WOW!!!! Jennifer is GREAT !! I live in Madison Ct and was going to look for a closer dry cleaners as I have used crystal hangers in the past but was looking for a closer place.. I decided to go back to this dry cleaner (I don't have too many items that need dry cleaning, so i don't go too often) I'm glad I did.There work is great but Jennifer is greater.. She definitely sells the place with her upbeat personality and hard work.. i actually look forward to going there..She even remembers my name when I walk in and as I said,I don't go often. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for a wedding emergency! I tried their Clinton location first, but found that it was no longer in existence. I was on my way to work so I drove up the shoreline to the next one I knew of, which happened to be this one because it is in the same plaza as the Walmart and Big Y. I dropped a suit off Wednesday morning, which I needed for a wedding Saturday. I asked the guy and he said he thought he could get it done Saturday morning. He said he would put a rush tag on it, however, the receipt and order still said "For Monday," but he told me not to worry. I did worry though, especially after reading some of the reviews on Yelp. I called Friday morning to check up on progress. They actually said that the suit would be ready the end of the day. It made me feel a bit more confident. I stopped by after work and asked for the suit. I think my heart stopped when the young woman looking on the computer said it was marked for Monday. I then told her I had spoken to someone this morning who said it would be done today. Her eyes then brightened and she said I think I know where it is! She found it! They just had not had the chance to take care of it. I was so relieved and so happy. The suit was intact, clean, and looked great. I was pretty happy! I would drop stuff off again, but maybe make sure the timeline isn't so close. read more

Will not go here again. Was told items that I dropped off thursday would be ready 5 pm Monday. Went in at 6:30 Monday. Initially the girl behind the counter couldn't find my items, and when she eventually found them, my suit (which I needed for mtg next day!) not ready. When I picked it up 2 days later, girl at counter refused to give me any sort of discount. Bad customer service and unreliable. Very disappointed by first (and only) experience here. read more

My husband and I started using Crystal Hanger when we moved to Guilford 7 years ago. Never had a problem with service - the owner was always super nice to me, and gave me a few freebies from time to time, as I was in there at least once or twice a week with multiple garments. Then I changed jobs, and the need for their weekly service went away. A month or so ago, I dropped off our comforter for a good cleaning. They promised delivery six days later. I came in a week later, and was told the comforter was too big for their dryer and had to take it to their sister location in Branford. No big deal, right? I called three days later to see if it was in. Nope. I was told it was still in Branford, but was given the additional vague answer that it would be ready in a "day or two" and was promised a phone call when it was ready. I called again two days later, and was told again it wasn't ready. Another phone call a day later. Still not ready, except this time I was told they could only clean "five comforters a week" and they were "cleaned in the order in which they were received". I was never told that when I dropped it off. If I had known that, I would have made alternate arrangements with a cleaner that could have it ready in a reasonable amount of time. At this point, I was completely fed up and just wanted the comforter back, clean or not. I finally called back the next day, a full two weeks after I dropped it off, and was told by the owner of the Branford store (who was in Guilford that day) that the comforter was now in East Haven and would be ready on Monday. I requested the comforter be brought to the cleaners that day so I could just have it back. He refused. I asked again, and told him I would pick it up in East Haven. Again, he refused. I had had it, and lost my temper. Instead of trying to calm me down, apologizing for their mixup, or something else to demonstrate good customer service, he yelled back and verbally threatened me. I ended the call. I don't need to be threatened by anyone. Finally, after over two weeks, someone called to let us know our comforter was finally ready. I sent my husband to pick it up, as I didn't want to set foot in there. I will never, ever go there again for any reason. Shame on the owner of the Branford store - he is a repulsive human being. read more

I have been going to this cleaners for many years- they have always done a great job from cleaning to ordering prom tuxedo's for us. The other day I needed dress shirts and two jackets pressed right away- they did them overnight and when I got there they were ready in time- however I forgot the pants . The clothes were my son's who was on his way to the airport- the owner Brian called to let me know they were left behind and then called my son and made arrangements to have one of his emplyees to meet my son with the pants!
