I have been a customer at this Laundromat for almost 2 years. I usually go once or sometimes twice…read morea week. I am always polite and respectful. The female staff is very professional. But I do have valid complaint regarding the manager who also owns the business. Today I did my laundry in an older machine. It's at the back row and 4.00. Because it was very busy , it was the only machine available, so I put it xtra clothes in the machine. This is the only time I have done this. I'm not the only customer who has done this and I most likely won't be the last. After loading the machine I went to sit outside , and then when I returned , the lid of the washer was up. The manager was at the sink and instead of saying to me, "Excuse me miss but you put too many clothes in the machine. Please don't overload next time". But he proceeded to communicate to me in a very condescending way, that was rude, and belittling, and rolling his eyes at me like I am completely stupid. Then he proceeded to tell me that the engine of the machine was giving off an unpleasant odour can't I smell it, and it's ruining the machine. And because of me the cost of doing laundry goes up for everyone. ( lol... all because of me heh lol) There was no odour. That machine is used over and over again, so for me overloading , is not going to be my fault. So then I asked him if it's ok if I put the lid down of the washer, so the wash could finish, there were 4 minutes left. He replied " Oh... what are you trying to ask me now?", in a snitty rude arrogant voice. Then he says " Oh and that's not washing." and rolls his eyes , shakes his head and rudely walks away. He also said that my clothes would be soaking wet when I take them out. My clothes were washed My clothes were not soaking wet. This was a very humiliating way to be treated. I took a chance and came! So glad they were opened on Christmas Eve. They will open until 4pm. Wash takes 25 mins and 38 mins to dry. Total about $12.60 CAD. Make sure to put a timer so you know when to pull out or claim your laundry. Though it was coin laundry, you can ApplePay and they will give you the necessary coins, $1 CAD for detergent, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's super clean, the workers are very friendly and helpful, and the machines are actually GREAT quality. I've never had an issue on that end. It's a little pricey, but I think compared to other mats, and the quality of the mat itself (washers, dryers, service, etc) it is so much better, for damn near the same price.
