This tailor replaced a jacket zipper for me, and did a great job. Seams were straight, it closed well, I was pleased. So I brought my boat curtains to be sewn-- just four curtains to be cut from the cloth and then hemmed. It was critical to have them cut to the right measurements, which I provided. Unfortunately, they were all off be 1/4" to 3/4", and the hems were angled, not straight. This should have been an easy job for a tailor, but the result was sloppy, unprofessional. We have tried several places in town to get a few things repaired. Tailor to Go did excellent work (approved by my wife and her impeccable taste), did them at a far lower cost than offered at any other place in Nanaimo and always have the work done in a week. She has done hems, pocket replacements and general alterations, all the work has been excellent. read more

She is always on time, never had a problem with her work. For a small business owner she does a great job and easy to rely on.

I had my step-daughters prom dress altered with Tailor To Go. The seamstress was helpful, friendly and absolutely incredible. The dress had very fine spaghetti straps and had a corset top with a large bell type finish. She did an amazing job fitting it perfectly to a continuously growing teenager. I also had my own floral dress turned into a long skirt. Another fantastic job. I continue to go and would recommend this Taylor to anyone. I rated a 4 but its an outstanding 4, because in reality we all need the opportunity to surpass our best. read more

I would definitely never recommend this place to anyone, and would advice against using there services. I dropped off a dress I had hand sewn to have the hem completed as I cannot sew straight to save my life so I thought I would take the dress to someone who could. Looking at the website, I got a good impression of the hem skills they advertised. I dropped off the dress with confidence after a quick measurement of length I was happily on my way... I returned a few days later to pick up the dress and she quickly showed me the "hem" she had simply surged the bottom edge. I was still just happy I didn't have to do it at this point. Took the dress and started on my way back up island. Half way home I decided to actually look at the dress and realized there were white stains on the skirt. While trying to wipe these off (I assumed it was chalk for marking) I noticed a few tears in the surging at the bottom, and the fact that despite asking her to use the same colour thread(I even offered what I had), she had used black thread, and huge stitches on the bottom. Upon further looking I noticed how uneven the hem of the skirt actually was... I would never recommend the service of this place, the dress looked quite simple but was actually meant to be a bridesmaid dress, and I feel that they took very little care of my item and can't imagine how bad of a job they would do on something a little more tricky. read more
