In the past I've mainly purchased herbal teas and remedies (fantastic selection, all organic and fair-sourced, great prices), but also occassionally picked up books, candles, incense, hand-crafted jewelry, and the like. I hear good things about the many classes they offer but haven't yet had the chance to sit in on one. They also have frequent events like psychic fairs with multiple readers on site. Again, I've never availed myself of these, but have been around when a couple of them have been going on. The definite sense I got was that people were enjoying and appreciating them. I'm happy to say that I did avail myself today of some new (for me) A Creative ApothaCare services, and I couldn't be happier. I purchased a package deal for time in first their infra-red sauna, followed by their salt cave. It was epic - and also therapeutic, insanely relaxing, and happily very affordable. I will certainly be back for more of the same. I understand also that ACA will soon have a sensory float tank up and running. I definitely want to check that out, and will post an update here when I do. A Creative ApothaCare - I just can't recommend this place enough. Between the herbal products (which also include CBD and kratom), and the spa services, they've got your health and wellness covered. With books and metaphysical supplies, they're addressing mind and spirit. Throw in a real sense of community, welcoming to everyone, and a safe and nurturing environment for folks who need that most, ACA is a treasure. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

If you are looking for great cat themed gifts or souvenirs you may not find it here, but they have lots of dog themed items. Since the name starts with Mad Dogs, you may think there are also dogs on the premises, but you would be wrong. But in all fairness, my daughter and I really enjoyed our time with the kitties. Although there are toys available to play with the cats, the laser pointer toy which we supplied, was the hit of the day. There were lots of really calm, huggable kitties, with a few little spitfires included to keep the humans and rambunctious kitties in line. I would probably go back again but not too often, considering that I own cats and the cost to see theirs is prohibitive.

Roy guided us through and he was awesome. Our tour was not rushed and he spent lots of time answering questions as we walked through. This visit came at a perfect time, because I had recently been in Iceland and had my photo taken with a giant troll at the airport, which I showed Roy. I had been wanting to bring my child here for quite some time, and today was finally the day we made it. At four years old, he was just as in awe as I was at some of the displays. There are FOURTEEN rooms housing this Guinness-record holding collection. Roy explained to us how tedious and time-consuming it is to submit evidence to be eligible for Guinness records. This is one of those places where you could come back several more times and still not quite see everything you wanted to see. So many nooks and crannies and hidden gems to feast your eyes on. My favorites are definitely the Norwegian trolls. Some of the scenes in that section of the museum vaguely reminded me of the Maelstrom (if you ever had visited Epcot years ago, you know what I'm talking about!) I did not get to meet Sherry, but we met her sweet gentle senior citizen dog. My son wanted to pet her and Roy told him it was okay. She probably didn't want to be bothered, but was kind enough to let a little boy give her a friendly pet. We also learned that Sherry owns the cat cafe right behind the troll museum. My son wanted to go there too, but we promised we would come back another day because we were really starving by the time we were done and had not yet had lunch. Also: the place right across the street looked a really cool place to dine, but it didn't open for another hour. We left with several magnets and some great photos. I am so glad we made time to visit this little gem in downtown Alliance.

Now, on to my review: My friend found Palladian Palette online and asked if I wanted to go. Being a super crafty girl, I enthusiastically said yes! My friend called their phone number and scheduled a painting time for last Friday night. When we first pulled up to the building, there were no parking spots available on the street. There is no lot to park in specifically for this place so we parked in the food stamp building parking lot across the street. Upon entering, we were greeted very warmly by the owner/instructor (Rachel Gentner) who was there to teach us how to paint that night. We grabbed seats in front of easels and popped open our bottle of wine. When everyone was seated, Rachel explained that she was an art teacher outside of her business and had majored in art at the University of Akron. She then began to explain how the night was going to go and how she teaches. She had us put painting smocks on, and put acrylic paints on our pallettes. She explained how the brushes worked and how to properly clean out the brushes between colors. Then we got to work on the paintings! Rachel has a calendar on her website showing what the painting of the night is so you can choose the painting you like and go that night. Everyone in the class does the same painting and follows along according to her very thorough instructions. She is excellent at explaining what to do and how to get the effects of what is going on the sample photo of the painting we are working on. She was also very helpful with replacing our brush water and making sure we had all the supplies we needed to complete our painting and have fun. She gave us plenty of free time to work on our paintings and didn't rush us at all. Also, I forgot to mention that she supplies the canvas, brushes, paints, easel, etc. The prices vary but the majority are currently $35/person. I suspect that price could fluctuate based on art supply prices. Overall, we had an excellent time and were very relaxed by the end of the night. It took approximately 3 hours from start to finish. I really enjoyed how encouraging the instructor was. Everyone in our class ended up with a different interpretation of the painting but they all turned out just beautiful! That's the fun part about it. Regardless of instruction, each painting is comepletely unique to the person who created it. Although I have prior painting experience, this place is definitely a great start for beginning painters! Do not be deterred if you aren't comfortable with a paint brush! She will teach you and help you succeed!

We both tried a flight of reds with extra tastings and the lemon feta spread. We happened to be the only people in the cave at the time and all of the staff gathered around for wonderful learning and conversation. Truly a one of a kind experience and each staff was so friendly and offered contributions to the wine conversations! I can't wait to come back and even attend some wine classes. The cave was cozy and inviting.

He joined ArtsinStark with the Chamber of Commerce and they work together to raise a 3 million dollar anual budget. They receive no government support and conduct an annual Arts Campaign for this 42-year-old foundation. ArtsinStark awards grants, 92 cents of every dollar goes back into programs and the monthly First Friday celebrations which feature many art galleries in the district. Galleries include: Journey Second April Acme Artists The Color Shoppe Sue Steiner Pets and many indivial artists who rent space in these and other galleries. Also music, food and dancing. Mr. Hankins also works as a talented event planner and public speaker. People are moving downtown and hope springs eternal!
