I'm actually relieved to see other negative reviews here about similar situations because I now know that they weren't specifically targeting me and this is just their norm-- consistently rude. I felt she was the owner or manager. For a small business in Glen Ellyn I was rather shocked at her lack of good customer service. On the flip side stopped at M & Em's the night of the Christmas Walk and the young lady manning the door was nice asked if I needed any help, answered my questions etc. They have great gifts for younger kids some prices are reasonable others are crazy high. But in GE I am see the overhead is high.

You sign up, pay a fee for price tags and drop off the goods. You can get a higher percentage of earnings if you volunteer to help or you can be a slug like me and get 65% of your sales by sitting at home and drinking a few beers the night of the sale. This organization is very particular about what merchandise they take (Thank God!). They only take name brands and no Target, Kmart or Walmart stuff. It all has to be in good shape and gets inspected when you drop off your goods. They take only children's clothes as well as baby gear. I was a little surprised when I found out the night before the sale that you needed an appointment to drop off your goods. I have to confess that I was a bit overwhelmed by the information packet I received and I must have skimmed through that section. You need to have the clothes on hangers and that presented a challenge since I had about 18 pairs of boys' shorts. One of the coordinators was more than happy to give me some hangers to use and for that I am grateful. I've participated in lots of these over the years. This was the most organized sale I've been in. Even the payment process was very efficient. At other sales it takes weeks to find out how your sales went (I always donate the non-sale items so I don't have to pick up) and then it took a few more weeks to get a check. Trendy Tots sent me an email a few days after the sale telling me the amount I sold and my cut of it and I just got the check in the mail! Check out their sale in the fall!
