They take your shoes from you and put used sandals on your feet. She didn't ask me what areas I needed worked on. She said okay Swedish massage 90 minutes. She doesn't know what that is. They only give you a thin sheet to cover with. No bolster under ankles. She climbed on the table and was putting her whole body weight into me even on my neck which had me stressed. She's definitely not professionally trained because the amount of times she rubbed directly on my spine was so painful. A lot of the massage was fast movements, not relaxing at all. She had to leave to get towels, then vigorously rubbed me with them and they were rough and cheap, she exposed the tops of my butt cheeks and was rubbing them, I felt so violated but I'm terrible at speaking up about it. Then she rubbed my legs and while I was finally starting to relax she started slapping my foot and legs and startled me so bad!! She did this with both legs. Then she had me turn over and was mashing her hands all over my face and eyes, her nails kept pinching my skin on my arms, she would dig her thumbs into my neck and it hurt so bad I wanted to cry, she finished by manipulating my feet and grabbing them hard and it was painful and then she slapped my legs several times and said I was done. At one point during the massage someone took a phone call on speaker and I hear a man talking and it startled me because it sounded like they were in the room with me. Then I hear the doorbell going off and I hear a man's voice say "hello?" It sounded like he was in the room! She said excuse me, and she stepped out to deal with what I'm guessing was a delivery guy. The walls don't connect to the ceiling so you hear everything. I was seriously nervous that I was in a happy ending parlor. I will never ever return to this place. They are not professionally trained in massage. Stay far away from this place.

Needless to say, she didn't give me more time and when the customer called she hurried up and was fast & rough on the remainder 30min massage. So for the $140 1 hr couples massage, I was shorted time and not very happy. They need to get an answering service or a receptionist so it doesn't interfere with customers time that they paid for. A massage is supposed to be a nice relaxing time and this just hasn't been the case the last 3 times. We always tip good but this time they asked for tip...we told them no tip today and explained why and that since our massages got cut short with interruptions of them leaving the room they can use that as their tip. When you enter the door, you are greeted by a welcoming waiting area, complete with nice furniture, calming music, and dimmed lights. It is obvious that this area has been well planned instead of being an after thought, like so many other massage studios. Even though the studio is small, the waiting area gives it a spa-like feel and prepares you for relaxation. The massages are done in individual rooms that are decorated like a typical massage studio. The music selection is nice, and I love the various oils and scents used for my massage. I appreciate the climate isn't too cold, which has happened to me more times than not when visiting other studios. I always feel comfortable and safe at Beyond Massage. The prices are what makes Beyond Massage such a great place. No need to search for massage deals though discount sites and risk having a bad experience. The regular price for a one hour massage is $45! That is $15 cheaper than the average one hour massage. My therapist of choice is Micah. I highly recommend her. Her many years of experience teaching and giving massages makes her the perfect therapist for me. I love her.
