Good and Gather is a nice boutique in Glen Ellyn. My husband and I poked our head in to check it out. We ended up loving the layout and products. I found a bunch of hilarious socks but were reasonably priced. I was laughing out loud too much. I hope I didn't bother the other customers. I picked out a pair of socks that will match with each family member that I have to buy Christmas gifts for. I am a teacher and was given a 10% educator discount even though I didn't have my school ID with me. I love this customer service! I highly recommend Gather and Collect! read more

Great shop for unique, funny or quirky gifts like the Saint Taylor Swift candle or the slogan items at reasonable prices. Perfect for milestone birthdays, holiday white elephant gifts, etc. my only issue with the shop is the resale shop within a shop towards the back of the store. A few rooms filled with a hodge podge of items all overpriced. I went yesterday and found a Target Universal Thread button up for $14. That same shirt was $16.99 brand new and selling for $4.99 at Goodwill. It is t like the used clothing is curated to justify the pricing. It's all low end brands and most of the items are heavily used. Granted I am a knowledgeable thrifter but it was crazy to see how heavily used and overpriced the items were. Even Treasure House a few shops down has better prices. read more

This store was an unexpected find! This place featured so many unique and Uncommon Goods that I have yet to see at the store. It's almost like walking into a Spencer's but finding all the gifts that you were looking for without being too inappropriate by walking into the back of the store. I absolutely love the cards that were featured here and they were exactly what I'm looking for, for many special occasions coming up. I spent nearly an hour and a half in the store! There are many incredible finds that you can expect to see here. If you've never been to the area this should be the first stop. Highly recommend checking this place out read more

Fabulous shop! I was visiting downtown Glen Ellyn from Oak Park today and the awesome Frida Kahlo display caught my eye. Oh my gosh. This store is the best! I love the clothes, felted creatures, beautiful cards & postcards, vinyl decals, adorable patches, journals, scarves, and more! I scored a few awesome LGBTQ pride items-very much appreciated, thank you to the owner. Staff was super- I was in & our in a flash and made it to my meeting, but this is one shop I'm definitely coming back to explore in greater depth. Loved everything about it and could have easily spent an hour here. read more

This is such a fun shop! We frequently visit Glen Ellyn restaurants, but only stopped in here for the first time today! When you go, make sure you set aside at least an hour to spend in here! There is so much to look at! My daughter especially loved the thrifted clothing section! Staff were very friendly and ended up talking with them for a bit after we checked out! This is a story of shop evolution or devolution, depending on how you see things... I've visited this shop for years. It was my go-to whenever in Glen Ellyn. It was like finding the best of all garage sales in one charming little shop. I was a sucker for way too many amateur oil paintings (and one super good one by someone rather famous that I managed to sell for a bundle!). But after a while the merchandise started seeming more like fake-garage sale kinda like the way Urban Outfitters does fake thrift shop. Assortments of blocks or Scrabble tiles or dish towels... nothing you couldn't find at Hobby Lobby. I'd still go in but fewer and fewer items seemed genuinely unique and caught my eye. I started passing it by. Then today I wandered in due to a delayed appointment elsewhere and was disappointed to see a further shift in the merchandise. Now there're lots of slogan items and desktop signs with smart-a$$ sayings. I don't recall ever seeing merchandise with the word F*CK on it before but now they have it as a part of the questionable charm. The illusion of this being the best pickings of a serious garage-saler is gone. This is the shadowlands of tchotchke world. I called it done for me though when seeing their assortment of political items. They had Obama lip balm but otherwise it was all "Impeach..." "F*ck..." Toilet paper... Oh boy. I get that the infected are all about the resistance but most of the reasonable citizens of this country are pretty darned tired of the Trump Derangement Syndrome. This isn't cute. It's not fun. These aren't feel-good items. Perhaps this is a selling point for you but I'll take my dollars to places less consumed by hate and laugh even heartier that they sold me that $$ painting for $17. read more

This store is so cute and the person working the day we were there was really nice but I wish they'd consider removing the vulgar language items. It's really oft-putting, especially for those who are shopping with younger people. My teen daughter loved the store but was really uncomfortable with some of the items she came across. We probably won't shop there again for that reason. read more

Never Again... We are never again going there. They had so many overpriced, small items that could just clutter anyone's house. The employee working there asked me creepy questions: my age, name, where I lived, etc., and told me that she was going to make me wander through all the feminine care aisles in Target. My go to place when I'm in downtown GE. I never know what I'm going to find, or what is going to spark my giggles or interest. I have many, many paintings from here as well as collections of things Julie keeps me up to date on. Seriously the most fun vintage shop. Newly added goods are cards, puzzles, sarcastic signs, naughty pencils, local soaps and honey. And yes, anti-Trump stuff. Back in the good 'ol days some stores sold anti-Obama stuff (why?). So to each his own. This store is awesome. If you every are looking for something in particular, the owner will likely have it and can get it to you in a couple of days. read more

Cannot figure this shop out. I always go in hoping to find something cool, but leave empty handed. The lady that owns it is nice. Lets you browse around as long as you want. Last time I was there she had mostly knitted afghans---a lot of them. The store is neat and well organized and loaded with interesting items. Maybe I will have better luck next time. read more

This place is a GEM. The owner, Julie, has a fantastic eye for style. I've purchased furniture, jewelry, and so much more..... They always have interesting things that you can't get anywhere else- I got an awesome map of Chicago from the 60s that is hanging over my dining room table This is my go to place for gifts, I've found cool pottery that I'll put fresh flowers in for a hostess gift, or pick up a little piece of jewelry for a girlfriend's birthday. The space was a little crowded but there was so much nice merchandise to look at. What really made it an enjoyable time was the staff member present. I would go again just to talk to the lady.
