I booked my child's annual well visit a month out to make sure I was able to get an appointment. I drove an hour to get to the office because Garnet Health care is a thug medical company that enjoys threatening to take health care away from rural residents. After waiting 25 minutes in the saddest dingiest pediatric waiting room I have ever seen, we were informed that because my child's birthday was in four days, they would be unable to complete the visit. Not once in the previous month did they bother to communicate that to me. They did call me 30 minutes before his appointment and not bother to leave a message because apparently when your entire job is communication, a phone message is just too hard. I wasted 2.5 hours, pulled my child out of school for the day, and canceled meetings with my work because this office doesn't know how to handle basic scheduling or communication. read more

Getting a prescription refill is a stressful ordeal. It starts with the pharmacy contacting me 3 times to let me know the doctor is unresponsive. Then, I go to the patient portal and request it myself. I wait a week and call the pharmacy. Nothing. Then, I try to call Crystal Run for my prescription refill and am on hold for 20 minutes or more. By the time it all gets worked out, I have been without my medication for almost a week, which sets my health back months. This has been happening ever since they purchased by Optum. The only reason I go to Crystal Run,is because my cardiologist,Dr.Silverman,is associated with them.They have many good physicians there, and the wait times are usual as with any place, however I believe that the organization when it comes to billing, especially when it involves annual check ups from a regular physician, take advantage of clients.A free exam becomes chargeable,if you mention anything that can be construed as a reason for having the appointment.Of course, they are in business to make a profit, but it is wrong, even if the insurance I have gets stuck with the tab, just for mentioning the least sort of thing. Dr.Silvereman is the best.Regardless where ever I live, he will remain my doctor, his service is worth traveling and waiting for.I wish all my doctors were as good as him.The issues I mentioned, are with the general practitioner doctors, or the nurse practitioners. read more

I have been diagnosed with several back issues and have been seeing Dr Thomas Booker for my care. I have been taking a combination of muscle relaxer, Tylenol/codeine, and gabapentin for a few years. I needed a new script as my pharmacy had no refills left for the Tylenol/codeine and they offered to contact Crystal run to obtain this script on my behalf a week before I would have run out of my current prescription. Fast forward from Wednesday the week before to Wednesday of the following week, no response from Dr Bookers office. I called this morning and was told they never received a script request from my pharmacy as they are unsure where they could even access this request. I told the nurse that I only had enough medication to get me through today and could she process an emergency script as I feared the potential withdrawal I may experience if I abruptly stop taking this medication. she advised me this is not an emergency and that irregardless Dr Booker only fills prescriptions on Fridays. This is what healthcare has turned into and I am disgusted. There are very few private doctor practices anymore as insurance contracts pay so little to these providers they can not afford to stay in business! They have been forced to compromise quality service to quantity driven care. Meanwhile, insurance premiums continue to grow! The only ones who actually benefit with the current state of healthcare is the healthcare Insurances providers. When did the United States stop working for the people? I worked here in medicine dept 2007 to 2010, they are most genuine, intelligent people and physicians overall. All very professional, kind, caring physicians, especially, Dr Teitelbaum, Dr Spencer, Dr Khoury, the administration. You do good work in an intelligent, professional work environment. You would be surprised to know that in this day and age, this is not easy to find. If you have any issues, they will fix it and have empathy for any situation that comes up and address it immediately, so you can just focus on your very important work where excellent patient care is key. Came in today for my appointment, I was 15 minutes early and waited half past my appointment to go into the doctors office, be there for 23 minutes and being told that the things I was worried about don't matter and to ignore a cyst that hurts at times and was constantly interrupted. I've had problems with doctors here from the past, and this is my last time with crystal run. If they don't lose your blood tests, they lose your medical records. If they don't forget they blood tested you the day before and retest you, they constantly interrupt you when you're telling them what's going on. read more

If you want to be treated like a non-person, go here. You are just a number. you dont matter. They have a huge problem with their phone system. not only do you have to go through a phone tree, but then after being on hold for 20 minutes or more, you get to speak to a "patient representative." You tell them what you want, and then by computer they message your doctors office. when they get around to it, they "may" call you back. good luck getting a call from your doctor! You'll likely only get a nurse. I had a problem with my medication, and need help NOW! But it's day two, and I still haven't had a call back. So, I switched my medication on my own and am hoping I did the right thing. A big peeve... In earshot of everyone, they constantly ask for your birthdate. Not just your month and day, but your year... In front of everone in the waiting room. So the whole world gets to know how old you are. How embarrassing. And no matter how old you are, they call you by our first name. Excuse me, but I'm not your friend.. Have some respect and call me Ms... Unless I tell you otherwise. First of all I was asked to fill out paperwork as if I was a new patient.... Hello, I've been coming here for 5+ years, I think you should know my home address by now. I really love my Dr. (Dr. Yeddu) at Crystal Run Healthcare but my experience today has honestly made me reconsider why I come here. I'm not sure if it's just this location that is totally inept or if it is the entire business. My visits to their main offices seem to go a little smoother albeit with a little attitude from the staff. If you hate your job that much, don't get nasty with the patients you ignorant f**ks, go find a job somewhere else. Luckily I only have to come here twice a year. I'll let this slide as an off day, but if I get shitty service like this again, I might be shopping for a new doctor. read more
