I wish all business owners were as good and honest as Lou. Yes, there were a couple of glitches, but that can happen no matter what you buy or where you buy it. They said yes and a repairman called and asked for pictures. He gave me a quote over the phone by text. When he arrived, the repairman told me the floor was not installed properly; a plastic backing was supposed to be laid down underneath it, which it wasn't, and that was causing the floor to warp. His words " your entire floor is wavy". He said the repair wasn't worth it because it would not last. I contacted the store directly while the repairman was here. The woman who took my call was very rude. She stated the warranty was up and there was nothing she could do for me. She said the installation manager wouldn't be in until the next day and I needed to call back. I explained the repairman was here now and she said the repairman could contact the installation manager. I asked her for the number of the installation manager so I could contact him directly. She said she could not transfer me; she was in a different city. Said she was like the "french fry girl at McDonalds" and she could not help me. I told her I didn't ask to be transferred, just give me his number and I will call him directly. Her response: "have a nice day!" and she hung up on me! Then the store called the repairman AND TOLD HIM TO GET MY PAYMENT IN FULL BEFORE STARTING THE JOB. And when he told me that I asked him for an invoice and he said he had no paperwork on him. What kind of operation is this? In my humble opinion, the warranty shouldn't be valid if the installation was done improperly. Their customer service is terrible! And no invoice? A price was given to me over a text message from the repairman. I asked if the repair carried a warranty and he didn't know. Sounds like they got my money and they don't want to deal with the shoddy work that was done. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL! I will NEVER give them my business now. Bargain Bob's SUCKS! Particularly Pete!…read more We are preparing to sell our home and needed to replace the carpet in two rooms. We went chose a carpet then before we left, we selected something different. Pete came out and measured; the team came out and installed the carpet which we had to prepare for before the installation. When I went to check their work...They installed the wrong carpet. I contacted Pete and shared a picture of the sample he gave me vs what was installed. He called me and told me that the carpet they installed is better than what we chose so he's sure it looks great. I told him it didn't, but it's irrelevant since it's done. Not even an apology. I told him I would like to confirm I paid for the carpet I wanted (which was cheaper) and not the carpet he gave us. He said he'll call me Monday he doesn't have the information. Never got a call Monday. So I followed up and asked for my receipt. Which shows we were charged for the carpet they installed. To which he replied with a whole new story "WE did not have enough of the other carpet. There's only 20 feet on it. I thought we had discussed that because I didn't pick a cookie dough for you". I told him I was highly disappointed with this entire experience. We did not talk about switching the order back, I also requested a call back...which didn't happen. And now there is a fictitious story and all the while not even an apology. I closed with "we will not be using your company for ANYTHING in the future." His response "I'm sorry for the disappointment you were shown some samples sometimes the rolls aren't large enough...I'll make sure when the next experience that I make it up to you...I can't remember the exact line of communication because I deal with a lot of different sales, but I've been doing this for 21 years and usually do the same thing every time if I did and I apologize....That is really nice carpet." This was at great financial loss to him since he did not bill us for anything when tearing up and replacing a sizable amount of wood flooring.
