieves a textural ideal -- sweetly yielding, impeccably creamy, and notably free of the aggressive lemon notes that so often overwhelm lesser versions. The shell delivers a satisfying, delicate crunch, its restraint allowing the ricotta cream to assert itself as the undisputed protagonist. These are cannoli that would draw admiration well beyond the borders of Woodbridge. One ought not to overlook the sfogliatelle, rendered here in golden, shattering layers, nor the cherry-filled donuts -- generously proportioned, freshly made, and possessed of a quality that lingers in memory long after the visit. The facturas, custard-filled and dusted with care, speak fluently to the South American soul of the kitchen, while the empanadas offer a savoury counterpoint of notable finesse. The space itself is intimate to the point of cosiness -- a handful of seats, a tall central table, and a glass case brimming with the day's offerings. The pace is unhurried, the atmosphere warmly domestic. Tony, the proprietor, greets each guest with a hospitality that feels entirely genuine -- the kind of welcome that transforms a transaction into something closer to a visit with an old friend. If one were to offer a gentle note, it might be that the sheer breadth of the offering -- Italian classics alongside Uruguayan specialties and homemade ravioli -- occasionally tests the boundaries of the compact space. Yet this abundance, curated with evident passion, is ultimately more virtue than flaw. La Strada is a bakery for those who understand that the finest pleasures are often found where one least expects them.

One of the things that originally made Bready stand out for me when it opened was the pancakes. They were exceptionally light and airy, with a texture that reminded me of Japanese-style soufflé pancakes. On this visit, however, they seemed much denser and closer to conventional pancakes. I'm not sure whether the recipe has changed or whether this was simply an off morning, but it wasn't the experience I'd come to expect. There were also a couple of aspects of the service that I think could be improved. The pancakes took long enough to prepare that my coffee was either cold or already finished by the time they reached the table. Going back to the counter to buy another coffee isn't a great solution because the pancakes then begin cooling while you're waiting in line for that second cup. It might help if customers ordering pancakes were asked whether they'd prefer their coffee served with the meal, or if staff simply checked whether they'd like a fresh coffee when the pancakes are ready. I was also surprised that butter isn't served with the pancakes unless requested. When I asked for it, it arrived straight from the refrigerator, so it was too cold and hard to spread easily or melt onto the hot pancakes. A small dish of room-temperature butter would make a noticeable difference. I'm writing this because Bready has been one of my favourite breakfast spots, and I'd genuinely like to see it continue to excel. I hope this visit was an exception rather than a sign that things have changed.

Of course, this is subjective, so this might be someone else's favorite! Bakery & Service: The store was clean, well-organized, and easy to browse. The staff was friendly, but I wish they had price tags on display. Beyond cannoli, this bakery offers a huge selection of pastries, bread, cakes, deli meats, ready-to-eat meals, coffee, and gelato--so I'd love to come back and try more!

I visited the store just before closing time (around 7:57 PM, with posted hours until 8:00 PM). The…read morestaff member at the counter made no effort to understand my purpose for being there. When I attempted to speak, she glanced at a colleague, checked the time, and rather dismissively stated, "We are closed." This was confusing, as several customers were still actively shopping and completing purchases. When I pointed this out, she responded that "this section is closed," despite remaining at the same counter and continuing her work. The interaction came across as unprofessional and discourteous. I would expect a more respectful and customer-oriented approach, particularly when the store is still open and serving others. I hope management is aware of such conduct, as it does not reflect well on the overall customer experience.

I have been using the Too Good to Go app here and there. The problem that I found was that all…read moreplaces locally within Markham tend to have sold out on end-of-day food before I look at the app. The concept is great. Rather than having businesses throw out food and have it go to waste at the end of the day, they sell it at reduced prices through the app. I decided to expand my search radius, which has been wonderful. I found Bravo Baklava and Bagels. I bought a surprise bag for $6. My pickup time was between noon and 7 pm yesterday. I took my time getting there on a Saturday, eventually arriving well before 2 pm. Bravo is in a plaza with a bunch of other stores, diagonally across from Canada's Wonderland. I found a parking spot and backed into it. I didn't do any research about Bravo before I headed over. I was delighted to see a sign saying that it's a Turkish bakery. I was in Istanbul several years ago. I absolutely loved hitting bakeries. I walked through the door and saw a fridge with fizzy drinks. I have not seen them since I was in Istanbul. It threw me back and I was incredibly happy. A lovely woman behind the counter said hi. I reciprocated. I looked at all the baklava in the display case. Wow! I was mesmerized. I let her know that it felt like being back in Istanbul. It felt so comfortable. I then indicated that I had a Too Good to Go order. I showed her my code and she started packing stuff for me. I liked that she described what I was getting. I was shocked at how much she was giving me. She showed me a generous slice of mango cake. She gave me two containers. She also gave me two bags of simits, which are Turkish bagels. These ones were huge and fully covered in sesame seeds. Each bag had four simits. I was so shocked to get so much food. She indicated that I should freeze the simits and take one out whenever I wanted one. She was so helpful. I looked at the puddings and desserts. I couldn't take my eyes off a baked good with a honey glaze, with some sesame seeds on it. She was so kind to put one in a bag and give it to me. It was such a kind gesture. She was so generous. I thanked her for everything and wished her a great day. I walked out and put everything in my car before I drove off. I ate the honey-glazed baked good in the car. It was so fresh. It had a touch of sweetness. It was chewy and still warm. I loved the sesame seeds on top. I ate it plain, but I'm sure that it would be yummy with a spread of your choice. I had one of the mango cakes for dessert last night. The cake was moist and yummy. The mango puree on top wasn't overly sugary. It tasted like ripe, fresh mangoes. This morning, I had a simit for breakfast with a couple of fried eggs. There is something enjoyable breaking up a simit and dipping it into runny egg yolks. Delicious! Each simit is generously covered in sesame seeds. It's chewy and so perfect. I love bagels, but simits are special. I remember having one every day while in Istanbul, thanks to the lounge area that offered them any time of day. I'm so glad that I can get my fix here and be transported back to Turkey. Bravo makes authentic simits and I am thrilled to have seven more to enjoy before I head back there for more. It was such an unexpected, cool find. I will go back and get a carbonated imported drink from Turkey, along with some baklava next time. This place also has Turkish delight. It was another weakness that I had developed while in Istanbul. Bravo is so deadly, but so good for Turkish pastries and desserts. (126)
